I just put this mount on my Stag 10 .308, 6-24x50 Vortex first focal plane mrad. It ended up 2.75" center to bore height wise. My rifle weighs 13 pounds, and thats with a 16 inch Balistics advantage 416R barrel, Gamma 6 brake. Good video, im usually a Luepold only guy, but I'm going a different routethis time and hope this mount won't disappoint.
Just bought the quick release version after comparing other brands online, it just seems to look sturdier, and it comes with the top cap option of which I'll probably mount a bubble level.
probably a good call, I wasn't able to afford the PEPR mount for mine when i got it last year, but i'm considering buying a good condition used 30mm one for mine. I got a very nicely machines Monstrum slip 1 piece Cantilever mount, but I have the feeling the Height over Bore is not good for my particular .223 wylde upper.. i dunknow. Im also probably going to buy a cheaper Bear Creek Arsenal/Palmetto 5.56 NATO CHF barrelled upper befor elong if i can find one on a super sale because my Heavy profiled Stainless STeel .223 wylde upper i got with the build kit weighs a freakin ton. that and I want a setup for CQB Night Vision with a Prism/Red Dot and Magnifier/IR laser Illuminator set up, and a second lower for more CQB-Middle "Mountain Range" ( I live in the Appalachians and 400-500 yards around here is not something you'll commonly find unless down in the valleys, bout 150-400 and your rocking steady around here) I LOVE My Burris, and their standing behind their products the way they do with the Forever no Matter what Warranty is a GOLDEN standard i wish more higher end companies in every range of products embraced..( I am tempted to get a Primary Arms 1x Prism with thier killer AR 5.56 reticle, and stick a 5x magnifier behind it to...hmm.. I wish Burris made the RT-6 in a First Focal Plane version as well... I dunknow.. never owned a FFP scope but they look like they would be awesome)
The only thing I can say is, keep the invoice because you may need it in the future. I have a Bushnell Elite spotting scope that is/was still under warranty and Bushnell did not want to repair it, saying that it cost too much to repair. I mean Elite spotter, Elite binocular, and a lot of Elite rifle scopes with Bushnell name on them; I learned fast - no more Bushnell. One last thing, my first rifle installed Bush rifle scope and binocular Bushnell, first.
Good basic video! So sad Burris and Wheeler Engineering do not manufacture products in the USA. Also I suggest that you do not use the torque wrench to screw the bolt in, use the torque wrench to torque to specifications. Just FYI

Just picked one up yesterday a long with a Burris ar 1-6x x24 for 370.
Not a bad price!
Looks rock solid...... I'd use the slick tops as well
Thanks man! Can't really beat it for the money!

Thanks. Consider subscribing, if you haven't, for future videos!
What inch - pound did you tighten the mount base to? Says 65 on the package. I’m nowhere near, but it seems very tight already
I did 65 in/lbs with the Wheeler driver.
My wheeler torque wrench manual says to turn slowly till you get 3 clicks.
Hi,
What would you say is the minimum amount of picatinny you need for this mount?
Just curious, which level did you use on top?
Don't remember the brand name but I bought it at Lowe's. Wheeler makes a good set. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
