    Beautiful work. I recently acquired a 1/24 scale Type 82 Kűbelwagen kit by Hasegawa. I will employ your techniques in my build. Thank you for sharing your amazing skill set. Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦.

    Outstanding work and finishing. I am a big fan of the "work horse" of the German army & Luftwaffe. May I make one comment that has nothing to do with your techniques? That metal shroud that is located in the back was designed to recirculate hot air from the engine; they would not have it installed in warmer climates such as Africa. So you could have left that part off and it would not detract from the overall finish of your Kubelwagen. I know that Tamiya does not address this in the instructions. Many model builders install it just because it's shown in the instructions but then their Kubelwagen becomes part of a desert diorama.

      What "metal shroud" are you referring to? You don't mean the tarpaulin cover and its fold down frame do you? I have numerous pix of those covers on Kubelwagens in Africa and Sicily, so I am curious which part you mean...please advise.

    Excellent work, the model looks very realistic, the painting and weathering process itself looks very technologically advanced, and this is achieved only by constant work, on this difficult path of the modeler. Congratulations.

      @@Scalecat171 sorry, but what glue are you using to glue painted parts together? Or are you removing the paint from the joints before glueing them together?

    • @Scalecat171
      @Scalecat171  3 года назад +1

      Depend on situation. I can use regular cement if I can easily remove paint. In case when I can’t or I’m afraid of damage other surfaces with cement I’m using or CA like for wheels in this video or pva or ultra glue from ammo, usually for some interior and clear parts

    Great Kübelwagen! Excellent finish. Looks ultra-realistic. Your build reminded me of a Kübelwagen in 1:72, which I made for a small "Monuments Men"-Diorama a few years ago. It was fun, but also fiddly. Cheers!
