Overhaul of one of our MAN 8L28/38 engines. This engine had 26k hours on it. replacement of all cylinder heads, pistons, liners, water jackets, rods, and marine heads. Were these 2” headers? Can’t find 1 7/8 on TSP website. Tsp says there may be fitment issues may require moving the engine or dimpling headers.
@JMayhemMusic maybe they stopped making 1-7/8 ? I'm not sure these installs I did were a few years ago now haven't don't any recently.
Having the same issue at the moment on my 2016 Camaro ss, what type of lifter did you go with ?
owner was in a rush so we just put factory dod lifters in it. If I were doing the project I would do a dod delete and camshaft at the same time.

FL and TX are the only states you'd get away with that exhaust. Here in the midwest IL/KY/MO/OH as soon as I would leave the subdivision I'd get pulled over 100% for loud exhaust. It's the stupidest thing ever.

I’m putting back together my 2014 C7. Did you change the fuel lines for new ones are kept original?
@dondon-tn1xs origional. I believe it does say in the book your supposed to replace them though.

Why didnt check egzhaust side clerance ? Maybe gaps is bigger than limits 🤷♂️

I have a 2014 c7 with a manual transmission. lifter failure at 69,000 miles.
@dondon-tn1xs sorry to hear that. I'm just really learning now this is common with c7 and DOD lifters.

Where can i get that pump that you used to pump the transmission oil? If you made it on your own, can you send me everything i need to make one as well?
It is just a fluid transfer pump you can get at any parts store. Harbor Freight even has them. They screw right on the quart bottle. They are also great for differential fluid changes. He tells you what to buy to make the exact setup he has.

it was about 1k I'm parts, then plus what ever your local shop would charge for labor.

Wow 30k that’s like a brand new car.. dealerships will charge you about 5 to 6,000 just for labor. Shop around get multiple quotes.
Attempting to resurrect this video in an attempt to get some answers. I’m going to do this mod soon in some form or fashion. Love your videos and I think you do great work. 👍 Do you think this mod could be accomplished using two exhaust clamps and then tack weld the bolts so it doesn’t come loose inside the muffler? That way you would only need to cut into one side versus both.
the way I did it, I only cut a window in one side of the muffler. but yes, I think you can use clamps also. tacking the bolt would also be a good idea as you mentioned so it doesn't come loose. good luck with your project and let me know if you have any more questions. cheers!

I have an '08 with Z51 package which has a tranny cooler. How does that affect your fluid change. Worked for Chev 25 years. I use mobil 1 in the engine. Other lubes I use the genuine GM products

Everyone should know that black buick isn't a joke they weren't rated factory correct either we had a gnx that had fallen off a transport years ago gm donated it to our school it made 331 whp on stock trim with 12 miles on it...
The Cleveland Plain Dealer came out with an article revealing that GM didn't want to upstage the Corvette so they fudged the numbers. It was more like 267 bone stock, not 245. But with an aftermarket chip and no converter, the car easily made over 300. I can attest to this because I have owned one since the summer of '88 and have only lost one race to a blown Chevelle on I-480 in my 30 years of countless street races!

I got the doorman valve cover and intake manifold still po171 the cruz is utterly ass bottom line
check the vacuum lines under the intake manifold. I had one pop off and caused that code from the wastegate lines.

Did you ever fix the problem with your hood? I installed the same Corsa CAI on my c7 today and had the same issue.. the hood wouldn't close on the passenger side. What did you do to fix it?
