Great playing, as always, and a fun demo to listen to. You really put it through it's paces and showed what it could do! So glad I snagged that black one from Guitar Center! Rock on Tony! 🤘
I have to admit, my opinion of the Affinity series has really elevated. Those are fun teles that sound just great. Have a good time with the black beauty brother!

I like it alot Brian. Such an awesome sounding and playing guitar. Pretty inspiring. Some guy on facebook said the pickups sound muddy. I don't even know what crazy people mean when they say that - Ha. They sound as good as the pickups on my Les Paul Studio. Give me some more mud and I'll rub it all over them!!!!

You never did a part 2 review? Are you still liking the guitar after a few months? I am on the verge of buying one of these as a little experiment in humbuckers after years of playing only single-coils. Its just so hard to believe that a $300 guitar could not feel like a piece of cheap cardboard. I happen to love my MIM Tele, so when you say it can compete with MIM it is very reassuring. Thank you for such a thorough review/demo and for some really soulful playing. PS- you have one of the most beautiful speaking voices I have heard in a long time. Just discovered your channel and will be checking out more of your demos. Cheers.👍✌
Thank you for the very kind comment. Especially it’s nice that someone likes my voice and isn’t put off by it. I may not have done an official follow up review but here’s a video where I play that guitar a good bit in some improvisation. It really is a great instrument and I love playing it. Great review! Is this guitar neck heavy? It has good balance to play standing up?
Balanced like any other telecaster. Good standing.
That intro with the reverb padding sound was really nice..What is the pedal?
I think it was just a factory preset number six on the mustang GTX 100.

Why does -almost- everyone review the one with indian laurel and not the one with maple? Can you tell me the difference between both?

Hey - I just liked the look of the metallic gray one, and that was the only option for fretboard at the time.
