Osmosis Just what I wanted to ask
Just wonderful, I been tryin to find out about "mild fatty liver" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Bachalaswin Better Body Rule - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my mate got excellent success with it.
Winner of a video, I've been looking for "liver test results" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Bachalaswin Better Body Rule - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my co-worker got great results with it.
Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about "diffuse fatty liver" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Bachalaswin Better Body Rule - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my brother in law got amazing success with it.
Thank you for the amazing work!
My brother has cirrhosis. ....the doctor said liver transplant needed. .please pray from him to recovery. .thank u doctor. Very informative. .
May i ask how old he is?
Can I know where your brother is getting treatment?..Anywaz I pray for his recovery
Is the mofo still alive?
They don’t do a liver transplant if you’re an alcoholic, and haven’t abstain for at least two years
god bless him
I was diagnosed with cirrhosis based on Fibroscan requested by my gastroenterologist and on december 2021 my score was 15.7kpa, so stage 4 (cirrhosis) which was caused by fatty liver disease, I started the ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting , 1 year, 75 fewer pounds later, yesterday I went for another fibroscan, my score went from 15.7kpa to 4.5kpa, stage 1(mild/no fibrosis) so.. Cirrhosis IS reversible
I Hope you feel well and take care of yourself
yes. depending on the cause. alcoholic cirrhosis is irreversible but other types like viral cirrhosis is reversible

Alcohol kills.
@@osmosis Its just sucking that its so expensive.
Though there are thousands of videos on RUclips explaining cirrhosis. But this is the most useful one becoz it shows the functioning of the cell and its pathology in the form of great animation and humor.
Osmosis is Awesome.🥰
Thanks for lovely feedback, Laawaris! We appreciate this! 🙌🏼 💕 ✨
Explained in such simple terms! Thank you so much for helping us students out here!😭
Happy to help, Siyamalini! 😊
I’m doing the DRY JANUARY CHALLENGE. My friend was just diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver. I know my heavy drinking days are over with. Thank you for the education of a lifetime.
Hello how are u doing now? Is ur friend okay?

So sad, my mom was diagnosed with cirrhosis, when she showed all the symptoms it was to late to save her life. She was gone in less than a month! I miss her with so much 😭.... thank you for this very educational video as I am still looking for answers of what happened to her.
We're sorry to hear that. Take care.
My grandmother was just diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis.. I hope her health does not go downhill that fast..
Same thing happened to my mom
I have cirrhosis of the liver caused by a fatty liver (the worst kind of cirrhosis) but it took years before I got into trouble. Gallstone blockage on and off for 10 years was part of the problem, but I also abused alcohol for about 20 years before I stopped drinking and smoking. The rest was genetic. (I am 76 so I can't whine that life cheated me.) I am still at cirrhosis stage 1 and there are 4 stages. Stages 1 and 2 are considered capable of self-healing if you remove the culprit causing the pathology (i.e. stop drinking totally or get treated for other causes), but it's no guarantee, especially if you have a fatty-liver genesis. Stages 3 & 4 are more complicated but surgery, like a robotic surgery liver shunt (tube connection) from vein to vein can alleviate water buildup (ascites) and varicose veins in the stomach or esophagus--which can bleed profusely and cause death, unless you can get to the emergency room in time. Oh, and liver transplants have a cutoff date of age 70, or younger if you have other issues like high blood pressure and heart problems, etc.
@@johig4378 thank you for sharing your story it is inspiring
I'm shook from how great this vid was

Same 😭😭💕💕💕
I have a medicine test tomorrow, thanks a lot for all the content. Thank you osmosis!
We hope your exam went well, Abhishek! 🙏🏼 ❤️ 😊
I drank myself into the emergency room today. I am already diagnosed with a fatty liver so my mom and cousin sat me down and we watched your video. My take away was Cirrhosis = Death.
So your mom and cousin loves you so stop acting like an idiot. Work hard and win back your moms love cause at moment she says you a real jerk.
Its true also...
No, you can still have a liver transplant, but find GOD so you stop drinking
its crazy how much simpler a subject is when it is explain in a clear, well though out manner. Thank you so much Osmosis!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, I just literally love your videos! You helped me a lot to get through Med school. Could you maybe make a video about liver function blood tests? ( for example why specific tests are positive in hepatic cytolytic syndrome and why others in cholestasis syndrome??) It would be sooo helpful! I genuinely thank you for your amazing work!
My uncle had a stomach bloating . He thought it was gas trouble. But when it became frequent for more than a month, for the first time in his life he visited a hospital. ( never had health issues in his 59 years ). Unfortunately,he was diagnosed with end stage liver cirrhosis + advanced colon cancer. Doctors gave a poor prognosis, hardly 5 months .. Sadly, he even couldn't survive for 45 day's...
We lost him on Oct 10th 2021..😔
Miss him badly 😪
I'm sorry for your loss
Was he alcoholic?
@@rt7484Nope... non alcoholic. Surprisingly those daily boozers I know don't get sick either.. Irony.. Isn't it??
I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom on October 18 2021. She also was diagnosed with end stage cirrhosis.
@@jocieortega8843 Sorry to hear for the loss of your dearest Mom..I too lost my Mom in 2015 due to Endometrial cancer. Prayers 🙏
It's important to call it specifically as "hepatic or liver cirrhosis" because based on definitions and terminology, cirrhosis itself is a complication which can potentially appear in other tissues or organs as well(e.g. in breast and etc.). Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. thanks
Simple enough to easily understand, detailed enough to get key points
Hi Cardi! Thanks for cool feedback! 🙌🏼 💕 ✨
Thanks guys it helped understand the pathophysiology
A close friend of mine who's dad has this and got transmitted to the hospital and his liver is beyond repair due to years of alcohol abuse so I'm looking to see if there's any remedies or supplements I can find to help him cleanse and detox it.
I’m currently preparing for my university exams and your videos are SO helpful to understand concept of the topics❤️
We wish you all the best, Sanjana! 🙏🏼
This video is far better than what my medical faculty taught us for 5 years
Wow, thanks! 🙌🏼
Thankyou sir form india 🇮🇳 ❤️
those changes in portal flow (the portosystemic shunt) trigger renal vasoconstriction because:
1. portal hypertension makes the splenic ven vasodilate
2. vasodilation leads to arterial underfilling
3. sympathetic system gets activated (renin-angiotensin-aldosteron, endothelin activation)
4. renal vasoconstriction
Can you please do a video on hepatic encephalopathy?
yes please, ASAP
One doubt? How portal systemic shunt causes renal constriction?explain it pls frnd?
Do not ever stop... Never
These are such well-made videos.
Thank you so much for all of your work!

Questions I have always had. What are the guidelines for the amount and length of time for alcohol consumption to cause cirrhosis? Second, does low B1 levels (or feeling better when one takes B1) indicate anything about the functioning of the liver?

So clearly explained. Loved it, Thank you!!!
