Here’s the thing. The school flags the wrong things as “suspicious.” I remember police showing up at my school and interrogating me for hours and hours on end over a simple misunderstanding, yet people somehow slip through the cracks and commit actual violence.
What was the misunderstanding?

It's obvious that you weren't gonna cause harm. I'll throw this away for now, but here's a card with the file number, you can pick it up from the station within a month."

When i was a kid my parents taught me to try to make friends with everyone in school no matter how odd or weird they were because you never know how someone is until you get to know them. It lead me to make friends with all sorts of kids. One i particularly came to know was a chap a lot like evan. Cheery, outspoken. A real clean cut kid. But as i got to know him i started to notice why always wore long sleeves. The self harm scars, the dried blood in his nose. The puffy eyes early in the morning. It came as a surprise to all of us that he was the one that got stopped by school security near graduation with a bag full of knives a gun and a homemade pipe bomb. I guess even a nice guy like him had his demons. Im grateful then that my school didnt discriminate back then and was observant of every student. Its not always gonna be the gloomy quiet kid being picked on in plain sight.
Im sorry you had to experience that.

I don't like these because they are honestly making it seem like the students are 100% responsible for preventing gun violence.
When the adults can't fix the economy or mental health, who is left to pass the buck to except the same students who'll be killed if they fail? I honestly wonder how I would’ve turned out if I was really bullied in high school. I was a “quite kid” that had always minded my own business. During lunch, I’d go to the library and use my phone or do my homework. I didn’t have my lunch period with anybody I knew so I would sit by myself while everybody else were laughing and socializing with their friends. I’d only socialize with someone if they started the conversation first or if I knew them. I’d go to school by myself and usually went home with a few classmates that took the same route. I didn’t really fit in with anyone. Almost everybody I knew would do the most trendiest high school things like smoking vapes and getting high and drunk while skipping classes and doing other stuff. I tried doing that (except for drinking) a few times but I just didn’t like it that much. Even though I was lonely throughout high school for like 75% of my time, I never got bullied that hard. Some people cracked a few jokes about me. But I’d always get them back and we’d be cool afterwards. My school was overall a pretty bad one. The guidance counselors weren’t that good and the principal was very shady. He let failing seniors pass and graduate by making them do a online class or whatever. He eventually got fired for that in 2019. I hope schools can start being more aware and try to help out students with depression or who get excessively bullied because someone at school would be one insult away from raining bullets on everyone the next day.

The one where he was legit just pointing a gun at the camera on his social media was a dead giveaway. I didn't notice all the signs at all, but that one definitely grabbed my attention.
We can’t stop what happened, only what will happen if nothing’s done. Everyone needs to be there for each other. School faculty need to step in and stand up for others. Parents need to be more compassionate and understanding. There needs to be more support groups for both the bullies and the bullied. In no way is it Evan’s fault for what happened to him. He’s just a student.
Also, he could just be a boy that likes guns who is also bullied. That’s normal for a lot of people. Unfortunately, what is also normal is adults who dismiss children and that’s why this unforgivable crime happens.

IkusaTakuma when I was in school I used to hear people joke about someone saying they'd shoot up the school or They themselves joked about shooting up the school and everyone always took it as a joke. Luckily nothing ever happened but stuff like that shouldn't be joked about anymore. And should always be reported no matter what.

im usually the quiet type at school but this- this I would never consider doing

It's rare that someone will post something that obvious on social media and with any of the other signs, I feel like the school would just brush off. Is this video meant for administrators rather than students? I would love to prevent something like this but I don't have the authority to stop them unless there is clear evidence.
@Akire Mep I don't think, nobody goes to the supposed quiet kid that looks like he's going into something to make a relationship, even if they knew it was very possible. People just ignore that, they want to keep going with they're lives. Let's do an example, you're a turtle and there's a small but lethal cocodrile, would you go to try and make a relationship? It just doesn't work that way. They're with you 'cause they're ur friends.

People are only consumed with themselves a lot of the time. Most aren’t aware of their surroundings. Especially when he was quickly scrolling through and that kid with the gun seemed like a loner who would of gone unnoticed.
Happened in my school. Only not a gun, but a knife. She was looking for a certain kid, but he was the only one who got genuinely scared (because he knew her and knew she hated him) and skipped school that day. Still, a teacher got stabbed in his back.

The fact that we go to school actually not knowing when or what is going to happen is just unnerving. Today I saw a group of girls that were a big help to me when it was my first day and I saw them get pulled out of the girls bathroom by a staff for trying to light one of the stalls on fire. Sometimes it's best to look closer than just ignoring the fact that someone doesn't look well.

that's not the point. the kid was bullied, showed signs of planning a shooting and obviously didn't like the students. i'm also the quiet kid, but you're completely missing the point of the video. if you see something suspicious, you should tell someone. you could save so many lives, including your own.
