Hi I'm on uc & get Same amount on same date every month even if long or short month? Is this right. I was on esa & was put on uc & lost another 60 monthly as was. But surely longer month should be more payment? Hope you can reply

@@makkahaka445 Hi this is normally correct as it should be once a month they pay you, its every 4 weeks for PIP so you get extra per yer with PIP but with UC its always the 12 monthly payments in arears usually as well if memory serves me, there have been complaints made about this before as its ripping people off with money but nobodys ever been able to prove it or win when it comes to this, its the one area the DWP have a hold over people.

@@makkahaka445 Hi there. I too was moved to U/C after ESA which was every 2 weeks. But with U/C they’re fleecing us, you’re right,,as the difference between my 1st & 2nd monthly payments are different. Bc I’d opted for every 2 weeks..(which it’s not) I’m on the 12 & 26th. There’s more than 2 weeks between the 26th & the 12th each time it’s a longer month, it’s up to 16 days later, sometimes longer. Depending on the month.. it’s unbelievable they get away with that., I know it’s only days. But when you’re paying a daily sub charge on a prepayment gas meter, every pound for every day adds up.. And I refused an online account. Bc I cannot get WI-FI at my address & have to rely on mobile data, so I’m on a telephone claim & sent paper statements, rather than having the trauma I’ve heard others talk off, with their “online journals” So I go into my local Jobcenter & these guys, luckily are rlly good, nice folks. Which makes a change. So yeah you’ve opened my eyes to that as I’d often questioned it. So I’m gonna enquire about all those non paid days & why is there a gap!! (No way could I budget for a whole month..) i know others who get paid monthly & by most 3rd week they’re struggling just to buy basics..THE WHOLE SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE UPGRADED & it’s completely wrong the way they employ folks who don’t care about poverty.. (Esp, sick. Like myself & daughter.Or pensioners like my mum,also very sick) Take Care of yourself 🤍
@@DynamicDuoUK Hi there, guys. Yeah, my mum, daughter & myself are all also on PIP. BUT Recently I’ve been sent a letter that from June 2024 that will be taken over by the Scottish Govt. Bc we live in Scottish Borders. I’m worried before each 2-3 assessment, even though since my last 1 I’d told them I’d been given new diagnosis for extended mental health problems. I’m also on it for physical probs. But I’m terrified in the event of it being reduced as poor folks we rely on every penny. None of us can ever save, esp now with the rise in living costs. I’m just worried constantly about running short..It’s not geared up to help us folks. I really pity anyone out there on JSA 🤍 Thanks for your videos. I had to go to job centre last week. At the door - going in - security staff took my bottle of water off me - said im not allowed to take it in!!!
I demanded i will have my water - im on high risk chemotherapy ffs - it was a disgrace!!! As i was called over to the desk i had to sit down and was told NOT to put my bottle of water on the desk!!!!
I was told it had to go on the floor next to me!!!
Im severely disabled - i was disgusted by the way i was treated WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE!!

I was once made to work with a broken leg , they said I couldn't claim sickness ,I'd paid my stamps all my life I was a former nurse. I got arthiritus, I think it was 96 I had a breakdown ,I was in a bad place , I could never get myself together , I'll cut a long storey short , a consultant said I had got PTSD ,but when universal credit was brought in , the stunts , I lost my benefits in assesments,like you say ,they overwrite previous awards, I got ten tumours in my neck, my arthritis hip constant ear infection, they made me attend after a operation , I at to do charity work to get them off my back ,I've lost over a £1,000 in housing benefits , it's a chronic system , needs changing , but it won't be , keep up the good work 🙌

I’m a welfare rights advisor and to be honest, this isn’t an automatic entitlement under UC or HB. You normally have to ask for it. You would normally say you needs room for an overnight carer if you live alone or separate rooms if you’re a couple. HB will actually ask for the name and address of the person who stays overnight whereas UC will normally allow the additional room without additional info. This only applies if you have the daily living PIP or DLA mid or high care. You can also get separate rooms for your children if one child gets DLA mud/high care. All of these will increase your entitlement if you’re either affected by the bedroom tax or LHA. They tend to ask people now who make new claims. There’s a whole lot of money people probably miss out on under UC because they don’t know how to get the additional elements. Don’t get me wrong, some people at UC have no idea about the regulations.

Indeed. I'm still on legacy ESA and, after doing an online benefit check, I found out I could be £112 a month better off on UC but I worry about moving to it. Better the Devil you know ... etc.
The government is saving money to pay for the bloody boat people for them to have a nice hotels and 3 meals aday😮
I am not actually shocked with this comment, its a well known fact that out of every 10 people who claim U.C. 6 are under paid 1 is over paid and 3 are paid whats legally right. When i was having help from the Welfare rights people when U.C. first came out i was told a shocking fact that under the new system YOU have to ask for the various fees you are entitled to, IF you did not then the people at the DWP dont pay these payments be it housing or a variety of others. The old system meant the DWP paid these things automatically when you filled in the forms but as we see on this podcast they have underpaid and knowingly done so for years. And to think they want to hammer us with new regulations in March, no shame

The system before made it that all info was put in and it updated automatically to what benefits you were entitled to but this new system means unless you ASK for what your entitled to they WILL NOT pay you and will continue to pay you less knowing they are in the wrong. Well what's the point in them giving you advisers, surely that by them withholding such information, they are failing in the job description.
The point is they dont refuse you the cash you just have to know its there and to ask for it with this system. This is why there was a scathing report saying that 6 out of 10 people on U.C. are underpaid because if you dont know to ask they will happily sit there and say nothing which is cynical as fuck. The old system it was automatically paid in the new so called fairer system they happily sit there and say nothing knowing your due more cash than you should be. I would never have known that if my welfare rights officer had not stated to me over a 12p/w payment i was due but did not know about until she said about this and she claimed it for me. Election cannot come soon enough

I have recorded an interview with me my wife and an interviewer and when I got a written copy of my interview from them with decisions makers remarks referring to the interview they denied my wife was there helping me answer questions and changed my answers, but when I pulled them on it and said I have a recording of the interview and they are lying they accused me of digitally altering the recording in my favour so where do you go from there. ????!!🤬

Ask if they have a recording of the conversation
That's their standard response.
Ask them what evidence they have if that claim, as it would constitute fraud if that was the case.
Write them a notice putting the above in it, remind them they are public servants and have a duty of care to you, they also cannot do anything to harm you, like make false claims that you digitally altered the recording or act negligently like not properly investigating your claims. Get the names of the head of the department to hold them to account.
Remind them of the principles of public office.

I get nothing OF these corrupted crooks. But they wanted me to send in sick note every 3 months. I asked them will l get sick money and the answer was no. Told them well your not getting anything FROM me
I have had people whos had the same situation as yourself, having to put in sick notes for 3 months at a time they should after 3 months of sick notes allow you to be asessed for LCW OR LCWRA.

It's far worse than you have reported here. I know someone who was owed many thousands,...many thousands,!!... eventually got paid after some years. Enough said.

My dad worked a short while for the previous incarnation of the DWP back in the 70s. He was told off for telling people what they were able to claim. This was years before computers arrived in the offices, so it really was a dark art. He left after 6 months because he couldn't stand working for "utter bastards". 🎉

I'm in private rent, 3 bed but live alone. Was working but had to go on benefits. They only pay £350 a month and my rents £650, apparently thats all im entitled to 🤷. So £300 behind every month
Its crazy they expect someone to survive off the £350 a month housing element when your rent can be double! they are not with the real world and then they will tell you to either get an extra job to pay for it or a cheaper house, yeh because that's a thing isn't it? lol they are not in the real world this government.

I told them what I told you and they said I should basically hand over my personal element to pay the rest of the rent. So I said I have to choose between eating or just handing that money over to my landlord. Then they said maybe look into affordable housing, so I said what like a bedsit or shared accommodation? Coz that's all I'll get for the money, plus I have a daughter who comes at weekend so where's she gonna sleep? Heartless didn't care. But this is by design otherwise it wouldn't be happening. C*NTS. Soz for the rant haha
You can claim an extra monthly payment from the Discretionary Housing payments section of your local council. You should ring up and ask them to post you the form, and then explain on the form, why the £300 of rent is causing you financial hardship. You're entitled to it even if you're on UC, because I got it when I was a private tenant, and I'm still on UC now. They don't tell you about it, because they don't want claimants to claim it, because it saves them lots of money from the budget. It can also be backdated up to the previous April, so put the previous April date on the Discretionary Payment form, where it asks you the date that you want to claim it from. The payments are discretionary, so they're not guaranteed to be made. You probably won't get the full amount, but you should get something. How much you get will mostly depend on how much money is left in the council budget.
I've been claiming benefits for 41 years, so I know what I say is true.
Also I'm in the process of going self employed and been getting grants for equipment and had to be on benefits to qualify for the grants. It's dragged it's arse for over a year now but nearly there, this is why not had a proper job
As a single person, you are only entitled to 1 bed rate LHA, sadly only thing you can do is downsize

1 MALE home Assesor FORGED my Signature so i;d Lose my Disability Car, When my Girlfriend Complained WE;LL LOOK INTO IT/12 Months later we had a Phone call saying OH SORRY Yes you are due a MotoBility car [NOTHING about the FORGED Docs] So we just took It, BUT it WAS NOT Full PIP Just Care Component and Full ESA i HAVE BEEN VERY SICK SINCE 2010 AND HAD A Car for just 3 YEARS but NOTHING has changed i;m still House-Bound. Those People are IN-HUMAN and i don;t know how they sleep.

Why is it I have paid 35 years into the state pension and the maximum number of years to get full pension credit is 35 years so why am I having to pay for another 14 years until I can retire.
i wrote to pensions when i recieved pension at 66.said they owed me a years oension as i was contracted to recieve it at 65....no reply :)
You aren't actually paying into a state pension scheme. The National Insurance contributions you pay are a coverall. State pension is paid by those in work then when you retire your pension is paid for by those in work via taxation. There is no mechanism to lower your NI once you have made 35 years of stamp.
DWP staff do these things because the system is rigged to protect them from any come-back as a result of their actions. Before the tory government got in they used to be really compassionate, but after the tories got into government I noticed that gradually changed. I noticed an increase in the amount of people I'd class as criminally minded, by that I mean the type of people that work hard to do as much harm as they can mostly within the rules of the workplace they're employed in. The more they get away with it the more they do it, if they can they work on doing worse...so long as they can they will continue. From what I've seen it looks like this has all been deliberately done by the Tories in order to weaponize poverty, for the specific reason to cause as much misery as possible.

my situation sounds just the same as this !!!Thank you i just found you and also thought this would go against us -my partner who is older than me lived in his own house with a late girlfriend -no bills paperwork clothers etc here but we were fined 10,000 for him living here as he did spend a whole week here looking after me while i was on a new perscription !!to make sure i was safe and my condition means we cant sleep together i thrash about and holucinate so hes always slep on the sofa !!!!!
And when he was at work the next day he would have the bed so i didnt wake him up as if id had a bad night i waould sit up with a cupppa then go back to sleep again on the sofa !!only when he moved in and retired has he had the sofa and me the bed !!their question to us was does he use the bedroom and we inicontly said yes and we wernt alowed to anything else !!so they had us over a barrel but as ive learnt this last few years its prob policy and not law but it cost him !!!

I'm meant to be getting over £800 but each month I get £177 and they swapped me from ESA, cut my money in half and then UC are stopping loads off me. They said I needed to swap so they can start helping me get a place to live, now I'm in temporary emergency accommodation and been here costing the tax payers over £1,000 per month along with 4 others in this house.
The immigrants who have been moved in and out to a 2 bed flat (single guy) within 5 months. UC didn't give me a 10% raise, they took me from £250 down to £177 in May last year
And now do u owe money to the Landlord? UC should be abolished under Labour
@steve00alt70 no money owed, I'm in emergency temporary accommodation as I'm homeless. I have to pay £15 per month for service charge and that's it as the government pays the rent because this is meant to be a temporary place for 6 months until they get me my own flat, but I have now been told it could take up to 5 years before I get my own flat now.
I have had a £350 loan from UC 8 months ago, but that was to be paid back over 16 months, so only taking £25 per month from me
I hope UC is abolished!!!!

Hi Guys i have got experience with DWP in both claiming benefit for myself and also being on the other side of the fence so to speak, I left the job as i saw first hand what was going on and i wanted no part of it. The software that they use is not fit for purpose and is just a total mess, It looks like an 11 year old at school wrote it, Always having to switch out windows to fill in calculators of each claimant was a messy process and errors are very easy to make, With the job being so stressful and my health going down hill i left the job. If i can offer you any insight then please post a reply thanks.

Makes me wonder whether the Software DWP use is/was the same software that the Post Office use & look at the recent scandalous mess that caused - just a thought.
THEY SCAMMED ME TWICE. PHONED UP PRETENDING ALL FREINDLY LIKE THEN SAID I WAS GOING TO BE RE ASSESED AND IT CUT MY BENIFIT WAY BACK .

I was sanctioned for 90 days, which they started after my first month on UC. Because of this push back I was still under sanction for the assessment period to get the cost of living payment of £300. Well calculated there I think, also the cold weather payment they award if the temperature is 0deg for a week is ok if you live in a modern building with double glazed windows and cavity wall insulation, I however rent a flat in a converted grade 1 listed building which has none of these and has storage heaters therefore even if its 5-10deg outside I still have difficulty getting the inside temperature above 15,16deg. Not a very well worked out system

I had numerous sanctions for missed appointments due to ill health, they knew of my health conditions as I was in the process of claiming pip, those sanctions led to my doctors diagnosed me with malnutrition, no surprise I didn't get pip, but instead they placed me on work capability benefit payment at the highest rate but only after two knock backs the decision makers get bonuses for failing people.
Its not just based on LHA its calculated also by other benefits, for example because I'm on ESA I receive an amount that takes me over the threshold for claiming the full LHA housing discount. Its mental because with each rise in ESA I qualify for less housing LHA. Last raise in ESA was just under £20 a month, but loss to LHA benefit was £60, so I now need to find an extra £20 from thin air or grow/make my own. you have to laugh, lunatics are in control.

When my partner moved in with me I lost my severe disability premium £320 a month !! I can only get that back if he claims pip ! Wth !
He could possibly claim care allowance which is over £70 per week

I'm in Scotland so UC was rolled out here quite early in its first developments.
Myself and my partner at the time in 2017 made a claim...heard nothing back at all...no entries in journal ever made by uc regarding entitlement...suddenly an email came (over 3 months later)...they'd opened our claim and closed it all within 2minutes according to our journal...we were f9rced to start a new claim again and we tried to dispute the situation but were completely ignored and it's never been sorted out.
I still have the screen shots on the journal that shows the evidence that uc failed to deal with our claim and they just closed it without assessing anything.
Incidents our 2nd claim made was successful and we eventually did receive the help we needed. I don't think we could do much now as it's been so long and also because we couldn't find anyone that could help us either.
Sorry to hear that it was really poor of the DWP, people are facing constant battles with them even in terms of refunds etc, there was also a video released on tiktok the other day of a job centre service agent racially abusing a claimant on her voicemail after she assumed she hung up! not only was she saying there all not english but she was also saying she was a scrounger and clearly earning money elsewhere, this is the sort of attitude that should not be allowed in any Job centre or DWP capacity but it's allowed daily.

I have a recording and written admission from two dwp work coaches that state they sign people as attended at an interview 8 hours before they attend, despite the interview being cancelled.
At that same interview they attempted to coerce me to join their fraud, Mark the wprk coach swore at me, and assaulted me, he was angry i was not being coerced into their lie.
I have a recording of that interview i would like to send to you.
Why when i am vulnerable did they guy frighten the life out of me so much that two large security guards from Brighton job centre has to stop the work coach from getting out of the staff room to intimidate me further ?
Let me send you the recording so you can expose this , i feel treated differently and it is hurting my mental health so much

Just been told that , after 15 years of being on higher level mobility that ive jist been put down to standard rate. I have a broken pelvis , foot drop, degenertaive discs in my spine. Arthritis in bith hips, my righ hand and my foot. They have also said that because my disabilities willnever i.orive, they have put on a 5 year review ! Any advice you can give would be so apporeciated. Otherwise i will lose my car 😢my son also gets DLA and the car is a must !
Okay so the first thing is ask for a MR and when they ask why say I've had this level of support for 15 years and I require my Motability vehicle to have my independence which is what PIP is for in the first place ... If they question it then say my vehicle is used by my carer as a named driver or something as that's allowed and not incorrect in your case, your allowed to keep the vehicle for up to 8 weeks whilst the MR is on going, if that fails you can threaten with tribunal in that case you very well may lose the car until the award is reinstated. I would also contact Motability operations tomorrow first thing and explain the situation to them, there has been instances in which they would extend longer periods to keep the car or continue paying the amount of £280 a month the higher rate to keep the vehicle on the plan until DWP reinstates or starts a new higher award.
Keep fighting them , they don't want people to know there are ways around their incompetence and ways to fight back and keep what's rightfully yours.

It could be because council tax - I am disabled and because I have equipment (and I sometimes need to sleep in a spare room ) I am entitled to a reduction in my council tax by one band .

They pull similar stunts on legacy benefits too, I am on ESA support group since Jan 2016 it was contribution based but they should have assessed me for both contribution and the income based top up as they were aware I qualified but only gave me contribution based. I did not realise about the income based top up until CAB pointed it out in july 2022. It took until Oct 2022 to get it added but they refused backpay because they wrongly classed it as a change of circumstance. I took it to MR and then the lies really started. Apparently I asked specifically for contribution based only(No I did not), then I asked for income based 2 weeks later and didn't get it because they sent a form out and didn't get it back(No form was sent, nor did they say they were sending one, what happened was I asked if I could be put on to income based for free prescriptions etc and was told no..end of conversation) I am going to tribunal

Not always ! were UC tenants with a private landlord and work and never had rent arrears, its usually the ones who have chosen a really expensive house to live in above their means or waste money on things that arent really important, controversial but true! i still feel a universal basic income will help and whichever party gets in next should look at this introduction immediately to assist in this cost of living crisis the tories created.
The government has started a trial of the universal basic income in 2022 and are paying the people trying it out £1250 a month, it was set to last for 2 years so will end this year in may.
Have you read the conditions of UBI?? They're even worse than UC. It links you with a 'social credit scoring system.'
Be careful what you wish for. UBI will come with more strings for the government to pull & more hoops to keep you jumping through.
@Tazz-Media I agree any government is about control first they make you dependent on them then they can tell you what to do and if you do not comply you they will simply punish you in the way they use sanctions now.

Hi sorry to take your time I am on stait pension because my wife is younger than me and is my full-time carer we were told to apply for UC which she tried to do she was told we had my pension so don't try claiming again or we will take you to court.
That is horrific i am sorry to hear that and you should NEVER Be threatended with court action , if they tell you to do something and you have done it then your only following their guidance, if they ever tried to take it to court the judge would laugh at them for waisting their time because that's all it would be!
Very sorry to hear what happened keep fighting them if online benefits tools such as turn2us or entitled2 ( both have calculators online ) say your entitled to a benefit then apply for it, they are accurate and 100% if you input the correct data. good luck to you both love from us ! xx
I have had untold probs with faceless people at UC... It's all Fraud 100% since 1776 ...they all work by MARITIME LAW ...LAW OF THE SEA. that's why we can never win ..in courts they us Court speak ...Maritime law . Look up WILLIAM COOPER ...he explains all bout the fraud ...and also

This is why I stayed on old school esa as I fore sore this and my money with my forms disabilitys can't be taken for eating wrong with the backing of wef which area big driving factor from this
I didn't have a choice. My esa got stopped due to an issue that wasn't my fault and I had to then claim UC. I had the medical which used to get me an extra £20 per week (now they give £30) and was told that I passed the medical so would have got the extra but on UC they don't give it any more. I'm trying to live on the 380 ish a month and cant get pip coz they say I'm not bad enough.

Potentially.... but after 3 years and claiming PIP higher rates which they knew about, it just seemed a bit suspicious to him and now they are being extremely vague and off putting when he's challenged them with potential refund back to him, its usually the complete oposite when you owe them money however ! have a good weekend! x
