Thanks man I really appreciate it! And that’s so true, especially with the big swimbaits. That’s the best way to build confidence in them or any bait for that matter!
Thanks man I really appreciate it! I ordered the bubba scale after this day so I could start seeing what my best 5 would be. Bummer i didn’t already have it but I’m stoked to start using it!
Thank you bro I’m glad you enjoy them! And I really appreciate that! You definitely should bro, they’re so nice to have and don’t forget to use that link for 15% off!!
🤔 Looks like Sutton Lake in Wilmington. 😅. Hey if you are local I am too. Hit me up. Best day I had there was the rock wall and reeds in lake 5 and 6 with big glide baits.
Yesss! Damn good day on a glide. I noticed you started getting bit when you were reeling faster. If you haven’t seen bucca talk about his technique with the aquatic biologist it’s a must see! Also you have to boat flip when you’re ready! Rod them around till you’re ready if they are still feisty ready to jump and shake they are gonna shake it. Honestly you’re probably a better angler then me. But sometimes you see stuff watching footage! Keep up the good work!! 🎣 🎣
Damn that was a fun video. I gotta switch it up now and then with different techniques. Even if youbonly catch one 4 or 5 pounder its worth it. You still diggin that boat?
I think this super heavy rod is a major part of the losses.? I always try to stay in the middle of my rod ratings. A 4oz glide I’m gonna use a 3-7oz, 2-6oz or 2-8oz rod, just what has worked for me 🤷🏻♂️ and sometimes they just come off it doesn’t matter what rod, line, or hooks you use. When you get hooked on glides you learn to sing about the one that got away. Great video 👍🏻
Thanks bro I really appreciate it! And it’s a 18ft Xpress bass boat. I have a full video about it from a couple years ago on my channel if you’re interested!
When fishing big swims you need to sweep on the bite keeping the rod tip as low to the surface as possible. Once your fighting them you've got to keep the tip down and make sure they don't jump. Once they're air born they have all the leverage to throw it. I have fought fish where I am down on my knees where the reel and the rod butt are the only things out of the water. Keep'em down and you'll land more fish.
Wow I thought I was keeping it down but that’s a whole nother level 😂 I’ll have to start doing that tho for sure. The only problem is most of these were caught in about 2ft of water so I wouldn’t have much room to stick the rod down but I’m sure every bit helps. I appreciate the advice bro!
Yeah it could be. Only one came off away from the boat tho. The others came off when i was trying to flip them in and idk if the rod could really help that close in or not but im definitely going to play around with some softer rods and see if that makes a difference!
Great video as always! Love that you committed to one technique all day. Sometimes you learn the most on those days!

This is by far one of the best swimbait/glide videos I’ve ever seen. Thank you.
Boy had a sack today! Hell of an awesome day and fun to watch!

What line do you use for glide bait
Dude this channel should take off.... great vid dude
Regular handle for sure with glides, more responsive and easier to make little twitches to get em to react.
I love all the Dobyns rods. They are super lightweight and just cast like a dream.
Patience pays off.
🙌🙌🙌 it definitely does!
Wasn’t expecting that!!!

Is that Sutton????? 😂😂
I got the 7’9 and I can side cast it pretty good and I got the 8’6 and it’s a bitch to side cast 😂
Rod too stiff Jim.
