Yes definitely. I've made several of his recipes. My favorite so far is the Cajun chicken and sausage pasta. I make it twice a month. But I use boneless skinless thighs though.

This is actually very similar to a recipe I learned from one of my ex-girlfriends; just a few key differences. First, hers used frozen shredded hash browns instead of tater tots. Second, it was always three cheeses rather than just two; extra sharp cheddar, mozzarella, and provolone. Third, hers was layered rather than mixed (a hash brown layer, a layer of cheese A, a layer of sausage, a layer of cheese B, a layer of veggies, a layer of cheese C, and repeat ending with a thick layer of all three cheeses mixed together on top) so the different flavor profiles of the various ingredients were more easily detectable. Fourth and finally, she never put egg into hers. Since I learned it from her, I've gone on to make it for myself quite a few times. When it's just for me, I tend to use a mix of chopped serrano and habanero peppers for the veggie layer, and would add in a mushroom layer as well as a fourth cheese (Havarti). I've never included onion in any form because, as much as I love the taste of onion, I like breathing more (I have an allergy to onion that causes me to have a severe anaphylactic reaction to even just one small piece of onion). I think I'll keep using the hash browns and layering technique as I learned from her, but I will definitely be trying it with the addition of the egg as you did here, so you may very well have helped me improve an already amazing recipe. Thanks!

Looks a little dry. Some sour cream in the mix will both moisten and bind the casserole better. Sauteing the onions will improve things. Button mushrooms and sliced black olives would be smack! Mix in some cherry tomatoes, cherry peppers and croutons, top with chopped scallions and a sprinkle of smoked paprika, and you've got a meal to make Sip and Feast jealous. Oh yeah, that bell pepper, too😊.
Yeah, ONLY if all of those ingredients are grown organically, like I do in my backyard, using tips and methods from the book 'All My Secrets of Organic and Container Gardening So Far.' Otherwise,you are eating a heaping spoonful of insecticide with each bite.

I made this for my girlfriend's birthday, and she absolutely loved it!! I did decide to add half of a bell pepper, and I used turkey Italian sausage since I don't eat pork.

This meal would be great for a Christmas breakfast along side some homemade cinnamon rolls. As a mother of four, we all take a day and cook for the rest of the family. I encourage all of them to try out new recipes so that we aren't getting bored eating the same foods all the time. Hey, I made this for dinner. I halved the recipe and added a bell pepper. Turned out great and my whole family liked it!
I’ll be making this this for breakfast on Sunday, I’ll make 2 versions, 1 for me with bell peppers, onions and some diced up bacon mixed in with spicy chorizo and another one for my wife and daughter using pork sausage and no onion or pepper ( wifey likes it plain), it’s only Tuesday but now I’ve got something to look forward to!

Hey S&G guy. Cooking is not my express, I cook to eat, however, when I was stuck in the house and low on groceries. I had 3 eggs and borrowed 2 from my neighbor, bag of tots, spinach. Chicken strips, 3trinities pepper and onions. Cheese in the freezer and pepperoni, no milk but butter milk and almond milk. When I say you and the Holy Spirit said to watch, you helped me understand how to make this work and my husband was patting me on the back. Job well done! Blessings! Thank you. Tina

This was awesome! I made this but prepared it differently. I used ground beef, cooked it in some onions with a bit of oil and seasoned it with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. I drained it out before assembling and it truly came out FIRE! A tater tot lasagne! So moist, cheesy, and delicious! I wish I could post a picture of it here!

Now I'm gonna blow a few minds here...I mean no disrespect to author(we're all cooks here) DON'T put seasonings in egg milk mixture .. add it as you brown your meat In LARGE DEEP skillet. mix your eggs separately first..then add milk.. ..it's just easier to mix that way(less messy..better blend) THEN add milk egg mix to pan and cook till it's all same temp and THEN pour into the casserole dish. .. add your tots on top if you want them crispy on top of layer of cheese.. for extra wow factor ...put a layer of partially cooked biscuits on bottom of dish.. garnish your top with fresh chopped parsley after cooking for presentation. Thank you sir for the base recipe. 😊

Oh, yah! That looks SO GOOD!! I'm glad you mentioned bell peppers a couple of times, that sounds like an excellent addition. I was also thinking about a can of diced fire roasted tomatoes that I have hanging out on my pantry shelf that might be tasty added to this as well. Or leave them out and garnish with salsa at serving time. I think this would be a satisfying breakfast-for-dinner option, too. Even the mimosa sounds fantastic, too.
