Iam a medical student mom of two (3 and 5 years old) your videos makes me able to skip classes and see your videos instead since they save me so much time ( so i can spend more time with my babies) and I pass all my exams. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have the nobel prize from me for sure. Hugs from Sweden🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I passed my Nclx 75 question last year because I watched most of your video that helped me understand the patho. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏 you are amazingly nice. Thank you for your genuine generosity ❤
hallo! I am medical student from university of Rwanda and I've been using your RUclips lectures and your teaching methodology has proven to be impactful and to day in class i see everything fall within my depth knowledge, we appreciate your effort in building capable medical doctors sir, your lectures are special not average run-of-the mill
I went through it all: acites/drained up to 7.5 Litres every 3 weeks for about 6 months before having the TIPS procedure a year ago; Umbilical Hernia/surgery fixed that 6 months ago; Hepatic Encephalopathy/ keeping that under control with Xifaxan and Lactulose: Esophageal Varies/relieved by getting the portal vein shunt (TIPS); and my ataxia and neuropathy is much better. I'm on as few meds as possible and only eat good food. I sleep well and greet each day as a gift from God. I'm sober over a year after 35 years of heavy daily drinking. Not quite sure how I made it through the confusion and pain, yet here I am: on the transplant list but in pretty good shape considering. THANK YOU for this series of lectures. You seem really cool 😎 Keep up the good work 👏
You are one of the best teachers i have studied in my life thanks for providing this much knowledge in very understandable way and that also for free .. Love you a lot God bless you ❤️
I am not a Doctor, but I recently had very high LFT results and was looking to understand the results (unfortunately my doctor didn't explain anything to me). Your videos are exceptional. I learned so much and it greatly helped me understand the results. I am now going back to my doctor with some idea of what he needs to look at. I have leant more from just 2 of your videos than dozens and dozens of other videos combined. Thank you so much for your highly detailed and clear explanations of the liver and its functions.
Appearing for final yr practical exam next week.... Still remember from first yr 2020 when started to learn from u from endocrine playlist for physiology....thank u sir...it was a great journey and looking forward to learn from u in the future also...❤❤
Thanky you so so much for this (and for every) lecture :) I am not a med student, I am just curious about anatomy, physioligy and pathophys and I still find it hard to believe that nowadays it is possible to witness all this wonderful medical content. Ninja nerds is Legend!💯👍🤙
Thanks again for another great and helpfull video, I'm a huge fan. I couldn't have passed the first semesters of medical school without your help, so I'm very grateful for your most recent clinical videos to help me on the new stage of the career.
Thank you for your wonderful lectures Prof, I’m a big fan and will always be. I have a question, how are we using spironolactone when part of the complications of cirrhosis is gynecomastia? Should it not be contraindicated sir?
Could you comment on any of the nutrition implications of cirrhosis? You mentioned low sodium for acites but what about risk of hypoglycaemia and muscle catabolism due to decrease in glycogen made /stored in the liver? How do we treat this and what are the pathways? What are the other decline in liver functions that we might need to address?
I'm watching this in hopes of convincing myself to stop drinking too much. I know I drink too much, like everyday, and I know the affects but can't seem to stop. I never drank like this until a few years ago. Now I can't seem to stop and get antsy
You can stop drinking like that, give your heart to Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, after take a three days dry fasting, you will not die. During the dry fast drink alot of water to keep you hydrated.
Do you have a video about liver cancer. I have cirrhosis not candidate for transplant due to having Crohn's disease. I have stage 3 Kidney disease and autoimmune hepatitis. I have had liver ultrasound every 6 months for 3 years. I had an MRI last week and liver is developing cancer. So getting MRI every 3 months. If you have a video on this please let me know. Thank you.
im guessing anyone correct me if I'm wrong but I am thinking extra fluid accumulation leads to low Na sodium concentration normal sodium level is about 135 to 145 mg/DL i think so more fluid equals dilution maybe idk?
The really sad thing is my father's been to multiple Hematologists, Hepatologist, etc and none of them have done ANYTHING to help slow the progression of his liver destruction from a slow growing Pancreatic Cancer liver metastasis. Typical "he's got pancreatic cancer, I ain't wasting time on this, put him on hospice" bullshit, but want to use that "make sure he's comfortable".. Yeah, easy to be real comfortable when you're getting constant infections, constant abdominal pain, and now hepatic encephalopathy, then wanna sit there and say "Are you too overwhelmed to be his caregiver?" No, I'm too overwhelmed being his caregiver, and second guessing these professionals slacking off on everything, and begging and pleading hospice to provide some medications that are deemed "too expensive", to help him atleast be able to mentally function on his remaining month or 2.

You can stop only by talking with yourself and imagine that alcohol is like urine or stool
