I used to be bullied and alone and I understand what's it like to be on this point of view. The feeling of loneliest and despair was actually inhumane. There was this one time when i got bullied for 2 straight years in highschool. Everyday is just go to school, study, get mocked, go home, cry, sleep and repeat. Nobody ever asked how I'm feeling and it's just feels like that I'm the most worthless crap ever existed on this planet. I kept this feeling for myself because no one even in my household at the time gave a shit, so i just muster the feeling up in my head, And that feeling of despair, slowly changes into a feeling of anger and rage. Then used to list names of everyone who bullied me on a paper which i called "target/kill" list so i could just do harm to them if the chance ever comes. But then, someone from my school approached me. He was like the first person in that school who actually shows genuine interest in me. He did many random simple act of kindness towards me like inviting me to sit with him at lunch, play games with me, and many more things! Suddenly this rage and anger that i muster faded, just because someone gave a shit towards me... So what I'm trying to say is, please be kind to others, you may not know or care about what you just did, but it could mean the world to that person 🙏🏼
I think "Evan" was more effective, personally. Outside of doing what other commenters have already stated and off-handedly implying 'loners = shooters' it really can't be stressed enough that shooters usually aren't bullied. "Evan" had one bg scene which implied the shooter was also being harassed by students, but overall everything you see of him after the reveal makes it clear that he himself was a bully regardless of if he thinks he is or cares. This kind of feels like more of a drama into the mind of a shooter and one that could accidentally justify these actions to potential shooters out there. 100% for gun control in this awful country, but, like all PSAs, there are just some that are gonna miss the mark.
Youre speakin facts man. i was falsely accused of planning a shooting by two other students. i got into an argument with a guy and him and his girlfriend told the school cop that i told them i was going to do it. Keep in mind im a little out there looking, because Im a big fan of metal music and the culture. Because of that the school administration profiled me and always thought i was going to hurt myself or others. They tried to charge me with a felony with no evidence but after two separate hours long interrogations they finally believed me. Other people who were there when they claimed i made the threat stood up and confirmed i had never said that. They were all good friends of mine from my photography class and i still appreciate that they were jumping at the chance to clear my name. I cant help but feel the image of the kid in all black whos a little different is constantly portrayed as a school shooter, and is one of the reasons this incident happened the way it did. sorry for the long ass reply lmaoooo

to be fair, that's a stupid sign. Like i agree, you shouldn't have that shit in your school locker, but having an interest in guns doesn't make you a school shooter or a violent murderer. Its an annoying stigma a lot of these PSA's make. Where having guns or posting pics of them automatically means you wanna kill people, some people just like guns and are interested in them.

Nathan Vargas It was either because it was in walking distance from his house and he just needed to kill people, or because he was going after the teachers who wouldn’t help him when he went there as a little kid. You know I had people thinking I was going to be a school shooter. Instead of realizing I needed help and was in a very abusive home I was labeled and treated as such. People tended to avoid me or just pretend we were friends. Maybe instead of thinking “this kid is a potential problem” start thinking “how can I help this kid”. Because honestly labeling just makes it worse, I wasn’t even thinking about violence towards others (just myself) until I hear someone say it. Then im angry and confused, thankfully not the path I went down. Imagine what would have happened if my teachers or peers actually thought of helping instead of labeling.
I’m really sorry the people around you failed you… when I was in high school there was kids like idk who seemed different but I loved that about them I was so intrigued and always went out of my way to ask them things or joke around with them or show them my drawings etc any given chance. If you were at my school promise we would’ve been friends ❤
I'm actually one of those lonely peeps out here and sometimes i feel such intense rage and envy for people that i fully understand the anger and need to make people feel my pain. That being said, it's not their fault. Everyone has their struggles and as much as i wish pain on all of them, I'm picking the fight with the wrong thing. Besides I'm too soft for that lol, I'd cry before even picking up a gun
May God provide you with comfort God loves you and sent His only begotten so to die for you so you may live forever and he rose again may you live a happy life
It’s hard for a lot of people in highschool, even the popular kids. Try to remember that the people you are envying are probably going through stuff too. Also maybe try talking to a therapist or something. And do some clubs, make some friends if you can. There are jerks in HS but there are also kind people too. I lived off of football and the weightroom and I found tons of friends there
Good day good sir same here tip from me on how to fight that rage 1 don't overthink some dumbassed words 2 listen to music whatever kind you like to help yourself calm down and 3 personal favorite coffee ... like a LOT of coffee these might help also wherever someone says something rude analyse their behavior and how they act don't take it too close because if that person peeks on those who can't reply to him he or she is a coward and if they dare to go physical there is a police and you can also get a taser

I really hate how school shooters put such a bad name on quiet people. Like you can't be yourself without someone thinking you're a potential school shooter just cuz you're the quiet kid that enjoys just hanging out with yourself.
same thing with people that like guns. im also kinda quiet myself when around people i dont feel comfortable around. but it's hard to show interest in this hobby since people may think you're weird. luckily im not white so people are more likely to think that im some drug dealer, so thats fine.
I get the “quiet guy” stereotype isn’t ok but I think it’s the quiet unnoticed person combined with the fact no one noticed the very obvious signs someone was starting to get a violent headspace. The locker with the violent imagery, the Facebook comments, the vandilized poster with “dead man”. And the bullying, the guy wasn’t just a quiet kid he was shoved, ignored, and insulted by several peers.
Not every loner will turn into this, but this has been the case on quite a few occasions. Schools don’t do enough when it comes to bullied students. And in no way am I condoning these actions, but one of the many reasons violence occurs is due to being bullied or being a bully
Right lol, no one bullies like that anymore, at least boys don't. Videos like this are a joke to teens cuz they're so inaccurate lmao one takes them seriously. The face thing is kind of accurate though, but I've never ever seen someone be called a name like that, unless it's an actual fight where it's evenly matched.
Most of the times, like this PSA, bullied always hurt your emotions, then, when the victim actually does something, the bully becomes the victim. What a society we live in.
The whole point of this video isn’t to demonize quiet kids or loner types. The point is that your actions - Bullying - can have dire consequences. It isn’t telling you to side eye and suspect the quiet kid - it’s telling you to stop being assholes to them.
You know when you squeeze a chip bag really hard it makes a loud pop? In my freshman year at high school, I was in the cafeteria with my best friend when somebody accidentally did that to a chip bag. But everyone else froze and some people started to duck and me and my friend both knew that everyone was convinced that the bag bursting was a gun shot. It’s depressing that this is what we assume at first now.
That happened in my school, though not that extreme. *Pop!* Lady at front of cafeteria: "Oh, come on. We don't need to hear those kinds of noises in... _these times."_
When I was younger and a kid used to pop a chip bag, teachers around would be so serious about it. I didn’t know why but now that I’m older it’s so sad that they have to get mad about popping a chip bag because they think it’s a shooter.
I'm a puiet person and at the end of my school l reached for my bookbag and everyone screamed in fear and thrown things at me.I never cried so much before
Quiet people aren’t the problem. Instead of stalking the quiet kid in class, you should look at people who have a reason to hate eg. classmates, society and people etc
No joke on this one it really shows the pain in his voice with the "LOOK AT ME!" you can hear his anger and sadness and all his feelings in one line of words.
The thing is that he isnt even that bullied ? He’s more of a loner than really bullied....plus it would just give a bad image of bullied kids....and it’s not what this psa is about anyways
As a good martial arts master once said to his student: “Don’t focus on the distraction (fists), focus on the problem (opponent)” Focus on being kind to others and preventing this type of tragedy, not surviving a school shooting when it happens. Always be skeptical when you see a sign, its not hard to find.
My friend is a great person, but he was bullied because everyone thought he was a potential school shooter and all because he's quiet and likes history. It got to the point where he had to drop out. What's worse is that the bullying mainly came from school staff.
I’m sorry to hear that about him He must have been so lucky to have you as a friend. if you don’t mind me asking, how did the bullying come from his staff
As much as I sympathize with organizations like this, this I think is a really irresponsible message to be putting out. Telling everyone to "be on the lookout" for a school shooter only heightens the feelings of paranoia and distrust that tend to result in school shooters. Furthermore, it perpetuates the stereotype of the "quiet kid" as the archetypical shooter, when that isn't always the case. But making people feel more afraid of those kinds of kids will make kids more wary of socializing with them, which will drive those kids further into antisocial isolation, which can result in the creation of another school shooter. This whole PSA is all about telling kids who to be afraid of, and that's not the right message to send if we want to solve these problems. Our epidemic of gun violence goes back to a lot of things-to our culture, to our society's handling of mental illness, to our loose gun policies, and a horde of other issues. We need to be focused on solving these issues, not on ostracizing and otherizing already socially distant children who probably have enough problems in their lives as it is.
Exactly, also as someone who was the lonely quiet kid who was bullied, I never thought about harming my classmates? It kind of victim blames victims of gun violence by saying 'if they treated him nicer, he wouldn't have shot them' when.... nothing you do ever justifies that kind of behavior. Similar to rape, like dressing provocatively doesn't ever justify sexual assault. And being kind of an asshole doesn't justify murder. I've been called a freak and loser like a million times, yet I've never even hit someone for saying that, much less SHOT them.
Remember, it's as simple as inviting someone to sit with you at lunch. During middle school I always sat alone or was never really talked to, it can make you feel like trash. We're all human and have feelings, so be inclusive. Taking that first step has given me some of my best friends.

@@mydixierect528 Yeah, well if you’re short and skinny then your “words and fists” don’t mean shit. If you tell your parents, they ain’t gonna do nothing. If you tell the counselor, they ain’t gonna do nothing. A gun makes the kid equal to his bully. That is why they use it. If words and fists made them equal to their bully, then we wouldn’t have a problem with bullies. Bullies exist precisely because not everybody is equal, therefore the use of a tool to put the victim at level with his opponent becomes the obvious choice. I’m not talking about sandy hook. I’m talking about kids that shoot up their own schools because they have been treated like trash by their own classmates. People want to call these kids evil, but they’re so proud and so deluded that they fail to forget that they are equally guilty of evil by torturing a disadvantaged person. If a bully gets shot for fucking with the wrong kid, I don’t feel bad. If he shoots you the whole school, then there’s a problem, of course, but the problem is not the gun. It’s the fact that we let these narcissistic devil kids walk around actin like their shit don’t stink.

This does kinda show the typical school atmosphere that kids are faced with either in middle or high schools today. It’s up to the school systems to address these kind of issues when kids are left out of groups and ignored purposely while being mistreated by other kids to the point where they can only take so much before they say fuck it and take out that pain on other kids. This is a perfect example of showing a young man being abused by other kids in his high school whether emotionally or physically while these kids think it’s all fun and games.

This reminds me of that movie "Elephant". I watched Rabbit Hole Entrance's analysis of the movie. Basically the film tells the story of a seemingly normal high school day, from the perspective of various high school students. The audience gets to see snapshots of their lives and their school day. We see their struggles, their classmates, their romances, etc. for split seconds. But none of it matters at the end of the film, because all of them are shot dead by two of their classmates in a school shooting.
another word of advice, telling people to notice a sign of a school shooter is like asking people to find out who in their school wants to be a ventriloquist, point is, people just want to live their own lives minding their own shit, no ones gonna go around watching out for "signs" there's memes about the "quiet kid" but those are just memes and an introverted kid. with that said, I did notice the signs in the beginning, the bald guy opening a locker with some stickers and that instagram post of "you're gonna regret tomorrow" or whatever it said
it's not the guns or the signs, it's the way the world treats people like them, and the way the world reacts as demonstrated by this video having being uploaded

So what I'm trying to say is, please be kind to others, you may not know or care about what you just did, but it could mean the world to that person 🙏🏼
lets just be glad you DIDNT shoot up a school..

As a good martial arts master once said to his student: “Don’t focus on the distraction (fists), focus on the problem (opponent)”
Focus on being kind to others and preventing this type of tragedy, not surviving a school shooting when it happens. Always be skeptical when you see a sign, its not hard to find.
The people who make this kind of shit are bullies themselves so that is unlikely to happen.

I mean tbh (I know not every school/student does this) people bring duffel bags to school mostly either people in sports or people who sell snacks at school
I mean it makes sense. The last thing on your mind would be a gun. Everyone probably thought it was just a bunch of sports equipment
Like the locker full of gun pics next to the campaign sign with all the death threats. "Like lol he's so goth"
People can bring duffel bags if they want. Several kids in my school use them.
Not gonna lie I was listening to pumped up kids and now everyone is my friend, weird????
Hey there buddy having a nice day? Hahaha okay yeah man stay safe 😅
Yeah man that’s weird isn’t it?
Me when I see a kid with a duffel bag at school now: ummmmmmm imma walk the other way....
Pull out a prop gun and say "Hey! I'm on your side! Teamwork makes dreamwork, eh?"
As much as I appreciate what this is trying to say - it’s not our fucking job as kids to judge whether or not our class mates are capable of coming to school one day and murdering us. Of course it’s important to be nice to people, but you can be sweet as can be and someone can still decide to put a bullet in you. Not to mention some of the shooters of the largest atrocities weren’t even students. I just think it’s high time we stopped putting the pressure on LITERAL CHILDREN to stop massacres when people much more capable with a lot more power and influence do nothing.
"Tomorrow you'll all be sorry". Computer screen : 00:47
Yeah ... and at 0:32, you hear the shooter chuckle when the one guy got angry about somebody writing "Dead Man" on his poster.
It shows how he was the one who had wrote it and that he literally wanted the guy to be dead.
He was also being bullied or ignored in practically every frame.
Also see his locket
Elena good eye.
Thank you! I couldn't catch what it said but I knew it said something
Kid: *has a sticker of a gun, a noose, and cross bones on the inside of his locker*
Staff: understandable, have a nice day
Sadly here in Alabama this would probably just be written off as “kid likes huntin🤠”
Can’t really say anything it’s not like it’s elementary or middle school
To be fair, they probably thought he was just emo.
Dudes locker looks like it’s straight outta Splatoon 3
this may be completely unrealistic, but I can definitely relate to this kid
I like how when you re-watch the ad you notice little things about how people reacted to ‘you’
It’s a good PSA it’s just, when Sandy Hook happened he wasn’t even in school, he was legitimately crazy
Sandy hook is not the only shooting. The sandy hook promise is to end school shootings as a whole, not just there.
That and he murdered his mother to obtain the firearms he used. It's not like he just strolled down to his local FFL and filled out a 4473(mandatory NICS instant background check)
No joke but when I saw him looking himself at the glass, my mind just went cod; "Remember...No Russian...". Even weirder, i had my PS4 Controller at my hand...
Lolll I thought the sameeeeeee
@Iam Autspec nah
@Iam Autspec yes, but in an ok kind of way.

I’m late to this I know but when I was in middle school I was dealing with constant abuse from my personal life and school life, my grades were slipping, I had so many near mental breaks and I had just gotten diagnosed with depression. My science teacher in front of the whole class told me that I was the prime suspect for being a school shooter, because I was quiet, depressed, and getting harassed
Why would they say that in front of the whole class, that could make your situation with being harassed worse

You sound like a bitch, but maybe it’s supposed to play into that “ignore the outcast kid” vibe, which is probably why he said “look at me”

@Extrajimmiesonmyicecreamcone is right. I looked it up.
From wikepedia: When police interviewed survivors, a teacher recalled hearing Lanza curse several times, as well as say such things as, "Look at me!" and "Come over here!" and "Look at them!"
"Look at me!" That one hit really hard. If anyone ever "looked at" such developping psycho the right way at the right time... Such tragedies could be avoided....

@@chlorophyll6154 lol true 🤣
This does kinda show the typical school atmosphere that kids are faced with either in middle or high schools today. It’s up to the school systems to address these kind of issues when kids are left out of groups and ignored purposely while being mistreated by other kids to the point where they can only take so much before they say fuck it and take out that pain on other kids. This is a perfect example of showing a young man being abused by other kids in his high school whether emotionally or physically while these kids think it’s all fun and games.
I hate how that girl is getting ignored about her wanting friends. I’m the type of person who would try to be friends, but y’know how it is. I’m socially awkward until I’m not, I don’t have a good reputation, ect. Thinks I can’t control.
You got insta bro? We can talk if you like
Which girl?
huh
In the end, I think the only way to prevent anything like this happening again is to treat people with kindness and not be mean to anyone.
Yeah exactly but yeah another issue is there are fake people because they don't want to be involved with there freinds or lives just because they are outcast you dont know how much it could change them too imagine having noone text you noone to hangout with
I had soo many fake nice people leave me on read never wanted to actually be freinds and dip on me last minute because are gen is soo narccistic now with social media and everything
Ventilating active threats tends to help.
and also to be strict when it comes to guns
Wow didn't believe it was so easy
Any kid out there who is bullied, I was bullied relentlessly. Cruelly. Even by teachers, in front of the class. It was bad and I wanted to die. But..now I just had my 27th birthday, I can’t even remember those peoples names. Occasionally I’ll come across one on Facebook and see that they got arrested for meth possession, or domestic violence, or their dad got caught in a money laundering scheme. But I don’t remember most of their names. They wouldn’t have been worth throwing my life away for. And they sure as fuck weren’t worth me harming myself or innocent people over.
I’m 13 and the kids in my class bullies me so much, I almost brought a knife to school, not proud of it but it’s rlly bad to bully people, yikes

You never realize how much pain you feel as the quiet kid until you see how society portrays you sometimes it’s not really like this sometimes you just can’t trust everyone and don’t want drama other time you are sick of he insults and being ignored by everyone but there’s better ways to deal with it once you realize there’s freedom soon but sometimes you can find someone else with that same alone feeling like you
I truly feel for the one that are alone at school and deal with abuse at home I hope all of you lonely lost souls make a future one day where you happy because as one of one those lost souls I wanna stand out one day even if it’s just to one person I would be happy
The way he laughed when the kid tore down the poster..
i was expecting it to be the girl with the yellow fluffy hair because of how many times she was onscreen but then i realised it was _MMEEEE_
I'm really happy that you're forcing people to pay attention. This could be any one of us.
no one bullies like this anymore, its usually done online now or you get ignored by people
I need to know what was happening with the girl voting for her ex boyfriend like SPILL THE TEA

That’s…useless
@@tetrofita1787 how did you not get that
@@tetrofita1787 that’s the godamm point

another word of advice, telling people to notice a sign of a school shooter is like asking people to find out who in their school wants to be a ventriloquist, point is, people just want to live their own lives minding their own shit, no ones gonna go around watching out for "signs"
there's memes about the "quiet kid" but those are just memes and an introverted kid.
with that said, I did notice the signs in the beginning, the bald guy opening a locker with some stickers and that instagram post of "you're gonna regret tomorrow" or whatever it said
i love how in the end when he goes into the auditorium with captions on, it says "look at my" and then says "applause" XD
This COD cutscene looks so realistic.
Elon, remember, no Russian
remember, no student
it's not the guns or the signs, it's the way the world treats people like them, and the way the world reacts as demonstrated by this video having being uploaded
@Eric Nash you very much completely missed the point of what i was trying to say, congratulations, now i will wait for a gun control argument or some dumb shit

Who also noticed that when the boy yelled out "Someone wrote Deadman on my poster" the shooter chucked in an evil way. On the computer it also says "tomorrow you will all pay"

Once this kid at my school just hated me for no reason and he had a rough background. One of my friends was friends with him however. yea, she wasn't a good friend to say the least, but she may have saved my life. She told one of my other friends that this kid had said to her, "Does your dad have any shotguns? i want to shoot that weirdo soon." When she told my other friend that my friend told one of the teachers and the teacher took that kid to the principles office. He got expelled. My school ensured they would keep a better eye on situations like this, just because it spooked me like it would anyone else.
