TJ, I think you might like Pikesville rye, it’s 51% Rye, 39% Corn, 10% Malted Barley so you still get a good amount of corn to offset the rye. It’s got this black pepper note that I love with not so heavy oak and is 110 proof.

just picked 1 up @ my local lucky's in San mateo California aka sf. for 63$ hopefully I got a good pick. wow just took a sip and that mid finish is pretty fucking beautiful. Will say I personally like their small batch sour mash a hair better. bit duck this is a great bourbon
This whiskey, in a boulevardier, is my favorite cocktail. Similar to a Negroni- but 1.5 ounce Michael Rye, 1 ounce Compari, 1 ounce of sweet vermouth. Orange on the top like and old fashioned. And slowly slow!
My only complaint with this short as i was considering buying a rye and thought oh ill go grab this... maybe indicate that this is the 10 rye version and not their normal rye, as you could cause someone to buy the wrong bottle

Just bought a bottle of Pikesville Rye this weekend and can confirm that it is quite good. And for $50-$55, it's a bargain.
Beautiful classic. Michter's has an accreditation for quality form before pre-prohibition that they never cut with tobacco or anything else.

I had a Cedar Ridge Rye barrel pick that was incredibale recently. Have not had the Michters yet though.

Willett 4 yr is the best rye to me. It’s got some really cool floral/fruity notes that are very unique. Barrell Seagrass is also amazing

I believe that is a 10 year Rye, costs about 180$ somewhat hard to find.

same. i am not a big fan of the more woody flavor associated with bourbon which i know brewzle likes, but is usually less prevalent in other whiskies.

For a brand and all there stuff is pretty low proof.. the flavor is bold in every single one
