Mel Gibson's impersonation, however, is terrible. The guy was born in New york, so what's with the pseudo-british accent? He's an australian resident, but he doesn't sound like that at all.
This sketch is a whole lesson in timing. When David Spade says "Did I offend him?" and Baldwin remembers to wait a moment till he asks again, that's masterclass.
