This was one of my favorite sketches from that weird transition period where most of the cast was new and everyone was complaining about how all the good cast members had left. It was before Will Farrell had proven himself and the third great era of the show. I thought this sketch was going to be lost and only those who saw it at the time would remember it. My friends and I would do Goodman doing De Niro. He nailed it. I wish his Wilford Brimley was online, one of his funniest bits.

    • @axelkyster2642

Well...not exactly. This was the FOURTH great era of the show...Original Cast....brief "comedy stars" period with Crystal, Short, and Guest....and then the Hartman, Carvey, Hooks + young bad boys era.... AND...the only true "good" CMs to leave after the 94-95 season were Sandler and Farley... And finally....Will Ferrell (correct spelling) PROVED HIMSELF IN EPISODE 1 of the 95-96 season. He, along with Cheri Oteri, Hammond, and Breuer (and Molly, held over from the previous season were already killing it LONG before this sketch aired in March of 1996...
