@@AMPROEngineering I'm pretty sure those lenses are scale replicas of the real ones. It's nuts. Too expensive for me atm, but wouldn't mind one eventually. Found the beetle you mentioned, hadn't seen it before. Promptly sent the link to my brother in law, since he's a huge vw beetle (and Porsche) fan. 🙂
I saw another channel which mentioned a driver that the head turns (never saw that they actually did that). Considering the high level of detail you put in your accessories, I would love to see you try that. Re. what time you put out your videos I couldn't care less. I watch them as soon as I see them. Not everyone is on the exact same time schedule. Keep doing what you do. I look forward to every one.
LOL yeah I put these out when I finish them...that means it was at midnight, haha! Like you said, everyone is at different schedules. I love the idea of a driver whose head moves too! That would be icing!
@AMPRO Engineering I will be holding my breath (figuratively). Again, I think that yours is one of the few channels I can say I like EVERY one of your clips, keep it up!
@@edwardbroyles9738 Well thank you. I try and make useful content that requires attention. I think many are so used to quick cuts and loud noises that we need to take a step back and be calm a bit too.
@AMPRO Engineering I don't claim to have coined this term but I call that attitude our fast food mentality in this country. Most people need the next fix of shock and awe. Over the years, our collective attention spans have gotten shorter and shorter. As in SQUIRREL!!!! I enjoy having to think a little.
I'm on the same boat as you, and a few others as I've read in the comments, about military vehicles. But I absolutely appreciate (up to a point of enjoying every video I can get my hands on of this model), all the scale details. There's simply nothing to point out that you wish for it had, to make it more scale. I am not confident I'll buy one except for a crazy sale, but I really wish they keep making these scale models. I think my FMS Jimny is one of -if not the one- my favorite rigs of the year, even though I can only enjoy it on big smooth rocks (and there it's surprising how well it performs, btw).
$250 on Amazon right now! Pretty darn good price for what you get! Thinking about pulling the trigger on this, it's just too damn cool! Oh yea I also need the 1/6 Willys. Sigh!
I had very similar reactions when I first saw this thing. It is mind blowing and amazing with all the details. My best guess is they did the military car to avoid licensing issues. A couple additional cool features: 1) rear end lifts on acceleration at 15:07. This is accurate with full scale cars which had the reduction gearboxes! 2) it looks like they left a plug in engine allowing you to potentially install dual motors. Lastly, the price is on point considering static 1/12 models that come assembled easily go for $300 alone with arguably fewer details. With this in mind, you are essentially getting all the mechanical functions and radio/electronics for free.
@@AMPROEngineering do you know where to get spear parts for the Willys mb Jeep when 1/12 scale rock hobby My control board where the better connects and the lights on everything it's broken

Great indepth video, glad I found your channel. I search for your reviews on models that I'm interested in ! In regards to Rochobby/FMS, they certainly have upped the bar for scale vehicles, but they were preceded by HengGuan toys and their line of military RC models. The Hg p801/802 oshkosh HEMTT, Hg p408 humvee and especially the HG P602 MRAP have so many features - working door latches, metal drive train, smoke, lights, working engine fan, 2 speed transmission, the foam box packaging and so many more scale features at a much more competitive price. They offer more bang for the buck in my opinion, but I'm very happy FMS exists and they make the models they do (I own several of them).
Glad you liked it! Yes, they really have stepped up their game! The HengGuan models are amazing too! I do not own any as they are not the genre I am into but I cannot get over the quality and care put into these cars.
Wow thats awesome! I watched other videos on this and they never said anything about 2 and 4wd options and they all said it only had a 2 speed. I am now far more interested in this vehicle!
I messaged RocHobby regarding this vehicle; trying to see if they had plans to make a 1/6 of this Kubelwagen & their Commander Car (the VW) and they said both are currently in the works!
I was thinking the same thing when I saw this review. The 1/6 Willy's Jeep is so cool and quite capable due to it's size and clearance. We need one of these in the same scale with a 540/550 can motor and proper 2s/3s battery compartment.
That thing is just mind blowing! Can you do an episode partially disassembling it? I really want to see what the drivetrain and stuff looks like on the inside
@@AMPROEngineering I should have been more specific sorry 😅. Not a full disassembly but I just want to see under the body. I looked all over RUclips and can't find anybody that has done a disassembly video. You would be the first
That is impressive, I looked at the price in the early stage of the video and initially dismissed it, but watching the video unfold I changed my mind. 🙂
Very cool! I am not a fan of miltaria at all either, and the Thing would certainly make a nice model too, but mind you: if they would be staying faithful to the original, it would be RWD only. Cheers - fingers crossed my Kommandeurwagen will be delivered soon! 😊
Hahah! Well it isn't that I don't like it, it is more that it is ancient and Tamiya still thinks its relevant. It is really one of the first trail trucks but for some reason, Tamiya never made any rev's to it. I think i should do a guide on it!
@@AMPROEngineering I’ve been looking for a cool truck that seems a little bit scale that I would feel comfortable taken to the beach. I wouldn’t want to take a trx4 or a scx10 because they are very expensive to me
