Sure one could simply throw a solid axle swap (SAS) on their rig and call it a day, but Clinton chose to test the limits on his independent front suspension (IFS) and has been conquering all that has been thrown at him. That makes me feel better about my grand Cherokee mpg. I have 40s on it and it gets 11 mpg with a 5.2L.
This thing is sick! Is there any way to improve fuel economy on it? Like maybe change to a different gear ratio? The fact you can do 80 on the highway and then go over any obstacle is crazy. I want one lol.
I feel like at this stage, fuel is the least of your worries lol

Truth of the matter though is that, both manuf are highly capable of both. Not to mention, this 5th gen is already sas’d. Probably doing more wheeling than most as of rn and doing everything a jeep can.

Is it normal for the steering pump to sound like that with such large tires or do you need to get some type of stronger pump
It is not normal. The power steering whining is probably from having air bubbles. I just need to flush it out and ut should be fine.
