  • Decided to give a bit of Lure fishing a go
    So as the water clarity is still milky in Eastbourne I decided to head over to Brighton.
    A good fun session and cant wait for the next trip.

    Awesome again Jason, live prawn is the best bait 4 bass ( take the kids pawning ) float fish 4 garfish great fun on light gear .Happy catching from Australia Nick

    The good old trusty Seeker. Great video. Unlucky on those garfish. They have hard mouths and sometimes hard to set the hook. I use singles on my seekers, Trebles on my Patchinko and sub surface hard lures and singles on all my soft plastics.
    I have been having some amazing sessions at my mark just east of you. The Savage Gear Weedless Sandeel V2 in white has been killing it. Best so far 6lb and 5lb with a fair few around 3-4lb mark. The 6lb i had was out on the reef at low water. I normally only fish 2 hours up and 2 -3 down.
    Would love to get together for a lure session before the end of the season :)

    I advise you do few twitches or small jerks with the metal jigs during retrieval.

    I been fishing in Shoreham last few weeks . Little jigs for Mac's and top waters for gars and bass.

    Next time you go take a mackerel and float you'll get gar fish easy using a strip of white belly

      Was amazing having a few on the lures they jump right out the water
      Awesome fish.

    Very enjoyable video. Unlucky with the garfish fella. Just out of curiosity. What IB lines would you recommend to start out with. I'm a newbie here 👍 all the help would be most grateful

      I use a 20lb fireline as mainline with a short 2ft flurocarbon leader

      Rod is a hto nebula 10-35g
      Reel penn persuit 3 4000 size

      I like to keep the fluro short at maby 1 - 2ft i like to keep the knot out of my tip eye so im only casting the braid

    Don’t care what anyone says but I really think Brighton marina fishes realllllly shit, the rock pools off the east arm are better for bass with the surface lures etc
