You are a great man
The da paper over the scotch bright tip is money dude! Thanks for that!
Thanks brother! Appreciate the support!
If I block everything flat without burning through my primer, is another coat of finish primer necessary? Could I sand everything with 600 and paint after blocking?
Thank you for posting this. I wasn't sure about reducing my high build primer to use as a sealer... but now I'm confident I should do it for a uniform base color. Bumper of a 2014 corvette.
👍upol you can, if your using a different primer then check the Technical data sheet
Excellent tuition it's all in the preparation for a perfect finish. Thanks sharing 😊.
Thank's for watching I appreciate the comment and support!
Which is the better way, primer followed by filler or the opposite way? Nice videos. Thank you.
Another really useful tutorial Chris, I really like the way you explain what you are doing and in a way we the novice DIY/Hobby painter can understand, what might be useful is a tutorial on when you should or shouldn't use an interface pad on your DA and the reason for it, appreciate you taking the time to do these videos👏🙏👍John UK
Thank's brother! I like your suggestion on the interface pad tutorial, maybe along with how to properly use a orbital sander.
Yeah, bring it on Chris, I have the Mirka Deros 150mm electric sander so it sounds like a great idea for a video👍
Wow nice job like always
Thank's brother! Appreciate the support!

Hi from 🇹🇹Trinidad👋. Thanks for all the tips. Really educational. Do you have any vids on buffing. Whst pads are for what and what compounds and polishes?
I have one coming this week but I have a few on the channel now.
Beautiful end product. Quick newbie question tho… what’s the purpose of sealer before the base coat? Thanks
Sealer creates a barrier between the basecoat and the primer also create one uniform surface to apply basecoat and can help fill surface sand scratches in primer before basecoat. Appreciate the question and support!
@@GarageNoise so sealer goes on smooth with no need to sand?
@@clarkharvell5242 You do all of your sanding on the primer itself. All of your prep work is done before you apply sealer. So: Primer, sand, sealer, base coat, clear coat. No need to sand the sealer. If it helps, you can think of sealer as being equivalent to sanding your primer with 20,000 grit sandpaper; it leaves a *very* smooth surface for the base coat to lay on., much smoother than what you can achieve with just primer that has been sanded.
Hey chris just a question, what do you do when doing a whole car and want to mix a large amount of paint at once? Do you use a standard large mixing cup and keep refilling the same dispoable cup over and over?
I use the disposable cups. To mix it, I'll get a gallon mixing up and reduce what I need and then pour it off into my disposable cup. You could reuse the disposable cup, but I just use a new one.
Oh man the paint stick trick awesome
👍👊
too bad we can't see you mixing the polyester filler ;)
Next time!
