This might be old news. But I have a switch lite im messing around with. 0.08 is what you get even if there is no battery connected,. So it means its connecting is drawing power, but not actually charging.
the parental lock is easy to remove what you have to do steve is click on forgot passcode and it will generate a code then phone nintendo uk up and ask them for a master key they will ask you for the code on the switch lite and they will give you a key to reset it
I had an error code pop up on my screen I didnt know what that happened and I tried charging it and when I went back to it it was completely turned off nothing was popping up
Bought one last Christmas barwly used it. I pulled it out tonight and I turned it on and it went from 46% battery to 1% in seconds. Now it wont turn on at all.
Excuse me I accidentally poked the ribbon connector that's above the thing connected to the battery. Now my switch refuses to turn on. Is that ribbon the sole reason the switch doesn't turn on? I don't mind replacing it with a new one, but just need confirmation, as it could be something else.
That ribbon cable is for the right side buttons and also powers the back-light for the LCD screen, so if it is damaged, you will get no image on the screen. The Switch would still turn on though. I'd double check the battery connection. 👍
So when I was updating a game, I came to check and it was dead, it was charging while updating. That was 2 days ago and now it wont turn on, it's chargingg for 2 days now and it still wont turn on, pls help Edit: I was doing hard reset ehile charging, no faint light, no charging indicator, Just pitch black.
So, you get no charging symbol on the screen? Did you try a different charger? Failing that, your USB C port may be damaged, have a close look at it and see if there are any bent or missing pins. 👍
@@StezStixFix no charging icon, I dont have any extra chargers, and no bent or missing pins Edit: I was updating a game and came back to check and from there it wasnt turning on
I need help 😓 the other day i noticed my power switch wouldn't work to turn my switch off anymore, but my games played fine still. Well today i accidentally let it go all the way dead and now i can't get it turned on😓. Do you know what i can do to fix it, so it will power on again? Please help me 🥺
Hello good look I have a problem with a lite and I have tried everything with it and nothing But it surprises me that when I remove the charging cable, the home button turns on and off suddenly, I think it is the battery that does not receive a charge, any suggestions, thanks
Have you tried a different charger? Failing that, it could be the USB C port, the battery, or the battery charging chip. Hard to tell without opening it up I guess. Good luck 👍
Got my stepson one. Same thing..i just watched a video where the guy said if you plug your chord into your computer for some reason it will charge it. I havent tried yet but if anyone else has tried it please let me know
Hi, I got a broken switch lite from ebay for really cheap. The owner says it simply stopped charging. The pins where pretty messed up, but I got all back into position (2 broke off, one on the corner which I believe is one ground and the third from the left) but it still doesn't charge. Are there any diagrams of the charging circuit so I can test my way through the console to see where the problem is?
Hi Tim. I haven't seen any, but i reckon if you search round enough you might find it. I would imagine that your usb c port is damaged internally or where it is soldered to the board (they have a row of hidden pins under the port, which makes it really difficult to fault find). Have you tried the charger in both ways round? If you only have damaged pins at the top or bottom, flipping the cable can sometimes work. Hope you can fix it 👍
@@StezStixFix Thanks for the answer, only the bottom pins where bent, the top one look ok. I tried it both ways around and with my phone charger to check if it's the cable, i will search around a little if I find something.

My switch lite has died and not come back I've tried factory reset in it 3 times and tried different charging ports and chargers. Oh no! That could be a problem with the battery or the battery charging chip. Try a different charger if you haven't already, also try holding down the power button for 12 seconds to do a hard reset. Failing that, I would also try swapping out the battery if you're comfortable taking it apart. 👍
@@cloudnne_2112 Ah, ok. Then you'll most likely need a new USB C port putting in. Unless you can reshape the port somehow, and assuming you don't have any damaged pins. Good luck 👍

I feel your pain 😫. I've had several different ones, and most of them have had an issue with charging in one way or another. You might have tried already, but worth testing a USB-C charger from a mobile phone to see if it behaves any differently. 👍
Just picked a switch lite up for 20 quid girl said it wouldn't charge or turn on after buying it i noticed the charger dident go in properly turns out it was a bit off dirt and dust covering the pins all working after 5mins lol
Hello, when you plugged in (your charger) to the switch lite, the charger that made it start working, did you have it connected to an outlet or a PC or some other device?
@@The12345bamlover It'll output 5v or 15v depending on what the Switch tries to draw. But it will only definitely do this of it's a wall charger, as the USB leads are typically 5v.
You're so meek and polite in your early videos. I'm glad you loosened-up over time.
Do not feel guilty. Ask the previous owner for the parental control PIN. Ah.. you did ask in the end. Good work.
Good one Steve. Looking forward to seeing the yellow one possibly in action.
