Love the clear explanation as always! Questions: 1. Is there a diagnostic test to determine the type of gallstone someone has? 2. For females, could elevated estrogen levels be a risk factor for gallstones? 3. Is sonic therapy real to crush gallstones? 4. Do apples help in softening gallstones to help them pass? Thanks so much!
Great questions! I guess type of gallstone is less important to determine than location, size and effect on the body. If gallstones (or even whole gallbladder) are surgically removed I guess the type is determined by the colour (yellow/black/brown).I don't think an ultrasound gives colour images. Sonic therapy to crush gallstones into tiny particles would be fantastic, I need to look into that. More info on foods/drinks to dissolve existing gallstones would be useful, but wasn't mentioned in this video. I guess that drinking plenty of water between meals is an effective way of reducing the build-up of gallstones in the first place. I've not heard of the apples solution.
I have the pain. I have the swollen liver that forcefully drains and enters intestines and stomach. My gall bladder was removed because of it being solid scar tissue from food poisoning at age 5 (not the duct to help prevent dumping syndrome. I am Ana positive ( nuclear homogeneous), not ama+, normal phosphate and normal bilirubin. Crazy high absolute neutrophils (8844, it mentions it too high and indicates sepsis….fun) I’m being tested for pic, but negative ama normal alkaline phosphate and normal bilirubin. It’s been going on for 10+ years. I was even sent to oncologist/hematologist to see why wire cells so elevated. They couldn’t find a cause. I believe the duct that was left has scarred over and it has even closed over and bled and was extremely painful when it Burt open and shot into stomach and intestines. Food passes through very fast, loads of goldenrod colored feces, frequent vomiting bile. I’ve been saying it for over a decade. Doctor ignored me for the whole time. I’ve been sent to a liver specialist now that I switched doctors. She’s testing for PBC as I have most symptoms. I do have multiple autoimmune diseases including RA, psoriasis, fibromyalgia, reynauds, miofacia pain syndrome,. I only run sporadic low grade fevers. I’ve had numerous bouts of pancreatitis. I often don’t have enough enzymes to digest food. I do not have jaundice. . For over a decade! I’m getting sicker and sicker. I’m so tired. What is going on!
I was born without a gallbladder. They said I had a collapsed gallbladder with multiple gallstones. They were going to take it out through the belly button. When they got in there, there was no gallbladder, I looked everywhere, no gallbladder. They filed the surgery and I had to sign papers to be shown in teaching. The doctor said he will probably never see another case. What I’m wondering since there is no bile duct for the bile to come from liver, how does your body break down fats and other things in your digestion system?
Absolutely! We corrected some known errors and misinformation in some of the older lectures. We have also updated our style to include more information with a shorter video duration. We hope you are enjoying them!
