I’m so with you man. To take it a step further, I’d even prefer hearing nothing and then getting an announcement a week before it drops. I assume it’s corporate and they have a “marketing strategy” but I’ve yet to see one pay off. It’s always delayed and it’s never what they promised 4 years prior when they reveal trailer came out at E3. We’d rather know nothing and be told about something that’s right around the corner instead of this absurd years long build up campaign

It's the old school model: good, finished product for cold, hard cash. It looks like they will be reusing some assets , but Im perfect fine with that in the case of KCD. The product is faaar from redundant. In the case of KCD Im excited for "more of the same".

Daniel Vávra is a visionalist. He lost the 'race' with Rockstar's GTA3 when he was directing development of original old Mafia 1 and he is very charismatic and goal-seeking person, even if some of his views and ways of presenting himself might strike weird. It is such a great time for video games right now. We've seen small developers create awesome games like Lethal Company and Helldivers 2 and we Medieval fans get Manor Lords in a few days and then as the cherry on the cake KCD 2 at the end of the year
Games today only care about one thing fast paced dopamine hits. KDC is one of those rare gems where you actually stop and smell the roses (or pick up 100 of them for that extra strength point).
The first game was incredible for many, many reasons but what really set it apart was the incredibly emotional story. I love that henry always thought of his loved ones, even though they're gone. The scenes at the end were so emotional. Beautiful game.
Well with "limited ressources" for the first game, as the creative director says in the video, they managed to create my favourite open world RPG of all time. A game which is a good middle ground between complex and fun mechanics, full of good gameplay ideas a big studio wouldn't have the balls to try out of fear of not touching a wide enough public, a game which actually trusts the player to be clever enough to solve things out on his own, I haven't had this feeling of unexpected and actually going on an adventure in another open world RPG since 2018. Really happy for these guys, especially since they can show the world their country's history, which is not widely known. As a french guy, I'm happy to learn more about Bohemia and I trust this game will be excellent.
Yeah honestly it’s good too hear some developers can be realistic with their limitations AND be right that the proof of concept worked. Really looking forward to seeing what they’ve done!
@@GoldGune Exactly, while the technical side had some (understandable) issues considering the small team working on it, the game design/artistic direction/writing were mostly spot on for me, and those don't require huge teams, just good ideas.

Seeing Henry again feels like seeing an old friend. I can't wait. KCD had so much going for it: great RPG elements, great combat, gorgeous environments. Warhorse deserved their flowers. KCD2 will be a game of the year contender if they bring the same great foundations with some more money and polish. I still can't get over the sword play being so good. The realism and depth puts other RPGs to shame. I really hope there's a series of challenging 1v1 duels you can participate in around the map. I'd like to see more duels in the wild, like optional boss fights you could seek out for coin or reputation, or maybe multiple city tournaments like the Rattay tourney.

Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor, had a long and successful reign. The Empire he ruled from Prague expanded, and his subjects lived in peace and prosperity. When he died, the whole Empire mourned. More than 7,000 people accompanied him on his last procession. The heir to the throne of the flourishing Empire was Charles' son, Wenceslas IV, whose father had prepared him for this moment all his life. But Wenceslas did not take after his father. He neglected affairs of state for more frivolous pursuits. He even failed to turn up for his own coronation as Emperor, which did little to endear him to the Pope. Wenceslas "the Idle" did not impress the Imperial nobility either. His difficulties mounted until the nobles, exasperated by the inaction of their ruler, turned for help to his half-brother, King Sigismund of Hungary. Sigismund decided on a radical solution. He kidnapped the King to force him to abdicate, then took advantage of the ensuing disorder to gain greater power for himself. He invaded Bohemia with a massive army and began pillaging the territories of the King's allies. It is here that my story begins...
I'm so glad they made the creative decision to not make medieval Europe gloomy, depressing, and barren like a lot of Hollywood shows and movies like to do. This is EXACTLY what every publishers should do. Wait for the game to be 100% ready for launch, and THEN announce it. Props to you guys !
this...not just empty promises like cyberpunk
@tomasistok7229 well, at least they never gave up on it, but yea wow, was that a disastrous launch
Maybe not 100%, all these projects have a lot of bugs in release, which will be fixed in moths and years
yeah; but lots of publishers do not want to wait 6 years for a game. so they push them to make them in 2 years LOL . then support it for 4.

To be honest they didn't even needed to improve the graphics because the old didnt even run in modern systems, i am glad they are working on gameplay and not the graphical aspect like other companies are doing......Lets hope this time we wont need a supercomputer to play this and there will be larger battles which was lacking in the previous game.....

It’s my favorite rpg as well. The attention to detail and realism are unparalleled. Skyrim has more replayability but KCD makes you appreciate every step of the journey much more
What a refreshingly classy presentation. It seems like too often that industry folks are trying to be overly relatable and undercut the weight of their event. But at risk of being cringy, these folks made it clear how special this game is to them. Much respect.
OMG, right? This announcement video is the best one I’ve seen in ages!
Yeah I feel like "come on, there was no need to do all this for me"
I don't care about the new GTA, COD and other "AAA shit", but Kingdom come 2! I'm so hyped!!! I can't wait!
Well GTA will be as always first 2 years a Console exclusive. So PC only Gamers are out for other games.
Manor Lords is coming out this month and KCD2 this year. History buffs are eating good this year. Oh and one more thing, TAKE YOUR TIME!
What's even better is how much the AAA industry is eating ass. Trillion dollar market caps can't touch the studios who actually care about their craft.
We're heading for an industry crash unlike seen since the 80's and I'm all in for it when I have these sorts of games to play.
The world is healing.
@@andypae Hope this proves that throwing money at stuff doesn't automatically make it better. I love the passion projects smaller devs release.
@@andypae Amen, brother.
They don’t need to, they’ve made the game and giving themselves the rest of the year to finish it up 😂
@@andypae Lol what are you talking about, BG3 is receiving rave reviews and massive sales and Larian is bigger than Bethesda is and dropped enough money on BG3 to make it like top 10 most expensive games, It's a AAA studio and a AAA game by literally any definition. Not to mention Elden Ring Other AAA studios are eating big on microtransactions and cash shop purchases. Warhorse itself is scarely a cute little indie studio either. It's naive af to think that just because a studio is small they "care" and because they're big they can't, that's how you get taken for a ride. There will be no crash, nothing has changed. Games fail, games succeed, just don't fool yourself into thinking your defending a little mom and pop shop lmao
Kingdom Come Deliverance wasn't just a game for me - it was an experience. I loved it so much that I vacationed in the Czech Republic right after playing it and I felt like a child coming to Disney World for the first time. I am screaming with hype for this sequel!!!
Ooooh that is cool.... My wife wants to take me to Eastern Europe (I've never been, she has) and it would be pretty sweet to play this first.
It was the same for me!! I am beyond hyped! This is gonna be AWESOME!!!
@@JacopoSkydweller You won't find the Czech Republic in Eastern Europe
Why the Disney comparison? Czechia is so much more profound and rich. Glad you enjoyed your trip though.

Rest in peace Tor, I hope your memory can be savoured well when your nephew plays KCD2!
If more people valued quality, above gold, this world would be a merrier place. Thank you Warhorse, thank you.
@@peebrayen6564 You have never met anyone who lived under socialism if you think capitalism is why corners get cut lol.
Legends say you can make quality product and make a lot of money at the same time. You just need do your job correctly.

Im ready to see more of the friendship between henry and hans. One of the most natural and realistic friendships in a game
I hope they expand on alot of the old characters honestly
I'm so sorry...

I'm beyond excited for this, I have hundreds of hours in the first KCD game its such a gem. Also this possibly the best game reveal and presentation I've seen in 25+ years of gaming, vey well done Warhorse!
Revealed and released on the same year. Absolutely epic.
This was the only thing I ever kickstarted, I'll never regret it. I remember being happy even when it was a technical demo. This is a company I will always have faith in, based on their creation and follow-through.
thank you so much
Seriously though! They made an absolutely spectacular game with barely any of the resources they have now. KCD will always be my favourite game of all time so I can't even comprehend how good KCD 2 is going to be!
KCD deserves all the praises they get I hope this game lives up to the old one and outshines it.

Man I really hope they don't get forced to release early / broken for autumn season to make investors happy, since they are not independent anymore and Embracer is known to fire staff if something doesn't work right away. Warhorse is really going all-in with this. May the power of Christ protect this project at all costs.
Ah so they aren't fully independent... got it.
Anyways its still so much better than them being a giant company like ... bethesda
It’s a modern game. Of course it will be shit on launch purely due to the greed of investors
thank god its not a big corporate company creating it. i have faith.
@@DBigRedMan But they have investors and publishers that want their money quick. It’s always the same story
It will be broken regardless of release date. The first game was so broken I rage quit every single battle.
I have seen this game reveal about twenty Times now and i still crack up at that Moment where Tom mcCay looks directly in the camera and with the lightning in his face and the music swelling to the climax says those magical words :" But now we can finally Show you Kingdom Come: Deliverance two!" and how he swallows the Emotion and genuine Joy right after that and the happy smile on his face gets me every time! Great Job and best wishes to the entire Team!
As a crowdfunder of KCD1... the announcement of the sequel yesterday near brought tears to my eyes. I am so excited for this and I am on pins and needles waiting on its release! Thank you Warhorse for being a studio who creates their game and then announces it within the same calendar year of release!
Thank you for funding the best game in the world.
I didn't BUT I bought the game and all the DLC's for the full price... If that counts.
Same here: perfect reveal. Never realized I missed Henry and his adventures this much!

Never forget the purpose of this industry is and always will be profit
@@seedee3d What do you mean? I support good developers, these guys have done right by their fans so far
That said, I am vehemently against bad business practices and pre-ordering is chief among them. That's a modern industry standard that serves no purpose and needs to be eradicated. But this trailer doesn't seem to be pushing for pre-orders either
@@seedee3d Their previous game was sold at a really cheap price that's too low for the content inside, and imo it's better and more immersive than RDR2 (Just my Opinion, I'm not hating on it, I've played RDR2 and I loved it too). And guess what? They had less than a hundred people working on the game with tight budget! Now imagine this studio with proper funding and a large team...
Eitherway people are free to get excited for a different thing. Suppose you expect have one exciting day tomorrow and you're waiting for it, but how many days have it been since the last time you actually had some real joy?

There are no black people. This game is politically incorrect so IGN and Sweet baby will be mad about that.

From someone who hardly games anymore (work, lot of responsibilities, other hobbies, health priorities) I've only ever heard of the Kingdom Come series from my brother who is an avid gamer. Randomly happened upon this video today and just wanted to say the song 11:27 - 13:13 singlehandedly convinced me to buy KCD so I can play through it on my own time and then buy KCD2 afterwards. I know fidelity of graphics, robust story, and gameplay/level of immersion is important in a great game, but to me a rich soundtrack can really elevate a great game to an incredible one.... and if this one song giving me hardcore goosebumps is an indication of what's in store, then I can't wait.... beautiful work, thanks guys.

You know your game is special when everyone wants to relive or re-experience what it was like being a bloody nobody during medieval Bohemia. Where a single trebuchet was this epic thing of war engineering that felt cool to witness instead of something you poop out 25 of to take a nondescript city in any strategy game.
right, and all the running around you had to do to even help get the dang thing built
@@sharptakes1662 Honestly I'm glad the game stuck to its realism instead of continuing the hype train that is the final act. Running around to find the guy to help build the trebuchet then waiting in game days was cool.
Yeah, but a very lucky nobody who gets to experience all the exciting events and can't really die permanently
@@kj34sdf4 Well, that's the limits of video game realism. Unless you tout the game to be hard-core realism, having you redo everything if you die once makes for a pretty crap RPG game.
Well for me it was a classic RPG. And it was also so refreshing that it wasn't woke.

I'm so glad they made the creative decision to not make medieval Europe gloomy, depressing, and barren like a lot of Hollywood shows and movies like to do. Warhorse chooses instead to show us how beautiful their homes looked to medieval Europeans themselves, and I'm here for it.
Between all the flops this last year, and just this week hearing about the massive layoffs at Take Two while they gave their CEO and president both huge bonuses last year. It's nice to see games like KCD 2 and Manor Lords coming out to show us gaming hasn't gone off the rails entirely.
