      Well, you can fast for a month, and then when the weight is lost, start again with a healthy diet and then hit the gym.
      I think it's ok to focus on weight loss first, then follow up with healthy muscle gain at the gym.

      I think because she's forsaking her health and wellness by not studying and learning what food does and what foods ya need to do it...heal and energize your body and mind. She's also totally negating the need for and benefits of exercise..weight is important but its' only one aspect of health and wellness. Some may be envious but I suspect are concerned. Even that electrolyte drink is honestly probably not really the business for a good body. Seafood is also not the business it's filthy not fish so much (other than man poisoning the water) but shell fish and creepy crawlers are scavengers and not good for u they're meant for other animals and to filter the sea from natural bacteria and animal grossness. Plus she's beautiful woman we can't overlook that and she was that even in her before's . But without critique her good start could become a plateau or a "dead end" from bad habits.

    • @gomezaddams6470
      @gomezaddams6470 6 лет назад +6

      J M this was a temporary moment it only worked just like if you starve yourself for a couple of weeks the minute you eat a meal it comes right back on your body! This isn't something new or miraculous it's typical! it's ever so common she just made a video of a temporary moment at the beginning of something that set you up for failure for organ removal, so many problems that it could go on forever. It's not criticism it's just knowing what's ahead for her and that she's not doing anything new or healthy or remarkable in any way. I'd be happy for her if she learned a healthy diet and opening up with a bottle of basically junk food with cancer-causing colors for babies proves that she hasn't learned anything about chemistry how the body truly works. And I'm not talking about mainstream medicine though she's going to be a part of it very soon. as they tell her to basically be a part of the standard American diet just in a different way. She is not going to keep the weight off. In fact it will Rebound in the more! If she doesn't learn to eat more raw Whole Foods and cut out animal products and anything that's been process that did not start out the way it grew and it's in a box it's all coming right back. it's not criticism it's reality! I've helped people who weighed 800 lbs get to running marathons and one still is at 87 years old at 125 lbs! kept off for 30 plus years. No starving just eating as much as she wants of Whole plant-based food.

      Our bodies aren't calculators, they're more like chemistry labs because of hormones and other things. Jonathan Bailor has many videos on youtube and he shares great info which works. People need something they can do for life, and most "diets" are not sustainable.

    • @kimberlycooper4170
      @kimberlycooper4170 6 лет назад +3

      Yes, it's about hormones. She was fasting which is what Dr Jason Fung, MD, has written in his book "The Obesity Code".
      When we eat carbs and proteins, our digestive system breaks the foods down into nutrients and puts the nutrients into our blood vessels. The carbs become blood sugar. Proteins, to a lesser degree, become blood sugar.
      Our bodies' sensors sense the increase in blood sugar and tell the pancreas to increase insulin production. Insulin is a hormone.
      Insulin has two jobs:
      (1) Put blood sugar (fuel) into the body cells so that the body cells can use the fuel to do their jobs.
      (2) Store excess blood sugar (fuel) in the fat cells and liver.
      When we fast long enough, the digestive system empties of food. So, the blood sugar (fuel) decreases in the blood vessels. Our bodies' sensors sense the decrease of fuel, so tell the pancreas to decrease insulin production and start producing the hormone glucagon.
      Glucagon has one job:
      Take the stored fuel out of the fat cells and put it back on into the blood vessels so that the body can use the stored fuel.
      "The Obesity Code" also explains how the hormones cortisol, leptin, and ghrelin are activated and how they influence weight loss and weight gain.

    What she says about portion control is very true. I was on a vegetarian diet in my high school days and drank nothing but water, and the weight came off fast. BUT, there were consequences. Not only was I in a vegetarian diet, but I was also exercising as well. I did extreme workouts which helped shed the pounds faster. As a result of this, my hair started falling out. I do not recommend these extreme diets because of the bad effects it may have on health. All I can say is drink water, NO SODA at all. Maybe a Sprite Zero once a week, to kill that craving, but not everyday, since diet soda can have the same effects as regular soda. If you want to exercise, you can, it will help you loose the pounds faster, but make sure to eat vegetables, protein, fruits,...again small servings, just enough to take that stomach growling away. If its late, and you still feel hungry, but you don't want to eat, go to sleep. Or sleep before you feel you will get hungry. If not, then have a yogurt like she said or an apple. It will satisfy your hunger. This is all about will power, once you get used to that water, everything else will come easily. It takes some time, but will be worth it. But most importantly, remember who you were and how you felt and to NEVER disrespect ANYONE that has any type of struggle. We are all beautiful human beings worthy of respect and love. Some people want to loose weight, some don't, and we need to respect that.

    I’m on day 3 of my water fast. I haven’t eaten anything. No fruit, vegetables or yogurt because the point of a water fast is to only drink water so it’s been hard but I’m proud of how far I’ve come already. I’ve already lost 5 pounds. I’m not fat or overweight but my eating habits have been garbage and I figured it was time for a change. It’s time to get healthy for myself and my 7 year old. • @Mmmmkaaay
      @Mmmmkaaay 3 года назад +7

      @@noor-co4ss Fasting has been proven to extend longevity, and so has calorie restriction. It is also perceived as spiritual to millions. Eating disorders point to how we feel about ourself and how we interact with others. It isn't dependent on culture or fasting.
      Fasting has been around for eons. Offering the body a break from digestion is healthy, just as taking a nap is. We have been a food secure species for only roughly 100 years, so it makes sense that we eat too much. Our evolution counted on us eating as much as we could because famine was imminent. Now we are seeing obesity not just because of processed foods, but because of overeating,a sedentary lifestyle and hormone imbalance.
      Eating is a fiery topic and pushes buttons. It's important to to take it on a case by case basis. However, we have current science pointing to what's best for humans, which is water, plants, and limited red meat. Some will argue that red meat is fine, but that's not what the studies show.

      What the heck are you talking about?!?! Fruit does to have calories! Where did you get your horribly, WRONG info from? Fruit also contains carbs to sustain hunger.. One medium banana has 105 calories! Avocado - 234 calories, medium coconut over 1,000 calories. At a 1 cup serving (basic serving size for an adult wanting to get in their daily fruit average 2-3 serving), you can rack up the calories! .....COME ON....get out of here with that nonsense. People who do not exert themselves as much as say someone who does a 30 minute basic workout daily doesn't need as many calories. It's common sense. You are welcome.
      This link will tell you the average calories in many common fruits.

      You said---The foods she mentioned are very low in calories, and fruit basically has no calories and is ingested simply to take up space in the stomach to curb hunger. The only thing fruit is good for is vitamins and minerals. ---Yes, she mentioned fruits that aren't that high on the caloric scale when consumed in small quantities. I'm simply going off your comment of fruits in general basically have "no calories ", which is a false statement! No, one does not have to eat a "hell load" of fruit to rack up the calories. Yes, some fruits have few calories and can take a lot to eat- grapes, berries for example; however, in general, let's say you eat one avacado, two bananas, and a cup of watermelon wirhin a days span , you've racked up over 600 calories. That's a good amount of calories. On top of good carbs, fats, and natural glucose. I eat a raw diet for the most part. In my opinion and many others in --professional fields of eating natural and clean-- that's the way we were intended to eat. ALSO, many Nutritionists (including myself, a Child Nutritionist ) know that fruits are one of the best things to reach for when hungry. It levels out your glucose, carbs, and calories without ingesting them unnaturally; meats, dairy, processed foods. We humans are meant to eat raw and clean. Not, processed, meat, dairy, refined sugars, food laced with chemicals, pesticides, genetically altered. Comprehend?

      Briel Boomer Lol cutting back? Drink only water for a week with only a yogurt or protein bar here and there & then going the rest of the money only eating cereal & a handful of fruit etc is basically starving yourself. Any good doctor I'm sure would say that is insane. You're body is not going to get the nutrients it's needs, you're probably going to end up with a vitamin deficiency and who knows what else.

      brutalmetalhead starving does not mean you do not eat. Starving means you do not take in enough calories to sustain your vital functions so your body begins to canabalize itself. It breaks down muscle for food and actually increases fat production because it assumes you are starving and it is trying to keep you alive. You make more estrogen to produce more fat. So while in the beginning you look good eventually your body will rebel. Your metabolism will shut down and keep everything you eat and store it as fat.
      It is a nightmare to try and reverse this process. My husband did this for years. Cut calories to below 1800 ( he’s 6-1 and large boned) as he thought he would lose weight. He worked out like a fiend with no results so he cut calories again and worked out more. Finally went to a nutritionist; he’s eating so much now but it’s lean protein and dense calories. It took a while but he’s lost 30 pounds of fat and built muscle. Food is fuel.
      I’d advise starting with a nutritionist and exercise therapist and coordinate a plan of aerobic and strength training to go with a proper diet. This is something one can do forever.
      This woman’s diet is unsustainable. The minute she begins to eat food again she will gain weight because her body will start holding on to all of the calories and converting them to fat for the next famine.

    Read up on fasting... and the military diet. Military diet is roughly 700 to 1000 calories a day... so same concept. Eat healthy, cut proportions(ei. reduce calorie intake to a fasting point), and drink lots of water. But beware... not exercising leaves you at a greater risk of loose skin. Loss of muscle mass, which will result in less strength and the tone look most of us seek with weight loss will not be achieved. Muscle speeds your metabolism and will help keep you slimmer naturally as well, which will help on cheat days lol. Thanks for sharing your journey... I enjoy getting thoughts/ideals and opinions. Everyone's bodies are different and what works for one may not work for another. Though sometimes combining several methods from several different opinions can be the key factor in someone else's success. Good Luck All

      Hi Kaitlyn. If you don't mind me asking, on this plan, how long did it take for you to lose the 40 lbs. I am getting married in 2020, so want to lose weight before hand, for the dress fitting etc, so I am just curious as to how long it took to lose the 40 lbs as i need to lose about 60 lbs to reach my goal weight. If you don't wish to share, i understand, no pressure. thank you in advance.

      Lady Mystic Wolf I haven't tried to lose weight by following this video, but just recently I did loose 20lbs in 6 weeks. I ate small meals every 2.5 to 3 hours along with a gallon of water throughout the entire day. If I don't have time to prep or eat a full meal I'll replace my meal with a sugar free/low calorie protein shake. As I am not big on breakfast, I usually start my morning off with a protein shake and then rotate between full meal and shakes.... example: breakfast= shake, 2.5hrs later= Full meal, 2.5hrs later= shake, 2.5hrs later= Full meal and so on and so until time for bed. My meals included 4 ounces of protein (white meat mainly- chicken breast and 99% lean ground turkey and egg whites) 2 ounces of carbs (brown rice, yams, quinoa, sweet potatoes) and unlimited amount of green veggies. All my spices and seasoning are zero calories and No to Low sodium (Mrs.Dash are my favorites) and switched over to Himalayan Salt (also known as pink salt). Good luck to you on your weight loss journey and congratulations to you on your upcoming wedding!

      Vanessa Castro That small meal crap is BS..You don't hv to eat every 2-3 Hours to lose weight. .This is coming from my buddy a Nutritionist and Mr California in 93..but hey whtvr works..Back in the days before some person made up this whole eating every 2-3 hrs and breakfast is the most important meal crap they used to eat 1-2 Meals a day...After they killed for meat...History books show that Most people weren't fat back then....But good for u..👍👍👍👍💪

    Not to be mean but this video should be taken down. I saw recent video of this woman and she has not only gained all 30 pounds back. Yeah the key is actually eating more, but in portions. Making sure you do some type of daily activity too, because you have to burn calories to keep consuming. Not eating enough your body goes into starvation mode holding on to any fat. That causes your metabolism to go down, and you stay the same or gain. I'm trying to eat more, because I know that I'm not getting in my daily intake.

    • @simplydivine77
      @simplydivine77 8 лет назад +13

      I agree. This isn't sustainable. It can take some people an entire year or more to lose 30 lbs on the scale but they are making positive gains in other areas (building muscle, leaning out). This is starvation and not realistic long term.

      There is scientific merit in fasting! So many advantages (including weight-loss!)! Just Google "The "benefits of fasting" (especially water-only fasting!) and you will get a plethora of scientific-based information about it! BTW-"true starvation" doesn't happen physiologically until the 41st day of water-only fasting! Check it out, if you don't believe me! Get enlightened, people!!! Come into the 21st Century! I'm sooo tired of hating myself when I look in the mirror, having to get rid of clothes that used to fit, but don't anymore. I'm determined! SO determined. I want to feel good about myself again! I am lazy when it comes to exercise, but I guess I get enough of that working in a warehouse! But I have to ask? Did you feel fatigue or dizziness during your diet? Do you still feel it? That's my worry is feeling weakness from it.

    @notapplicable285 7 лет назад +12

    WHEN one is doing a Pure Water Fast one SHOULD NOT "fall back" on food!!! That is NOT a water fast AND in FACT the reason YOU remained hungry! If one will push past the inital first couple of days of hunger with more water, then miraculously the hunger goes away. However, if one is NEW to fasting, one should begin slowly, ie. start with a single day fast 1X wkly for several consecutive wks, then substitute a 3 day fast for one of the weekly single day fasts 1X a month for a few months, then a week long fast should be done quarterly at the change of the seasons (substituting it for a 3 day fast). Fasting should be a consistent part of one's internal hygene, it allows ones body to CLEANS and REPAIR itself as the body has been DESIGNED to do. Also what one eats the day PRIOR to a fast and COMING OFF the fast are CRITICAL to proper fasting. Fresh raw vegs or fresh juiced vegs prior to and coming off the fast to prep one's body for fasting and then to ease one's body back into eating. Do Proper REASERCH People!!

    i keep wondering what your skin looked like after such a fast weight loss. . . several yrs ago i lost 40 lbs, but did it more slowly than 30 days. i felt great and with clothes on i looked great - but underneath my clothes my skin looked horrible, like melting candle wax and crinkly crepe paper. when u are younger the skin will shrink with weightloss but after a certain age it doesnt and its not a pretty sight. i was devastated and reluctantly let myself gain back a few pounds trying to fill my skin out but it didnt work. then i had to be given cortisone shots for a bad leg and my apetite shot thru the roof causing my weight to do the same. ive gained back 30 of the 40 i lost and my skin looks great now but i feel awful lugging all this extra weight around. so i'm in a miserable predicament. i no longer am on cortisone shots so now i can focus and lose the weight & end up with awful skin, or stay fat with beautiful skin. . . . some choice huh? .... if anyone reading this is young and needs to lose weight DO IT NOW! Dont procrastinate, the older you get the worse the skin problem will be.

      +8OBHRZ ... Hi, i was in my mid 50's, i'm 64 now. . . i did eat lean & clean (vegan) and exercised mostly up to an hour on a treadmill with some calisthenics & a lot of fidgetting (i never was still except while sleeping). it wasnt lack of muscle tone that made my skin look so bad, it was lack of elasticity . . nowadays if i drop even one pound my skin starts crinkling, so i'm stuck with being fat & smooth or getting skinny & all saggy & crinkly. if i had known about the skin thing before i gained all the weight i would have rather starved myself instead of letting my skin get stretched out so far! i dont mind my weight so much now except for my big belly, waistline, & chronic shortness of breath . . Good luck to you on your challenging journey. Stay in touch & update when you can. You can do this!

      Cubezxc you will lose but keep in mind you will lose a lot of muscle too!I suggest not being so strict as she is,I did this kind of strict diet and lost 10 pounds in 2 months but I don't recommend it.I think not eating sweets and don't drink sodas it's a good start.

    I can't imagine eating such little food to lose weight. I lost 40 lbs over the course of 6 months while continuing to gain strength in the gym. I ate a high protein diet that was low on calories, like 200-250g protein and 1700 calories a day. So high protein helped prevent muscle loss, but the low carb diet definitely left me with no energy for cardio or aerobic exercise longer than 30 minutes. Slowly but surely I lost the weight and am now eating a high carb diet at the proper portions and not gaining any of the weight back. I still feel good during the day but now I have energy to get back into bike racing and other endurance sports.

    So you're becoming skinny fat, unhealthy and definitely won't maintain it. This is a terrible outline for anyone to follow.

      5 years of biology, anatomy, chemistry, physiology, hospital practice and community practice, but that was the old and proper way, nowadays it can be done in two years.

    Exercise is different to working out. Exercise is taking a walk in the park. Working out is sessions in the gym. So you're saying you don't walk around in the day? Because that means 0 exercise
