Does Brad knows that he missed out one of the main abilities of the game? Brad, you need to go back to the first area where you first fought that giant crying metal head guy, there was a fire wolf back there. When you defeat him, you get "transformation" ability which allows you to transform in that fire work for as long as your Mana doesn't run out. Those transformation has their own health and move set. You are playing the game without using its one of the main functions.
A lot of people have mentioned it in the previous two videos but he never got to it. I assume these videos were pre-recorded.

Also invest in the move sets it helps you to have more cooler attacks and you will have many ways to end a boss and more faster.

I love watching brad because he’s so positive, instead of yelling and getting mmad when he dies, he just accepts it and takes it as a lesson to win in the next try. I also love how he stays quiet in cutscenes, so we also get to experience the game as well. Keep it up brad!!

I find it so funny that the headless monk guy has a heavy scottish accent, despite the fact he's in ancient china
To be exact, the headless guy's accent is from Shaanxi, which is a northwestern province of China. Some people still speak with this accent now, if they are not used to speak Mandarin Chinese. I just watched a video of Scottish accent for the first time and it sounds really similar haha.

The short clip after every chapter summarise the whole bosses backstory is just too wholesome. So well done artistically.

Did you guys know? I only noticed today that after each chapter ends, there's a painting where you can zoom in. If you press "E" (on PC) on any important character or scene, it will play an introduction related to that character or scene, giving you more insight into the story's background! Please try it.

In this Cutscene I have learned that we humans do not fear other creature but we fear what they will do to us. So what we do when we are fear We nip the bud, we killed it. This also show that we fear what will happened in the future. We have pure kindness and we also have a dark side called fear. once fear overwhelm us. we became what we've feared the most. We done stupid thing. If we don't fear and trust each other thing will be better. All it took to break the bond is fear. So the lesson is when you see a problem do not try to end it try your best to solve the problem. even when you don't have time have a clear conscious and solve it.

The fox's ending is similar to that of Sun Wukong. The Heavenly Court is just worried that Sun Wukong‘s power will threaten the Heavenly Court, so as long as he is alive, he is a threat to the Heavenly Court.

When I was a kid growing up reading the book and Tv show about The Journey to the West, I wouldn’t imagine one day there is a game that almost reproduces everything I have read. What’s even more impressive is that many scenes in the game look almost the same in real life. The team must have spent lots of efforts trying to respect the original story. 😊
Hey Brad, the location you fought the First Prince of Flowering Sands, there is a stone wall with carvings all over the place right beneath the cliff where you jumped in to fight him. you either drive the boss to charge that wall to break it, or use your transformation head smash skill to break the wall. The wall will show a crack for you to sneak in, in which there is an item, the dragon scale. thats the item to unlock another hidden boss in that chapter, located somewhere that has a sand waterfall i think
it's in chapter one behind the waterfall. A hidden dragon boss. Brad been missing too many thing in this game.

I sure hope this game gets game of the year. This game seems freaking amazing. I wish I am able to play it for myself but watching brads videos since I was 14 has made it all worth it. I’m 26 almost 27 now. So thank you Brad again for all these years of gaming man
Brad i suggest you go back to chapter 1 and near the massive head boss i another boss that gives you access to the 3rd bell and will also give you a really cool ability

Fox spirits are well known tricksters in Chinese mythology.
It's kinda a Chinese superstition. He prefer to trust a dream than a Yaoguai, which can be fatal.
Was it really just a dream or a warning? We have to take into consideration that the entire game is grounded in the supernatural.

Two things I think would help…
1.) if you don’t want to alert enemies while exploring, use cicada form.
2.) don’t forget to use the staff spin to block enemy arrows

Iv been stuck on the tiger boss for a long time lol Iv probably tried like 15+ attempts. Just shows how good of a player Brad is! Loving this game and this video series so much!
I only died 7 times to the tiger and the boss was indeed hard I couldn’t figure out how to beat it but damn I was lucky because I was at 1hp when i killed the boss

Here's some more related Journey to The West lore for those who interested.
Huangfeng (golden/yellow wind) was an apprentice of Gautama Buddha (the guy who invented Buddhism). He's a weasel that learned magic and turned himself humanoid. After centuries spent following Buddha, he eventually got casted away for stealing and sent back to the mortal realm.
Now this guy is no ordinary mid-tier monster, his power and combat skill can rival Wukong himself. He also has a special ability: "Divine Wind of Samadhi", one gust of this wind can cause typhoon on Heaven, level mountains and rivers on Earth and bring sandstorm to Hell. Only Bodhisattva Lingi can counter this wind because he own a pearl that can neglect storms.
Although having the potential and power of a Great Saint (like Wukong), he's... a weasel, thus chose to hide in a cave and declared himself king of a tiny group of lesser monsters.
One day his minion kidnapped Xuanzang which cause Huangfeng to fight Wukong (unwillingly, he's very scared). After a tie melee match, Huangfeng used the OP skill, blinded Wukong but cannot kill since Wukong's body is immune to physical damage.
Wukong fled, asked Bodhisattva Lingi for help and got granted the magical pearl, he defeated Huangfeng and sent him to Lingi for some "jail time".

I have to say I have been watching this game from all different RUclipsrs and all different platforms. I like the way you approach and your attitude. This is defiantly not a usual western game that you actually need to know the story and back ground a bit. I appreciate you always being positive, calm and putting nice words during the games. I have not researched much of the Chinese mythology
and the creative team behind this video game certainly try to wow everybody outside of their own culture… About their culture

Hi Brad! Just telling you that according to the Chinese community there are about 4 endings, and the true ending is the one which the words color of the List of employees of Game Sciences is written BLACK but not White, that one is the ending that you fight buddha or something, for now it seems no one got the third and final true ending.
I cant believe ive been watching all these videos. I love the journey to the west lore. This game looks incredible but i am unable to get or have a system to play the game. Living vicariously through these videos

I think the reason why some ppl find it like a boss rush is because they take the quick route (i think its a part of the game design for game rushers XD), but there are so many hidden contents that requires ppl to be curious and exploring, i.e. in this chapter there are at least two hidden maps, one of them gives you an item that deals with the tornado from the final boss. It's super nice to watch a first playthrough but it's also toothbiting seeing how much of the hidden contents are missed 😂 hope you do a second play through doing all of the detailed and hidden contents!
Also the hidden contents explain a lot of histories behind the scene (because some of them bring you back in time), which also gives you different endings and understanding of the events that had happened in the story, I.e. sometimes it flips the goods and evils in the story 😈

I have been stuck on Tiger for 3 days now. This game is extremely fun and challenging. But I do wish there was a slightly easier difficulty for when your struggling. I'd love to progress the story. Haha well done Brad you make it look it easy at times.
