Mate, you have no idea how much I appreciate your vids, your advice has been invaluable. Managed to get a 114cm on fly (Game Changer on the Striper IV) down the pin just the other day following your technique. Keep it up mate, brilliant stuff
Hey Pete, that’s awesome. I wanted to share my story… A few years ago I took a miss step in my boat and suddenly fell out. It didn’t go as I thought it would and I soon got separated from the boat. As I got swept in the current I signalled to other boats… no one saw or heard me!!! The only reason I’m here is I actually found something floating in the water to hang on to. I made it though a bit of shark water and got to the beach at Moreton. It changed my life and now I always a jacket when on my own. When I saw your miss step I felt I needed to share. Kind regards Scott
Cheers mate. I always have my electric remote around my neck and the motor deployed when not sitting down driving/sounding. Which means if I go in, I can drive the boat back to me pretty quickly.
Awesome session mate, great video! Thanks for sharing the tips too, I'm sure a lot of people will find them helpful including myself! Keep them coming Peter. Cheers
@@Peter_Herbst_Fishing Mate watching someone do it on RUclips and then actually going out and learning to do it yourself are two totally different things! Jewwies are never easy to just go out and catch until you’re very good at it, and even then it isn’t a guarantee! So you’re fine 😁👍 Yeah I definitely want to start using plastics for them more, it’s definitely fun! I don’t have an electric motor which makes it harder but definitely still doable. Those molix fork flex seem to be perfect for the Jewwies! 👌
Wow…..I fish down there a lot but I chase the thing you hate… flatties lol. Always knew there were jews where u fished but never really tried. I wanna go try it now…love the jumping set hook action lol. Again awesome vid mate! Keep them coming! 👌
I only hate em cause they hate me haha. Always spiking me and generally hard to handle. Such good eating them flatfish! Cheers for the positive feedback man. Let me know how I can improve!
Would love to see you do that at the Port of Brisbane and Gold Coast seaway. You can leave the little fish to us crappy fishos…keep nailing the big ones lol how bout threadies??? That’ll be an awesome vid!!
@@sonniesfishingadventures port Jew is my speciality. Had few double figure sessions there. Probably catch as many threadies as Jew but haven’t filmed for public as yet. Haven’t been seaway for years but keen for a look. Mostly cause locals say live bait only and want to test that theory.
Found that ledge on one of my first trips there, lost a really good fish on a samaki vibe there I was convinced it was a Jew because of the drop off, depth and structure. Do you apply scents to your lures? Also you can never have too many tvs in your house or your boat.👌 awesome vid took a lot out of it.
@@josephsimmons1703 I prefer a baitcast set up myself. 10-20lb or heavier, 7ft plus. I’ll have different set ups for different weight lures. Always try and fish as I can as you loose less fish.
@@Peter_Herbst_Fishing thanks man. Really appreciate it. Your videos help me out alot. I think you said the heavier the better as you lose less fish? I’ll take any help I can get, but you’re by far my favourite fisho 🤙
