Hi you wonderful pair, I just want to tell you . . . I was cut off today, after 2 minutes of the beginning of my assessment for ESA! The 'nurse' cut off the call after I told her I was going to record the assessment. She said 'you aren't allowed to record without first letting us know'. I said, 'I know my rights, and have followed procedure, and I am allowed to record '. She cut me off and ended the assessment. I had previously rang CHDA to tell them I was going to record and they told me I couldn't. They gave me the number of the assessment centre and told me to tell them. I rang the assessment centre, they told me I couldn't record. I said 'I'm allowed to buy law if I let you know in advance. She cut me off! I followed it up by ringing and ensuring that everything said was documented, she cut me off! . . . . This is the transparency and honesty of the institutions that are supposed to support us!

Hello! That's absolutely disgusting !! I've pinned this comment now to replace the previous one as this is something that is absolutely shocking!! You've followed the procedure and you're allowed to record and protect yourself by doing so, you've given plenty of time as well. Raise a complaint please online with the DWP about the process and explain you shouldn't be losing any benefit by a nurse not liking the fact you are recording. She didn't like it simply because she wanted to stuff you over basically.
This is the truth people take note !!
Will do a live show about this next week if okay ?!

I forgot to say, that I had to wait online for 45mins. They did let me know and asked if I would like to wait or rearrange. I said I'd wait, but during this time the camera was left on! There was a message across the screen saying that I was waiting, and this was covering some of my image. But I'm not sure whether this was the case from their side. For all I know, they could have been watching to see I moved etc. I made sure I didn't get up and only moved for comfort etc. After 47 mins, the secretary came back on and said there was another 15 mins wait. All in all the appointment was 1 hour and 6 mins late! The whole thing felt like a set-up! They also rang me the morning of the assessment apparently as a courtesy call to let me know the appointment was going ahead! That's b******s ! Antagonising is what it is! ❤

My partner had her assessment at her home as due to her disability is not always able to leave the house.
During it, the assessor asked multiple questions about my partners ability to use her mobile phone. My partner very rarely uses the phone as due to an injury she can't hold it properly. Anyway she had her pip refused, and the assessor outright lied and claimed that during the assessment, my partners mobile phone rung, she answered it and spoke for several minutes!
My partner then informed them that I was in the kitchen with the door closed and was recording the assessment. She was immediately awarded pip and told that there had been some mistakes in the assessment! They're vermin.

Very good… I would go one step further and like state everything the PIP interviewers do is a trick question. The will phone early or late to put you off your guard. The softening up questions like your name address medication etc are to get the client to relax and even the very friendly easy going and ostensible helpful manner is to pull you in. It’s actually a technique developed by the SS division ( no pun intended) in Germany circa 1942.
I liken it to an abattoir worker coaxing in the animal they’re about put a bolt through the head of. These self appointed ‘help professionals’ are incredibly similar in attitude to the abattoir worker. Remember every question is a trick one with these killers. Always record the conversations.

Thanks for doing what you’re doing you two ❤.
After my telephone pip assessment I had a couple of strange Mobil phone calls the DWP were the only new people I’d given my number to.
The first call was asking where I lived because the person was trying to deliver a Pizza that I’d supposedly ordered, I told PIP in my assessment I don’t like using the phone because I don’t like talking to people.
The second phone call a few days later said I’d hit their car with mine whilst parking in a supermarket car park, that was funny because I’ve not owned a car for thirty + years.
I think both of the calls were from PIP assessors trying to catch me out! Maybe I’m just paranoid but it seems strange that in all the years that I’ve owned a mobile phone I’ve never had bogus people phone me before. Keep doing what you’re doing we need people like you ❤

Keep at it you bloody legends
I know there are fools out there that genuinely believe everyone should work or die, but I have worked in places where people have been forced into work despite mental conditions
IT DOES NO GOOD TO THE FIRM OR ANY STAFF, the firm loses money and reputation when workers have a public episode - that they were warned about before taking them on
the worker loses out when the bosses inevitably try and blame/punish them for the conditions they knew full well about
the other staff lose out when the bosses use any episodes as an excuse to bring in unfavorable changes for all such as altered or increased hours

I start recordings from the moment I get within a few meters of the assessment centre and if we are made to wait then every few minutes I ask the person I'm with something to make sure my recording has switched off. I use a Dictaphone and have it set to stop recording after 15 minutes of silence, that's why I ask the person I'm with something every 5 minutes or so to keep the Dictaphone active.

At an assessment I was attending with a person the assessor was doing everything to try and deny his claim, his sister took care of his finances and they tried to make out he took care of his own finances, in the end I said strike one! and the assessor said what do you mean so I said get three strikes and we're out of here and put in a complaint. She tried to say that we couldn't do that so I replied try it and after that she didn't try anything else and he was awarded full rates on both parts. He had another assessment two years ago and was denied PIP but had it recorded but the disc was blank but he had done a covert recording as well so he knew everything that was said by the assessor and his replies, he received zero points but appealed and at the tribunal last year he was awarded full on both parts for 10 years. His condition had got worse and he was in a wheelchair at the tribunal which he wasn't at the assessment.

Good on you mate, thanks for standing up for people. It’s utterly disgusting the tactics they use they tried several with my mum and I ripped them to shreds after scoring 0 points on most things it was overturned at tribunal to full PIP then they cut it off because they sent her a letter she did not get about a change of address. Absolutely sickening. I will always fight them for me it’s a case of I will never back down from injustice and clearly you see it the same way as I do. It’s pittance too, for gods sake give our national average wage instead of a measly 2-8k a year, then have UC for top ups for people who need help with rent etc. it’s not that the country can’t afford it it’s that politicians DON’T CARE. Their family don’t have to suffer so they aren’t bothered if yours do. They’ll happily send all our money to other countries to fund w a r s though, as they make so much money themselves from it. Horrible horrible people. Normally it’s just the people at the top, but in this case it isn’t at all, there are lots of people complicit in making the lives of people who need help feel like the depths of hell, and causing suffering, deaths, hunger and so on. I detest the system and I will always always fight them until the very end.

Also I know how much work goes into researching all the legal and work related contractual stuff that this entails . So it just shows how ignorant people are who say that what your doing is lazy and to get a job. Been times that you can be finding something out and it takes you 12 13 hours of searching online .Phoning the relevant organisations etc, arranging meeting and interviews. And then the travelling to and from those interview/meetings with new leads to follow.

I made a request to change to another day, as I was in no state to deal with them - not only was this refused, they threatened to close the claim there and then if I didn't comply. Of course I failed, and according to the "professional" I was perfectly fit and well and showing no mental distress whatsoever....

Some questions I have been asked: did you go to a mainstream school- even though it was over 40 years ago.
When you left school what career or job did you do even though I have been long term disabled/ ill from work 15 years,
I was also asked to add up some sums like arithmetic plus given a list of words to remember and then asked what the words list was a few seconds later. It was testing my cognitive. They watch how you come in and if you show your passport to the reception which you have to do and then they say you can talk to strangers ok, also if you grip a walking stick they then say you have adequate grip on a walking stick so again mark you down. If you refuse a medical because of pain they don’t like that either. Oh and don’t take a bag, carry it yourself or bend forward to get anything out of your bag because they use that as your mobility even crossing your legs is used against you. They will do everything and anything to catch you out. Sorry to be negative but you have to be very mindful. I have been to so many assessments now I think I have seen most tricks and I’m now waiting for my next pip review. Anyway best wishes everyone xx

  • @airbubble.
    @airbubble. Месяц назад +9

You need to do a video on how PIP will try and get you to do their legwork for them with regards to your medical records, knowing that it will be difficult for you to obtain what they need, and this gives them a loophole to turn you down.
When I had my telephone assessment, i was told that i had to get in touch with my medical team to request various documents and proofs of tests and consultations etc in order to prove my claim. When I called my GP, he said "Absolutely not, Bubble! They need to call and request what they need. That's why you tick that box on the form giving consent. We cant supply them with anything until we know what they need. Tell them to call us themselves. That's part of their job!"

    • @DynamicDuoUK
      @DynamicDuoUK  Месяц назад

Absolutely spot on! They are bone idle and lazy and use it as an excuse and expect you as the claimant to do their job for them knowing full well half the time it's difficult or to request a doctor's note is around £30 it is up here anyway !
The box clearly says do you allow us consent to your medical records via a GP etc.
They even ask you this over the phone 🤣🤣
They are just too lazy to do any work apart from tick boxes and make excuses to not pay people.

    • @airbubble.

@@DynamicDuoUK I also think its about time they stopped messing people about. Disabled people arguably are some of the most vulnerable people in society and many of them have conditions that will either remain fixed or deteriorate. They should amend the Disabilities Act to reflect that. If a PIP claim is for something that will improve with time/surgery etc then a short term award can be made, yearly or whatever. For conditions that will be permanent there should be lifetime awards granted with the understanding that you can review your award by request if your needs increase. That'd save both sides a lot of time and unnecessary effort. Why is it the most vulnerable are the ones that have to continuously beg the most and jumpthrough the most hoops for any kind of support?
      It makes me so angry

My daughter recently went through the limited capability for work questionnaire and telephone assessment. I am her appointee. However, I wasn't present for the telephone assessment. She failed. Also, the mandatory reconsideration upheld their decision.
Now, I am a nurse of 47 years and had been a union rep for over ten years, putting cases together for disciplinaries. We decided to take it to a tribunal. I put the case together, sent in the documents (bundle). I literally ripped the assessment to shreds word by word, sentence by sentence, same with questionnaire. That bundle was sent by tribunal to DWP, who looked at it again. To be honest they must have thought, shit, we're going to lose this case. DWP decided to go in my daughters favour and have re-instated her LCW. They owe her £1320.
PIP is next on our agenda

Just as an FYI for all.. I am a 60yr old man, I have claimed money for one week in my life, as I was between jobs to feed my kids and my dog. I went without food that week myself to ensure everyone else got fed, so I am not a scrounger, despite being told at 9yrs old that I would never be able to do a days work in my life due to Crohns disease.
I was so ill recently that I could do no more than shuffle along, taking two minutes to get across the 3yrd living room. When I had my pip asessment I was asked how far I could walk.
Being clueless I stated that I could probably walk 25 yards, they then scored me 0 because I could walk (despite the nearest bus stop being 500 yards away) The correct answer would have been "I cannot walk" as I could only shuffle, so beware ! They also asked if i drove, and followed up with "do you drive a manual or automatic car" to assess co-ordination etc.

I got screwed out of mobility help, I got asked how far I can walk so I said pain free about 20 meters which reduces to 10 to 20 feet as the pain rises then I have to stop. I told them to get to my partners home it takes me around 1 to 1 and a half hours with repeated stopping, this is a distance that takes a healthy person 20 minutes. I got refused mobility help and they gave 0 points stating that I am able to walk for an hour, they blatantly twisted the truth. This is with having hip arthritis, peripheral arterial disease with a blocked artery and asthma. Now I have to deal with them again because of a diagnosis of severe arthritis in my dominant hand. They also said that as I drive I have no problem using the pedals and controls.

I know someone that used to undertake the assessments for DLA, and I suspect this practice is still used today for PIP. He told me that he would set his assessment to take place in an office on the 1st floor, this would require the applicant to either traverse stairs or take a lift, he would ask the security guard checking in the applicant to observe which method they used to reach the required floor, if they used the stairs he would reject their claim before they had even met.

My partner has a back problem due to an accident at work and has not been able to walk more than a couple of steps without having to sit down for years. I have CVS, extreme breathing difficulties and depression caused by my CVS. It took me 18 years to get disability benefits. DLA years ago and now it’s PIP.
Would love to work? hell yes! Am I able to? absolutely not!
I was shocked when I eventually was accepted but I got lower on mobility only. They failed to take everything into account and gave me 0 points for most of my issues.
I called them out then I got higher on both which was what they should have done in the first place.
It’s a flawed system, unfortunately there are so many people trying to claim this without reason that the real disabled people are having to wait an exuberant amount of time to receive an acceptance.
Thanks for all you do for us.

Having experienced both a PIP assessment (DWP) and War Pensions Mobility assessment (VUK) which are the same as they are both benefits and they are exclusive of each other, it astounded me how differently I was treated during the War Pensions Mobility assessment, completely respectful, I went into a different side of the assessment centre and even offered a drink, I was dumbfounded afterwards when comparing my experience. Needless to say I don't bother having the DWP one anymore and I'm not reassessed.

I have been an observer during an appeal, when at the Citizen Advice Bureau, in the days when it was still called Disability Living Allowance, On the panel of assessors, they would be one lady who was paralysed from the neck down, and as the case worker from the Bureau rightly said , anyone appealing would feel intimidated by that person being there , because they would think "what have I got to complain about compared to her " etc Even the claim forms for DLA back then were consuming to some people of a certain age , who are putting on claims forms that they could walk 100yards, but they didn't even know how far 100 yards were

The biggest issue is maximus an american company who have been given a contract and then an extended contract in the states they are sued in different states for millions.for false reports . They should never have been selected , there assessors are not very knowledgable how can physio therapists no your mental and medical records which they always ignore. The bigger problem is a conflict of interest .

It's great that you are offering guidance for people in this.
Speaking for myself however, I am done with all that. The assessors are a lot more than just liars. The one I saw was a card carrying narcissist who made it abundantly clear it was highly likely I would not receive a favourable outcome. Then went on to infer my best friend, who was along for the ride was a liar. That was within the first three minutes.
I am not the sort that takes offense at anything but throughout the rest of the assessment (sic) you could tell she tried her very best to do so, baiting us incessantly. Horrible experience and one I don't care to repeat.
To par quote Col William Ludlow. "I worked for the government once. I have seen nothing in its behavior since then that would persuade me that it has gained either in wisdom, common sense, or humanity".
All the best to everyone else though and my congrats if you succeed in your endeavors. ❤

    • @DynamicDuoUK

It's common practice 9/10 applicants we speak to always score 0 on both parts in the assessment and then in the Mandatory Reconsideration as well, mostly 70% succeed at tribunal.
However I was actually told by a DWP advisor if you score 0 in both parts but then wait for a tribunal then to re apply again ! It's absolutely madness to do so as surely that's causing a backlog if multiple people keep applying right?
They never get it right first time they've admitted this and said they need to understand why.... 👀👀

You can of course donate to a charity .
Example : I am setting up a cafe/bakery , but my employees need to be fit to move bags of flour , so I can contribute to an exercise class as part of a wellness program. For both physical and mental health , Team building .

You only need a diagnoisis confirmed and proof from a GP or health professional, it doesn't matter when it's dated, if they go down the route its not up to date evidence go back to GP get them to confirm in writing £30 cost usually and then send it recorded delivery back to them under a Mandatory Reconsideration. also a note to point out, 48 hours after your assessment call the pip helpine and ask for a copy of the assessors report from the call to be sent to your home please so you can cross ref what was said between both parties, if there is something you disagree with you can call back to complain and say i want this looking at in my MR as i did not say this or state that.
95% of assessors will lie in the reports in their favour despite you saying one thing they change it...
