My 22 year old brother was recently killed. We are both gamers. He loved the first Space Marine. He was so excited about Space Marine 2. It was the one game he was truly waiting to play. Life is short, enjoy the experience while you are here. I hope this game is good. Edit: Anyone that wants to know what happened to my brother, it is private. He was healthy, and a great person. His death was not of his doing, but the cause of another individual's actions. That is all you need to know. Just enjoy life while you have it.

I got interested in Warhammer a few months back and decided to look up the lore. Found a video about the intro to the lore. Yea it was over an hour long just for the lore intro.
Me and my brother grew up without internet or very much TV/ video games but we LOVED them. We were visiting our uncle one summer, and we accidently found this random thing "LETS PLAY - A TELL TALE GAMES THE WALKING DEAD" and we were HOOKED. It was the first thing we ever truly "binged" and when we got older and grew apart, we can always remind each other of that time to get taken back to the simpler times. :) Thank you so much for that!! So much life has happened since then.

Exactly, after space marine 1 first came out, the second was in the pipeline but was scraped after the company went bankrupt (I think) seeing all of this as someone who follows the lore and has a ultramarine army it's just amazing to finally see it after so many years.
This being an intro scene, titus on a mk 7 power armor means he's yet to cross the rubicon primaris, as suggested on the trailer him being on primaris armor. Also, he served on the deathwatch post space marine 1 timeline, AND earned 2 more studs.. love the little details and hints on the timeline
The size difference between the Marines and the regular fighters is exactly what it should look like in rings of power between the Numanorians and regular people
Super annoying… I’m critical of the show but kinda like it too… but I cannot understand why they did that? They are supposed to be huge… and be superior to regular humans… yet they look the exact same
Not in most cases but absolutely for Elendil, he should tower over everyone else. The average Numenorean was tall, but not Space Marine tall. Elendil was nearly 8 feet though
That show. For the amount of money they have spent on RoP and how good the movies were, I was hoping for so much more. Some parts are OK, but I burst out laughing with the orc father not wanting to go war and just wanting a home for the mother and baby. Sometimes, it’s OK to have bloodthirsty monsters and savages to root for out heroes to kill in fantasy and sci-fi. Why try to make me root for Sauron, or Ardar and the Orcs…anyway, rant aside, this game gets it.

49:22 Gears of War and Helldivers 2 were inspired by Warhammer 40k, specially Helldivers 2, consider Warhammer 40K the father of those games. On that note, W40K took a lot of inspiration from the Dune books. Dune is the godfather of sci-fi, just like LOTR is the godfather of fantasy. On a side note: because W40K is mainly a tabletop game, you don't have a lot of great videogames, a lot of ppl consider "Dawn of War" 1 and 2 (RTS games) as the best W40K videogames. However, lately, and thankfully, we are having shooters from the W40K universe, like Space Marine 1 (2011), Darktide (2022) and now Space Marine 2.
@davidjohnson5635 Frankenstein is less sci-fi than science-fantasy. There's an important distinction. And yes, those older books played their part, but if you look for the inspirational value authors had on those that came after, and in how they popularised the genre overall, Asimov is the biggest name in sci-fi.

So after being found that he was not tainted, yet still not cleared of charges, he was ordered to serve penance with the Deathwatch. Though they are highly honored chapter many of its members are sent there as punishment.
A black shield also means he renounced, or does not know, his chapter of origin for one reason or another. Unless he is accepted back into his chapter, he is effectively a chapterless marine.
First time was Spider man 2018, just lost everything in the Camp Fire in Paradise Ca. Sitting in a hotel room with my dogs not knowing what to do. Brads voice was so comforting, been hooked ever since. Keep it up my man, you don't know the comfort and joy you bring to so many people.

It's really enjoyable as a first time viewer. You are really calm and not overly loud which makes it easy to watch. Additionally, you don't talk over in game dialogue, or at least do so very little.
