Imagine if there was a black gem which you need to complete stormy ascent with all boxes and no deaths, that would be really hard
Finally after like 2 hours I got the green gem. I have 92 lives from how many times I went through the level. Lol. Little tip, you can die on the bonus and still get the gem

I finally managed to get all the colored gems for this game today. The blue and purple game were surprisingly easy, but the red gem was legit a nightmare.
I almost gave up on the red tbh
It's much harder to get the red gem in the original crash bandicoot not that hard in the n sane trilogy.

Lost city gem was hard, I took orange and blue gem easily, now I'm going for the yellow... I really want to avoid red one as long as I can. This level is a nightmare...
I don't know if I should be proud of this, or be insulted, cause you made it look easy to get all the color gems, I can't even get the green gem let alone to even get to the end without freaking dying so much, why the heck did the stupid creators of the remastered had to get rid of the cheat codes, I'm literally going n sane (no pun intended) on this game, and sorry for calling the creators stupid, you guys are awesome out there.

the game is amazing and I love it! I never really had a chance to play the full original game because I never owned a PSX, but everytime I was in my friends hous I played Crash Bash with him and all the other games from the trilogy. I played a lot of crash on the gameboy advance (like crash the huge adventure, crash purple etc.) I really enjoy playing this game and hope Vicarious Visions provides more games with Crash Bandicoot :)

Getting 5 colored gems are the real challenge as for purple that will be easy.

To think you basically had to do this in every level in crash 1 on ps1.
Also on the lost city level there's w hidden aku aku mask floating up somewhere you will see the shadow if you try the lost city level
Special gems are a lot funnier in Crash 2.
I have all colourful gems, but I do not have green gem. Red gem took me like TWO HOURS!

u have to go out and reset the level unless its a bonus level them Ur aloud to die in other wise reset and go again

Took me less than a week to complete crash bandicoot aka crash 1 on 100% in n sane trilogy took me years to complete original crash bandicoot on 100%. original crash bandicoot is still harder

I became an expert at this game when I was a kid, so I can usually rack up a lot of extra lives

I did not try it, I was in the last level and the ps4 blocked the old account so I did all over again. I think not tho cause in ps4 there's autosave

I don't get how you get gems. You need to smash all the boxes or not die for all the stage?
So let me explain, there is levels with white gems, which you actually need to smash all boxes, but you can die you'll still get it, and there is levels with couloured gems, but this time you actually gotta not die
