Looks good but when using your table saw the blade should only be just above the wood about a 1/2". Having that much blade above your wood is a disaster waiting to happen. You want to keep all your digits!
If there isn’t any humidity control in the house, any hardwood species can fail, but there are few hardwood species perform better than others. One of the best is walnut, but expensive.Engineered hardwood also the option, thin wood layer on top.I would say go with engineered teakwood, because might you can get cheaper in India than over here in Canada.Teak is also expensive.Try engineered flooring, but if humidity control isn’t present, you’ll face problems later on.India and other countries in Asia has problems also with ants 🐜,choose your floor coverings wisely my friend 👍
Not using a wacuum is just plain lazy. Cleanup is much easier and reduces the fine particles from making their way into the hvac. Do you not value the air you breathe. You may revisit this comment in 20 years if your health is compromised.
Leaning low???That must be an old staircase.Maybe you can put shims on the right side, level it up every each of stair treads.Put a lots of glue and if you do it good, nobody going to notice.Try to drive long 3 inch screws into the stringer on the right side to make the base stronger before you install the new stair treads.I hope it helps 👍
Sound like one side of the staircase stringer (structural component) may not be properly supported from below .. needs to be a solid load path to the foundation.. Have a competent framer or engineer design a fix for this first, if that is the problem, before refinishing your staircase. Sorry if this is too late - if so, you should still be able to stabilize/fix the structure at least, though if you try to level it at-the-same-time, it may damage your finish work.
great work, I'm completing similar. So a great help.. meanwhile keep that blade down ok
We love our staircase and the hardwood in the hallway! Thanks Laszlo for your awesome work ! Would highly recommend Excellence Hardwood Flooring!
Thank You Cristen!I’m happy if You are happy with our work 😊
Great video! Followed it to a “T” my stairs turned out amazing. Cardboard spacers is a must for the tight fit. Keep the videos coming.
Thank You for the nice comment!!!👍
Excellant and much needed !
Very good. Beautiful
Thanks for the good explanation.
doing similar project now, covered stringer with 1/8 oak plywood, surprised you didnt do the same, stringer next to wall
Beautifully done....!
Thank You very much!!!👍
I love this!!!
Thanks for video. why keeping your table saw blade so high?
Great work!
Thank You very much!I appreciate you commented 😊
They look really really nice,so for the raiser you use oak playwood....and for the steps same material???
👍
you should try raising up the blade just past the thickness of your material will bind up less and could save your life
Damn bro. You do a good job. I was thinking of replacing my stairs from carpet to hardwood myself but now I don’t know ? Any tips ? Be my first time

Square lip red oak stair treads, one side open.Thank You for the compliment!!!👌
Great job on the stairs

What size nails are you using to secure the steps and risers?
2 inches
Looks good. Not an easy staircase by any means. I even learned a few things. Thanks
Thank You for your comment!!!I appreciate it!
I live in a coastal region in India.
There is very high humidity and a little heat.
What hardwood type will you recommend ?

would you come to St Louis?
Haha 😂,you are the second one this week who’s asking. What’s going on? 🤗
Did you meant to Missouri???
Where do you get your treads and risers?
There is a supplier in North York. They are Chinese, very experienced guys,I never changed them in the last 12 years
Nice, also interested in knowing the supplier
@@ExcellenceHardwoodFlooring what is the name of supplier?
@@JOIHIINI I purchase my treads from local suppliers, not always the same.Any stair supplier has similar in GTA,just have to find the good quality
Where did you source the stairs with return?
You can find sources all over in the GTA,Steeles & Weston area has a bunch of places
Wow why You don't clean up the ground before glue??????
Of course we do…Otherwise won’t stick
That did not look like enough glue
