  • I was unaware of this Syngonium until I saw it from the Potted Elephant, and I have to say that it's quite the grower! I'm highlighting it today in the 148th spot of "365 Days of Plants".
The planter is made it Italy and I purchased it from Sprout Home.
I'll be touching upon where this plant is native to, how it grows, where I'm growing mine in my home, and other basic care tips.
You can check out more of these videos here and on my IGTV @homesteadbrooklyn.
    Featured plant:
    Syngonium chiapense

I've had a few of these for about 20 years. They came from a cutting I acquired while working as a zookeeper. The original plant thrived near a 40-foot waterfall and measured close to that. They are one of my favorite plants-- incredibly hardy and definitely likes water.

I just acquired one from the PlantExpo and mine has very intricate markings on the leaves. It is a hearty looking plant very different than other Syngoniums I find the leaf a lot thicker on this plant.💚👀

Just got two nodes a week ago. I’m hoping they grow as quickly as other syngonium because I do love the leaves.

I just got this one, and the leaves are thicker and more developed, making it JUST delicious. I actually did not know what it was, but the beautiful insta community knew, and ended up trying to grow it up a rough "plant ladder" of sorts on my balcony

Woah! I love how succulent the leaves are compared to the Syngonium I typically see at plant shops, so cool :) I really like this one.

I'm mostly into growing plants that are strictly utilitarian in purpose (like veggies and ganja), however maybe I'll discover something totally cool and different on your videos that maybe I'll grow as something of a curiosity piece that would be cool to look at around the house.

Nothing distinct about the leaves now, but I wonder what form that maturation, or ideal conditions (eg. light levels, humidity, climbing structure) could bring on...?

Zaeem Malik Arain some of the leaves on mine have prominent veins as well and others don’t. Not entirely sure why. I just hope it’s not some sort of nutrient deficiency.
