Well done and thanks for sharing your experience.. it’s good to see an honest impression of how bass fishing can be at times ! Hope the fishing picks up.. tight lines and safe fishing all ! 🎣😊👍
I hope that was the North East of England and not South West Scotland. It's hard going this year, probably the least fish around since i started on the lures but you should have had at least a few putting that time in, in Scotland. Don't think i've seen a single local out yet. The only places i am seeing netted this year are a two marks that you know and i have seen you fishing with Nathan, there are more fish west and east of them but you need to be on specific bits no matter what stretch you are on, it's not like a few years ago when you could pick up the odd one or two and usually a better one just by putting your head down and covering ground. Good effort and nice to see the cod.
Great video again David. In the words of the late Roy Castle...dedications what ya need. Take it easy on those rocks. It's a stark reminder when you take a tumble. All the best.
@@northeastangling cheers much appreciated. Aye not ideal and definitely gives a reminder about being careful. Thanks for watching and tight lines 🙋♂️
That is one tough old time you have been through David. Glad to see you are still smiling at the end of it, there`s not many anglers who would have carried on fishing after a fall like that as well as smashing some of your video equipment. Best of luck for your next lure session.
Great video Dave, no one can say you don't put the effort in, but you finally got a codling and bass, yes the weed is horrible stuff when your feet go and you go a clatter, but looks like no permanent damage, keep up the good work, tight lines.
Crikey, the dangers of fishing. Funnily enough I did the exact same thing on Tuesday night, except I banged my knee. Going around at night without a light on was not my smartest move. At least I had a few to cheer me up for persevering after, especially on another tricky year it seems. As if to follow your lead on the mishaps, I also broke my tip guide. However, I replaced mine and did it myself with a new, smaller K-WAG. The finish isn’t the best, but the rod feels a darn sight better and I now get far fewer tip wraps. Hopefully you get the same positive effect I got. Nice job with the codling and keep trying for those bass! Cheers
Been a slow season this year. This time last year my tally was nearly into double figures, this year I’ve still yet to hit a fish. Hope you’re recovering after your fall mate. Watch what you’re doing
Unlucky david on the silver bar but nice to see a codling on the lure always take care but yano the craic and how slippy it it is out on them rocks av just been treating mesel to a lure setup a went with savage gear rod 9" 10-50 paired with shimano sedona c3000hg so cant wait to get stuck in to that am sick of bait fishing for summer cod atm a think its realy hard atm so went over to HMB last night had a few hounds out between us and a had a small tope pup witch was nice to see anyways hope your ok with your little fall you had take care buddy👌🏻👍🏻🎣

Hey buddy,, I was out last winter for a session with a mate up and down a couple of cliffs and huge boulder fields on the second mark it was so black and dark I had walked past my mark but quickly realised and got my self up on it my mate was mibby 40 meters behind me and our head torches were starting to dim as we pushed to get on the unplanned second mark anyway as I stood up shouting and showing my mate the mark and what route to take as I watched him scrambling over he jumped from about 1 foot on to a innocent looking puddle and I see him disappear on landing it was a 2 foot by 2 foot puddle but ended up 7 foot deep and the hassle of getting down to him and dragging him out in a bad way middle of nowhere in a boulder field with bus sized jagged rocks and a cliff to get up , fortunately I got him moving and stupidly we even had a couple of casts and I could see he was smashed to bits so we called it and drove the 90 mile home with a few cod ,, but I think Craig got the fright of his life that night,, but all is well that ends well so they say 😂👍 cheers buddy

Massive fan of your video's Time for you to try the "Bombarda method" mate. Seriously, it's a game changer, particularly in shallow venues where you can fish the lure slow and erratic instead of quick retrieves to avoid the inevitable snags... I guarantee it will massively improve your catch rates 😊
I particularly love the bombarda method using streamer type lures. On a floating bombarda you can allow them to flutter down through the water slowly with the occasional jerk forward. A nice gentle way to fish without constantly casting and retrieving...
