So does more PLAYER and SUMMON DMWS reduce the magic pot grind since they are on different reels or does only more chocobo DMWS reduce the odds of magic pot? I'd love to magic pot grind but I want to try and push my cursed ring run as far as I can. I'll see if I can do my own research but if anyone else can add their input, it would help verify the result.
If only chocobo DMWs affect the grind, then in theory you can skip the summons if you like and the player ones won't get in the way of getting further to unlock 4 accessory slots and item fusion. I think what I'll do is use the method of stealing rolling pins from holy tonberry's which you first brought up. It will take longer, but I can keep both cursed and non cursed going longer and there's still a chance I can boost magic pot DMW to give my rolling pins later when I do take off the ring for the 10% run.
Cursed only run is proving to be a challenge on the mission front. Got one 6* mission done but the second was probably too much (2 boundflats and 2 wasp types that do death).
I just hit New Game plus, now to pull the PrimalGrind for perfection
Still hit 72% on mission completion on first playthrough

On the PSP version I did everything and maxed out towards the end of the game. This time I maxed out all stats by chapter 5. I didn't mean to become so OP that early but I became so obsessed with completing missions and I ended up doing the M9 missions and got all the game breaking accessories. 😄

Been playing this and really dig this version. it's definitely the definitive version and I love it. Kind of wish some of the voice acting was better but it's still so fun.

I’m gonna have to disagree about the summon cutscenes take. They remade all of the summons scenes, just look up the summons side by side and you’ll see just how different they are.
Why is it everytime i summon ifrit i just get a cut scene of Genesis??!
The fan club is easy to miss imo.

...they did, the designs for summons are drastically different all the CGIs for summons are completely new.
Ifrit isnt, you can tell with how badly pixelated the animation is for it
@Primalliquid go look at comparison it's obviously different, it's Ifrits Remake design, in Crisis Core PSP he looked very different

Currently trying the magic pot farming trick... Still though, it took me like 20 hours to get just 2 Gold Rolling Pins and a Shinra Beta +. I'm kinda tired of it now...
Bad RNG for magic pot is annoying... But thanks for confirming that I'd need about 5 Rolling Pins in Total.
So I guess another 3 days stuck in the same mission...
I've literally retried it 3 times. Hours upon hours of it. Keep at it! Well get there
It would be nice to see the missions broken up into separate chunks instead of baked into the walkthrough sections, like between ch3 and ch4 do shortish videos on "Missions 6-1-x", "Missions 6-2-x", etc. That way they're easily searchable and digestable if someone wants to see recommended strategies for bosses, chests and rewards, notable steals, how to unlock, etc.
Yeah I wish that they touch up the cutscenes, they really stick out
I have been doing the Magic Pot Grind for HOURS still no Beta Plus :/ at least 5 hrs*
Update finally got it after 55 magic pots!
i had to do it for about 12 hours to get the beta plus that was about 30+ magic pots
@MetaDragoon Yeah im well over that now. Up to 30 pots last I checked
@@Tbn1991 I did a 23hr grind for the beta+ and got like 22 gold pins plus other things. It would be more helpful if the Primalliquid guy was more clear on what you needed and don’t need. I checked his other guides and he doesn’t specifically say what you’re grinding for or how to really use the items/equipment that he mentions to progress forward. So don’t give up. I just watched Netflix on my laptop and lowered my game volume. Checking every so often

@Primalliquid yes I rememberwhat we were needing. I'm well over that for rolling pins. But had to turn off my PC, so had to finish the mission. I'm still grinding for the Shrina Beta+ just now I'm in the missions.. I have over 1m in gill lol

Reunion is so much easier than original. You couldn't just get the best items before chapter 5. in theory you could, though it took too many tries to get back to your savepoint everytime you loose.
How do you use items like ehers in battle? is that possible?

The next DMW is Cissnei in chapter 4 once you leave HQ and enter sector 8 so I'd assume magic pot farming needs to be done before then otherwise the odds then drop.
Kind of bummed that you've not taken the cursed ring further. I was hoping to see if my methods were the same as yours regarding low level grinding. I'm thinking of maybe taking the cursed ring as far as I can and then try to farm magic pot to get 1 roll of 5 golden rolling pins. As for cursed ring run, have ideas for grinding gil but with no dmw, I won't be able to master materia and I'll need other ways to get good materia.
i may be wrong but i think only the summon dmw's will reduce your odds because you can get the character dmw's even if you dont have them unlocked and just be chain slash.

Correct. Holding off on all the optional dmw people for cissnie would make things faster, but would invalidate the doing things as early as possible part. So depends on how much that matters to you
From what I see from the wiki (based on the OG) it's about 10% chance of a summon mode and 9.4% for Chocobo mode. It implies that it doesn't matter how many characters you have, if you hit the 10%, you'll get the mode. So I'll probably try and push cursed ring as far as I can and then maybe take the status off for MP farming, that or steal from holy tonberries.
I want to thank you for your efforts and hard work making these videos but I have some serious issues with them. I hoping you can provide more clarity.
I’ve watched few of your other guides(how become a beast before ch 4, magic pot grind, how to get max stats, and the Genji armor) I’ve noticed that you don’t actually explain anything clearly in any of those videos by that I mean, you don’t explain what I’m farming magic pot for, how much of the gold i need, items setup/load out, etc. many people have corrected you about item location and also that monster are immune to your poison gravity combo. You just tend to repeat yourself over and over without taking a breath. So it’s hard to digest the important stuff you are saying.
I see in the 100% walkthrough you explain much more clearly about certain things so thank you for that.
well, i explained in this video and in the magic pot video lol ideally, you want shinra beta+ for def to survive the later missions and then 5 gold rolling pins, as for item corrects the only real mistake i made in the guides was when i said 4-4-3 for tri thundaga when its 4-4-4, as for the immunity one, i never said EVERYTHING is weak to them, i said "majority" the only times your really going to run into mobs immune to gravity is the 4-4-x bosses and when things are immune to gravity you should just hold back and do hit and run tactics.

It just takes longer to do. If your far into the game I wouldn't bother.

Sorry to bring a negative criticism but there was too much talking from you in the first part and equally so with this part.
I understand the need to explain what you're doing and what's going to happen but point of where is we miss all be listening to a podcast with updates turn the channel.

Yeah its so hard to hear the cutscenes a lot of the time and sometimes he literally doesnt stop talking. As you said he has to explain things but just trying to provide some feedback.
@@Filiolus i mean, if you want to see a playthrough with no commentary, they do exist elsewhere. This is supposed to be a playthrough to get overpowered early and get everything in one run, so he needs to talk. Sure, some times he rambles, but I think he’s talking over things because he might be afraid of copyright strikes, which happens a lot on video game content.
@@GalaxyRed Don't get me wrong at all - i enjoy his commentary, but he literally doesn't have a break in conversation for the most part (There's an exception like 20-30 seconds during a couple times like ~14:45 - 15:15 .. ), also repeats himself while things are going on, the volume is REALLY low, like I said its all just feedback. If he doesn't want to change oh well, but I hope something makes it better for everybody, if that makes sense.

i wont lose my voice, as for the constant talking these videos are for a walkthrough. if people just want story then its far easier to search "crisis core reunion movie" and watch that way. story is NOT a focus of this series of videos.
