As a kid I clearly remember my mother and grandmother taking Niacin, this was almost 55 years ago. The reason I remember is because they would blush almost hot pink, specifically my grandmother. My mother past away from a stroke, but after taking a severe blow to the head by falling. My grandmother died of natural causes at 112. She died at home and we were out drinking at restaurants till 106. My father is currently 103 and healthier than myself and lives independently. I should had started taken Niacin long ago, instead I am taking Crestor.
Me too on Crestor , Can you take Niacin with Crestor , I really believe that the Pharmaceutical Conglomerates and Hospital’s without each other have a problem , The FDA I caught lying and it’s hard to believe them anymore , I since a kid up at the cabin in Yosemite but not the crowded valley but a area semi remote I walked and always since as a kid I evolved naturally into loving it and going up hills to just knowing my body , I need to write back its extremely important ! I can tell your a lot like I have been but I lack in the truth in areas your privy to it, I know you can’t say much in that regard , I was prescribed Crestor 10 mg and yea I don’t feel right , Can I take the Niacin I bought with it and I will address the rest later , I have been aware of most supplements since a teen and take what I feel I’am lacking rather than create expensive urine , Magnesium I see as important too, I love walking fast, I will get back it’s important and I can see a person in you I can trust , I know this Podcast is probably enormous but I may get lucky , Sincerely Kevin Standow
Thank you so much Dr.Berg for mentioning Niacin as a treatment for lowering cholesterol I actually started taking it about four months ago and it has already lowered my cholesterol and as you mentioned much more tolerable than a statin. You are now officially my family doctor and I don't have to wait three hours to see you. Your videos are awesome and so informative.
News flash Cholesterol is genetic recent research has shown that you can deal with it without drugs and ESPECIALLY do NOT go near Statins. People do your homework. Most doctors today just parrot whatever they are told by the the pharmaceutical companies VERY VERY few doctors actually know what the hell they are telling you to take. My wife is a microbiologist. Her knowledge is cellular based. Your average doctor does NOT have that level of knowledge.

This is a great video. My 56 yo husband had a heart attack at 46 and has been on Simvastatin since that time and I know there is a drug interaction with it. I want desperately to get him off all medications, especially this one. I am going to wait til March when we go see his cardiologist. She's fairly open to natural medicine so I plan to do my research before then. I so wish the medical field was not money driven. It makes for a lot of unhealthy, uninformed people. Thank you Dr. Berg.
My father took simvastatin long term and his health was worsened everyday, he lost all appetide to eat, everything tasted bad to him, his muscle became so weak he lost his ability to walk, he won't eat anything and then he died. I didnt know simvastatin caused it until my doctor prescribed it for my cholesterol, i consumed it for 1 week and i felt so bad. I started googling and i found so many side effects, doctors didnt say anything about side effects when they prescribed it. I stay away from statin since then.
Dr. Berg is correct with his info. My cholesterol numbers were terrible about two years ago. My doctor wanted to put me on a statin. I did a bit a research and found that niacin had potential benefits. After six months of taking 1000 mg of niacin per day my cholesterol numbers have been perfect and I’ve never felt better. My total cholesterol dropped from 286 to 152 and my LDL/HDL numbers are perfectly within range.
He’s awesome! Always my go to. My Dr wants me to take statins but I’ve held off. My ldl is 448. High, but not extreme. She wants me to take them because I just turned 70 + my ldl level. Seems dumb to me because I’m pretty healthy & I’m young for my age. My BP is a bit high, but not alarming & 10 mg per day of lisinopril is the only med I take. I think Dr Berg is far more knowledgeable than my Dr, so I’m going to start the niacin asap & see what my blood test says in 6 months.

I'm a bit confused Dr Berg, the extended release tablets do not cause the niacin flush. They are specifically designed to be released over a period of time so it's not to cause a niacin flush. You recommended that we consume niacin tablets that cause the flush. And the extended release tablets do not cause flush.??
You might want to do a little research of your own before giving it to her. There is quite a bit of evidence that Niacin doses as little as 500 mg can damage the liver. Dr Berg has no clinical experience with any supplement or medications. He is merely reading a few studies to us. There are many more studies that contradict him.
I also love ketones and taurine...for the hearts favorite fuel and strengthening. FYI modern-day veg oils degrade taurine, and our high sugar diet inhibits ketone production. Taking these both has definitely improved my heart function. 🙂

Avoid statins. They destroy your body.
Man I hope I don’t live that long. I’m ready to be done here and I’m only 35
You from MN?
112! Oh wow
Great 👍 thanks for sharing ❤

Thanks for the tip. I AM 34 years old with heart failure & 2 babies, & we are completely alone.
I’m so sorry to heard this, how u doing now, hope u are doing better I will pray for u and your 2 children may the Lord bless you and heal you ❤
Considering it has been a year, I hope you are well. And not alone unless you choose to be.
What brand Naicin do you take?
How great. Could you please share the brand name of your pills please 🙏
Yes please, it's hard to find natural B3 without cheap fillers

He’s awesome! Always my go to. My Dr wants me to take statins but I’ve held off. My ldl is 448. High, but not extreme. She wants me to take them because I just turned 70 + my ldl level. Hi,
My mom has Afib as well and had a stroke recently. How are you managing / curing her Afib.
@@sy3dfarazalam my mom had it too.... hasn't had another since adding quality magnesium (for muscle), Nattokinase (for blood thinning--- there are better enzymatic thinners, but this is the one she's currently using... Research it a bit), plant foods, and NEVER get dehydrated... Find a quality electrolyte supplement and have her take it regularly.
My mom noticed her heart gets a little wonky when she gets dehydrated, and although there are some who would say there are other reasons for developing AFIB, my mom is a firm believer that it's cause is dehydration/electrolyte imbalance.
BTW... My mom refused to take the prescription thinners... Too hard to manage. There are good natural alternatives. Best of luck with your mom... Many people recover from AFIB.

Would nutritional yeast work?
I'm a bit confused Dr Berg, the extended release tablets do not cause the niacin flush. They are specifically designed to be released over a period of time so it's not to cause a niacin flush. You recommended that we consume niacin tablets that cause the flush. And the extended release tablets do not cause flush.??
This is the best !!!! My gosh I owe you so much Dr Berg. I am going to get this today for my mom ❤
which one do you recommend?....to make sure I get the right one......thanks....
