I love this. I made a cutting mistake on a garment that I am making. I'm making a house robe for myself.
Luckily the piece that i had to piece together was on the facing and it will be hidden.
I'm glad that you didn't edit the mistake out. I know now I'm not the only one.
You are a rare gem. You are perfectly flawed and not ashamed. That is rare in todays world and it is refreshing.
Tomorrow i will sew my robe and hid my mistake.... I'm encouraged now to finish it.

I watched a video once and Vanessa said most people say her business name wrong and that it’s ok. lol she said to think of Cinderella as that’s where it came from just remove the Cinder and add the L 😊

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You make me feel so much better. When I make stupid mistakes, not that yours was stupid, I just get soooooo angry and frustrated I just throw my hands up and walk away to try again another day..then that day never comes. I will now attempt to be more careful in reading my directions and not get angry at myself and dismiss the project. We are all human!! ( I think)😂😂😂
@@MsDale1976 No point in getting angry. As the Quilting Marine says: "It's just fabric and thread." I am terrible at following pattern cutting directions. I end up sewing small pieces together to get a big piece like April did. Nobody is perfect. Some of us are less perfect than others. Give yourself some grace. 😏
April you are the best you keep me laughing and I love when you and your friend quilt the same quilt but they look different but from the same pattern.Quilting is hard work thanks for being there to teach me how easy it can be.
Fannie - you can do it! Just remember - it is fun and bring your sense of humor. I agree - 2 people can make the same pattern and they will look totally different - that is the beauty of it. ;-)

Just received my "On Stage" pattern from Villa Rosa's Designs today. It is going to be a great pattern to use to make donation quilts to our children's hospital and local shelters thru out guild.
I saw an interview with Vanessa Goertzen the designer of Lella Boutique and she said it's pronounced like the end of Cinderella if that makes sense! I love your videos!!! Adorable quilt!

When I saw you with Dee at first I thought you might be Salt Lake local. So sad you are not. I moved to Utah almost 3 years ago. I have since learned to quilt but haven’t found my peeps here yet. Probably spending too much time in my sewing room. 🤗

I just love your style. You're the best for a beginner who doesn't have time to cut tiny pieces all the time but would like to complete a quilt tip.
Also note at about 13 minutes there's an overlay of voice over talking your voice. It only lasts about a minute or 2.

Villa Rosa patterns are VERY inexpensive. I believe it was $2 at my LQS last time I bought one.

Fun fact...You chose the halloween and the pattern named Nevada (my state). Traditionally, Nevada Day was on October 31; now it's observed on the last Friday of October.

There's a reason why Villa Rosa's patterns are only 2 bucks; it's because all they do is give you basic cutting and fabric requirements. note no image 1,2,3 etc. Also note no pressing arrows. I made several mistakes pressing between the units and ended up spending much time with JACK the Ripper. UGG these patterns are not for beginners or for the faint at heart. You go girl.
Making mistakes is how we get enough scraps to make a scrap quilt.

you dont tell us what we are suppose to cut though for the pattern! We are guessing. So only like the ones that you tell us the pattern and what to cut instead of hiding it. :(

April, it is pronounced Lella like Ella with an L before it. Or like Cinderella- rella drop the r add the L “Lella”. You are welcome!
I hate the commercials before and after (and sometimes in the middle of a video), but at least I have a choice to watch them of skip. I really hate hate when the "influencer" starts doing ads in the middle of a video. When that happens, I just stop watching. I always loved watching your videos, but have mostly stopped watching you since you have started doing the ads.
In case you don't know, you can drag the dot on the bottom of the screen until it's past the commercial. I don't mind them selling things they use because as an affiliate, they might make a few cents on anything we buy because they give us so much free instruction. Check out the prices of classes either on line or jn person in your area.
