Hi everyone, I am tackling my foyer today with a stair makeover on a budget. It all cost less than $100 to totally transform the stairs. I learned to strip the finish off the stairs, sand them down and restain & paint everything for an updated look. I am a busy stay at home working mama of three kids. It is time to tackle the MESS! I hope this video gives you some motivation to check the items on your TO DO list off. I picked out some amazing cleaning motivation music to get you up and on your feet ! Jessie, we all understand why you were MIA for a while now. You should be so proud of the beautiful job that you did. What a transformation. I have redone stairs before and it is no easy job. It really does look beautiful! I have to say, when you were talking about all the things you tried and your frustration I felt it in the pit of my stomach. I remember doing projects in my house and just crying with frustration and fatigue. So, for what it's worth from a random stranger on the internet, I'm proud of you!
Sometimes your original vision just doesn't happen. It stinks but yeah the journey to get to the end can be so frustrating!

When you mentioned a couple weeks ago you had been working on your stairs, I couldn't help but worry about you. You are one very determined woman. Lol. Heck I'm impressed you didn't tape off everything! I'll tell you in all honesty, if your stairs were a dragon, you slayed it. Lol. I love it!!! It all looks amazing and it's going to look great all decorated for Christmas.!!

Amazing! And with a toddler!! Major respect. I don't know know what part of the USA you call home but in metro Atlanta GA painting/staining a staircase is around $2000 plus paint and stain - unless you are ok with watery builders grade products. (One color is a bit more affordable, they do not have to be as careful.) Your video popped up in my RUclips feed this morning. New Subscriber. Beautiful work indeed!
I am in Maryland! Thank you! I want to add a pretty carpet runner down the middle because the black is rubbing in the middle on some steps already but overall I'm happy with how it turned out.

Girl I was just thinking about you the other day and was going to send you a message on IG where you were. The transformation on the stairs is gorgeous! We did a makeover on our staircase this last spring. It was a lot of work but we'll worth it. We do plan to do wood flooring on the stairs as right now it's carpet. But wow what a transition. I love the black and white, very classic.

I could never envision that - I just don't have that talent, but I know you do and you were spot on. That's exactly what those stairs needed. And the door is so much more eye catching. I love it! It looks so clean and crisp! And it LOOKS like it took you days and days. So much work! And with a toddler. I don’t know how you do it. But I agree that it was so worth it! It makes a huge huge difference. I would be so sore and messed up for days if I tried something like that. You’re such a hard working woman. Your family if so blessed to have you.
