Final Fantasy 12 was first released way back in 2006 on the PS2. At the time, it was considered somewhat controversial by many Final Fantasy fans due to its departure from traditional FF gameplay. However, it is now looked back on fondly and many would consider Final Fantasy XII to be the best entry in the franchise. In 2007 the International Zodiac edition was released (in Japan only), and this version of the game included a more traditional job-based system and a new battle areana. For this remastered release, these additional changes are being brought to us fans in the West for the first time ever - along with high resolution textures and remastered soundtrack!

For the Soul of Thamasa, I found it much more efficient to steal from the Trophy Rare Game Ishteen in the Barheim Passage during the trophy rare game quest. You can spawn him in the East-West Bypass by just standing there for up to 8 minutes, steal it from him with Thief's Cuffs, then WITHOUT KILLING HIM, move to The Zeviah Span area. He should spawn immediately, steal another Soul from him. WITHOUT KILLING HIM, run back to the save crystal (or a couple zones away) and repeat twice. Very fast way to obtain the 6 Souls needed.
Soul of thamasa can also be dropped from certain enemies like the plant based ixion type enemies(mallicants) although it's a very low drop rate I found one by accident but idk percent it may also be a bug with them will test more when in the caverns

I remember this took me A LOT OF HOURS back in the day (original FF12). Loved the grind. It took dozens of hours back then, following the official guide.
You can steal high arcana from adramelech esper. If you don’t get it just leave and re enter the boss zone without killing him. Got 3 high arcana in like 8 minutes.
I noticed you don't mention the bazaar behavior that allows you to unlock multiple items with a shared batch of ingredients. Example being that you can get an Empyreal Soul and a Serpentarius from ONE High Arcana if you sell the ingredients for both items before backing out of "Sell" and seeing the message that new bazaar goods are available. Likewise the Tournesol and the Kumbha can be unlocked with just 3 Gemsteel if you sell all the other required loot in one go.
Really? That sounds a lot easier than just farming for them, do you have a link that I can find that explains the Bazaar Behavior a lot better?

To be honest,
I have been testing this since the ps2 version. You can keep the Bazaar drops coming in so long as you DO NOT BUY ANYTHING in the Bazaar with exception to the monographs you have unlocked, or the canopic jar.
I have sold the required items for the gold armor set and golden shield at differing points in the game, and it had unlocked.
I just want to say thank you for posting this tip! I had literally everything except for the infuriating "Souls of Thomasa," (and therefore, I didn't have enoug High Arcana). With your extra tip of selling ONE H.A. for BOTH Serpentarius and Empyreal Soul, I had JUST enough of everything. Thanks again!
Thank you so much to Fuzzfinger Gaming for posting this video and others. For the first time in 15 years (first playing the PS2 version, then the Zodiac Age), I finally got the coveted Tournesol! Many kudos!
Just did this was a pain but the sword looks great. If you haven't started the trophy hunt yet check it out it will make farming some rares easier. then I farmed the high arcana from dustia rare drop which was pretty easy.
I got the Kumbha at the same time turning all the items for both weapons in order except for the gemsteel which i did last and only needed 3 instead of 5

We should talk about how you could journey into the various side quests and tasks needed to get all the best weapons for the respective jobs, or you could give everyone an invisible bow that does twice as much damage as almost every other weapon from range, quite literally from the beginning of the game lol

Way back 2006, I played this game and farmed for the materials obtaning the Tournesol. The hardest grind for me is the specific wolf (i forgot the location, seems in the southernmost part of the world map). Farming for it was worth it though and very rewarding.

To make the snakes much easier:
Gambit to steal from Earth-weak foes (it'll ignore all the others). Steal the Snake Skin then kill it for a chance at another one. Two-zone away and do it again.
I know this is a year late but...To be honest a gambit isn't needed. The snakeskin can be stolen AND dropped and isn't exactly rare. I usually just go in solo, steal, then kill the snake. Obviously it's not a guaranteed drop but in many cases I've obtained 2 snake skins this way instead of just one via stealing. Then it's just a case of going back two zones (via the village) and repeating the process; chaining isn't even needed because it's a reasonably common drop (and a common steal, actually it's even possible to receive 2 snake skins as a drop although this is fairly rare unless you're chaining 'em).
Geez what a chore! Lol. You have to craft these items, but to get them you need to craft these other 6 items, etc. Appreciate the guide man!

FuzzFinger, you've done loads in your videos that have helped me through my first solo player Final Fantasy game, so I feel I can help you as well with this. You can potentially get 2+ snake skins form the Wildsnake if you steal from it, then kill it, and then 2 screen reset and it spawns again.

Beat the Gil Snapper, Orthos and Trickster hunt - sell their drops to get the Canopic Jar - Go to Dalmasca Westersand and Farm Dustia for High Arcana. Muuuuuch less painful than what this guide tells you to do for it.

How do you know the marital combination to craft the weapons?
you can get the high archna from Dusta once you have one of the monographs, can't remember which one it is though.

Soul powder can b stolen from trophy mon in the necrohol..
And U can get high arcana from the rare mon drop in westersand... the one u use to power level w/ phoenix downs.

Damn the memories of hours killing enemies just to get a serpentarius...
That Leshach Halcyon you steal @ 15:05 is needed to craft the Simha, the most powerful 1 handed sword.
You know its funny when farming steals from enemies. Some enemies like the snake @ 25:30 you have to go 2 zones away to steal the item again. But the entite enemies, you only need to go 1 zone away to attempt a new steal. I got a few of the different halcyon varieties this way. I guess the game gives you a break when you find one because the the weather conditions can change when entering a new zone. Having to go 2 zones away would give you 4 chances to change the weather meaning the entite wont spawn vs. going only 1 zone away.
HardPunkKore how do you that? I tried 1 zone and I got message "steal failed there's nothing to steal. " 😭

You can get Wargods Band every time by stealing it from the Trophy Game Victanir. He'll spawn about 40% of the time at the Yellow Sands of the Nam Yensa Sandsea. It took me 30 to 40 minutes to get a total of 6 bands, it does take awhile because you'll miss the steal often from this fiend. Remember to *NOT KILL VICTANIR* it is a Trophy Game *not* a Rare Game, once you kill it, it's gone!!!

Thanks for accepting my request :) I'm trying to farm the stuff needed for 3 gemsteels and I'm having issues with Hell Gate's flame and Scarlatite... like THEY NEVER DROP. I spent 2 hours in the Feywoods and I was able to get only one. On the contrary the turtle in Nabreus refuses to drop scarlatite, I didn't get even one. Ugh... it's gonna be one hell of a LONG farming. Why am I doing it in the first place when I already have 6 Seitengrats? xD
Now I just miss Soul's powder and War God's hand :)
+Munakata Reishi Just got my Tournesol :D In the end it was easier than I thought because I already had most items that I needed but I didn't know it because the italian version of the game calls them differently xD

Munakata Reishi there's an easier way of getting Scarletit. If you're already at Cerobi Steppe and started the hunt club. There's a turtle which is rare game, you can steal scarletit from him and zone out and return to Balfonhem and repeat again. I find, this way is much easier then killing the turtle in The deadland.

its possible an item is used in a previous recipe , even if u farm all the pieces of the set and sell them together this dose not garente the item u want every time. it can simply b bad luck of the items being used for some other trash how ever u should only need to replace that missing item , u just carnt tell wut the fuk it is without a complete list of what u have sold and used in bazar recipes so far

This weapon is a pain to acquire. Ragnarok and Excalibur are good enough for me.
It would be a lot easier and accessible to steal a soul powder from Vorres at the Necrohol of Nabudis instead of getting the Soul Powders so late in the game. It's going to be awhile before I can even gain access to Zodiarks area and you can go to the Necrohol when you are finally able to go to the Salikawood. You can steal a High Arcana from Addrammalech just don't kill him, and you can get a High Arcana from a Rare Game called Etherian but you need to have the Canopic Jar to get the 5% drop and you have to kill all the enemies in Cerobi Steppe at the Northsward area in order for it to spawn. A little sidenote for people that didn't know, Vorres is a Trophy Game, so if you kill it it will not respawn again, so best not to do that when you are confronted by him in the Necrohol.

Sometimes I can never hear what you're saying in your videos cause it's your mic is so low and sometimes you think it's too loud and you turn your mic down. you should keep it up because people can always turn the volume down to where they want it but we can only tun it up to a certain point. this video has been the hardest to hear yet. just a tip =)

Tried to get seitengrat, used a lot of time and fsiled. Okay great tango then, oh NRG again. Next okay zodiac spear, oh need to kill Zodiark first and have other henne mines access. Okay tournesol then, oh need henne mines other access too... 🤣🤡
Wow thats alot you have to do, not cool. With all that you'd think it be the strongest weapon in the game. Imma just stick with seitengrat and trango. Im good, I don't want it anymore. Great video though!

Besides the FF mmo 12 is by far the best FF since 7 imo. 13 was complete weeb crap and 15 doubled down and basically shit weeb nonsense everywhere.
