    All these comments crying about destroying your 4Runner. Who cares! It took a beating like a champ because it’s built to do that. Yes a lift would help, but it’s your machine and you’re using it as intended!! Sweet video

      For the middle class, it's just another car but for us lower class it's more than just a car. We too love cars we can't afford.

      Exactly these vehicles need to be used to their fullest and proven, as soon as I get enough to buy a new 2024 Toyota Sequoia TRD Off-road I will take full advantage of its 4WD. I could care less about scratches or little dings.

    Novice driver didn't use mts system or A-track. You learn as you go...Either way love seeing capabilities of a stock vehicle. Those nittos though are garbage that comes with the pro. 1st thing I swapped out. A simple jump to 33s and a lesson how to use 4runners gadgets would have had 0 issues on this trail.

    Pretty impressive for a stock 4R. A lift-kit and more appropriate rubber and it would have sailed through nicely.

    Use that A-track acts like a front locker.

    Damn, dude either has some serious balls or money to burn !!! Not quite sure what was worse, the driver or the spotters? Sure as hell know I'd never take my TRD Pro on a trail like that without a serious lift and much bigger tires.

    I’m guessing we have a novice driver unfamiliar with the 4Runner’s features.
    But I really love the good attitude and willingness to pay the tuition!
    Someone should show him how to use the left foot while wheeling. That would help a bunch.
    Awesome work! Thanks for posting 👍

    Good for the driver in trying,he did what a lot of people wouldn't do with a brand new vehicle, goes to show, don't always need a jeep, love my 2016 4runner trail.

    You got A-trac and Crawl control + rear locker,use those 3 and you’ll be able to tackle all the obstacles..

    • @gojirajenkins8528
      @gojirajenkins8528 Год назад

      Do You need the rear locking and claw control if You have A-Trac ? The A-Trac on just a SR5 base 4x4 seems to pull the truck out of jams more so than the Crawl Control and Rear Locking Diff. Is the A-trac the Star of the show with the 4runners ?

    • @Offshore1977
      @Offshore1977 Год назад +1

      His problem was clearance. No amount of traction control aids will help when your hung up. 4Runners are great but for that obstacle he needed a lift and a little mor aggressive tires to walk up it.

    • @VTOffRoadAdventures
      @VTOffRoadAdventures Год назад +1

      @@gojirajenkins8528 Yes it is. It can simulate a locked front and rear diff. Crawl control is just doing throttle for you with A-trac functioning as well. It won't replace a true locked rear end but for a stock rig you'll be stuck on things a true locked rear likely won't help you with much.

    Mother of god this is both awesome and my nightmare. I just bought a 2024 black TRD Pro. Not sure I would attempt this without a lift and some bigger tires. 😅

  • @Mako2-1

    At 12:30 mts rock mode would have acted like a front locker and would have ensured your front wheels get equal power. Actually, I would have just ran mts rock mode with the rear locker during the entire rock garden there…

    Does anybody think that maybe a 2 inch lift or 3 inch lift and also some 285s are the way to roll here?. Would that help in a lot of the situations that this truck found itself in? I ask because I have the exact same vehicle but have only been doing moderate and easy trails. Want to take it to this level.

    Looks like 4hi the whole time? The speed he carried into/through each obstacle stressed me tf out.

    man that guy fucked up his brand new 4runner and a pro at that. if you want to rock crawl get a jeep. the 4runner even the pro model has pretty low ground clearance stock as we just witnessed. i'm sure his trailing arms and diff is scratched/banged up pretty good

    • @PandasUNITE

      4Runners were indeed harmed in the making of this film.

    • @johnwebb2232
      @johnwebb2232 Год назад +3

      But at least he kept up with the jeep and didn't break down like some jeeps do, as for him fucking up his brand new 4runner, I don't see it. Yeah maybe a few dents and scratches underneath, but hell,that goes with anything off roading.

  • @gojirajenkins8528

      Not really a significant difference. ORP and Pro will perform exactly the same with the same set of tires. I've owned both.

  • @jakejakobe8884
    @jakejakobe8884 Год назад +4

    this is so painful to watch.. geeez. this type of trail you need higher clearance and bigger tires. doing this stock is just asking for damage.

    • @camooo101
      @camooo101 Год назад +1

      That's the fun part, It's no fun having a heavily modified vehicle and doing trails with your eyes closed. Also a few scratches are harmless. Just repaint to prevent premature corrosion on the frame.

    Nice video.. That is a TRD PRO not an Offroad. and Im impressed, because the Pro does not Have the KDSS suspension.. The TRD Offroad is better at rock crawling..

    • @thegiant573
      @thegiant573 Год назад +1

      Not all TRD off-roads have KDSS and the spotter or the front camera system of a TRD-Pro can make up for any articulation that the KDSS gives I think.
