Hardly a race. I once got into a race with a modded Kawasaki 1000 Ninja. The race started at 40mph and I took it up to 165 mph. I had an 87 Grand National at the time with a built Stage II engine. I gapped the bike by about 4 car lengths. The bike owner was stunned. He asked me what the heck my car was. I told him Grand National but I didn't have the heart to tell him he got spanked by a V6.
I've never lost to a street bike from a roll, EVER. I think the Buicks are the only car that they give a thumbs up to when they encounter them on the streets. Pretty crazy to have that much effect on psyche after all these years
Clearly only one car was racing for the first one, and the Z again took the hit on the second one... No doubt the GN was the faster car here, but likely didn't have the gearing to run up top. Thanks for posting, all nice cars for sure!
haha yeah he spooled up and took off first and immediately got out of it.. I didn't realize that until watching the footage. second was a good run, wish he let it run out a little further. but hey we had some fun and super cool car to check out.
I know from experience that I have a very narrow window of operation from like 60-120. Below 55 i fishtail and above that, it's still a regal suspension lol.

Everyone should know that black buick isn't a joke they weren't rated factory correct either we had a gnx that had fallen off a transport years ago gm donated it to our school it made 331 whp on stock trim with 12 miles on it...
The Cleveland Plain Dealer came out with an article revealing that GM didn't want to upstage the Corvette so they fudged the numbers. It was more like 267 bone stock, not 245. But with an aftermarket chip and no converter, the car easily made over 300. I can attest to this because I have owned one since the summer of '88 and have only lost one race to a blown Chevelle on I-480 in my 30 years of countless street races!
If Darth Vader was a car, he would be a grand national regal
Hahaha, Car And Driver, 1987. Good day......
Two of my favorite cars!! I will own a Z06 one day!!!
bring it to SF for some work when you do!
Rather have the GN....

Don't worry... once he looked it up he eventually found out.
