I'm in to photography and video editing and some gaming not much on that though.
@ Geovani Vela - I would look up performance reviews for the card with any of the photo/editing apps you’re planning on using. This should give you an idea of what to expect. It really depends on the program being used, some are very CPU intensive, some are GPU, and some are a mix. Often you can even choose in program which one you want to do the rendering for you.
Funny how Hardware Unboxed shows 6700 XT performance miserably worst than the RTX 3070 however they did a larger and more comprehensive test across a lot more games and this particular card was the recommended by Hardware Unboxed mainly because of the cheaper price but there's no recommendation in buying at current 70% price increase 🙄. Overcloking reviews is also irrelevant because silicon quality will vary drastically and it can affect the OC performance.

did you measure how thick the thermal pads are?
I wonder how it would have been if you paired it with a 5950x
cant wait to get one sometime early next year. I was going to go with sapphire again like i did with my R9 380 and my RX 580 but this card is just too good to pass up
Loved the video. Very helpful.
Thanks for the review, thermal pad size?
did you already have info about thermal pad thickness, same here too
at 6:29 what is the name of that GPU @Vortez? That red middle ring looks cool.
iGame rtx 3070
Does pairing the GPU you reviewed with the Ryzen 5 5600 (non X) Bottlenecks ? I'm struggling to choose the proper GPU for the CPU I'm going for :/
Got this card today gonna install it tomorrow 😊😊🥳
How is it
@@bryceh3026 How is it after 1 year?
@@AzraelAlpha I'm still building a pc and I've ended up getting the 3060ti
Hello Vortez thank you for great video I am following you now as I like how easy you make the explanation. Now I have a question I built a pc (Asus tuf gaming x570+wifi with AMD 5950 CPU) I haven't being able to get the GPU I want RTX3080, so would this 6700 xt do the job for me? I'm in to photography and video editing and some gaming not much on that though.
@ Geovani Vela - I would look up performance reviews for the card with any of the photo/editing apps you’re planning on using. This should give you an idea of what to expect. It really depends on the program being used, some are very CPU intensive, some are GPU, and some are a mix. Often you can even choose in program which one you want to do the rendering for you.
@@BigBear-- thank you I will do more research on that. I appreciate you reply.
Got the 6700XT only because of the 12 GB of GDDR6.
What do you think of this compared to the XFX 6700 xt Merc 319?
Personally I prefer the PC. There is hardly anything in it regarding performance. I like PC's cooler and shroud design.
Did you know what are the size of those thermal pads ??
Why my rx 6700xt doesn't show fan rpm?
Funny how Hardware Unboxed shows 6700 XT performance miserably worst than the RTX 3070 however they did a larger and more comprehensive test across a lot more games and this particular card was the recommended by Hardware Unboxed mainly because of the cheaper price but there's no recommendation in buying at current 70% price increase 🙄. Overcloking reviews is also irrelevant because silicon quality will vary drastically and it can affect the OC performance.
PowerColor and Sapphire are the best AMD GPUs
Buy this or the sapphire nitro+ rx 6750 xt? And Is there any difference from these 2?
I just picked this up and the only color option i can change to is red. Any help please
Hi would you recommend this over 3070
Gave in and bought one for 1k AUD, At least I can offset it by selling my 1060. This is fcked
Same here, got 1 $999 at PCCG. You can mine with it when not gaming to recoup some $ back.
Still around $1200 September 2021 and that's if you can get your hands on it.
This is $1200 here in the Philippines, the prices are totally insane, and this is the cheapest card you could buy that has the best "value", if you could call it that,
RIP
It’s always over priced in our country
I have the same card, and i downloaded the app, but the rgb in the card doesn't change. Any ideas on what i can do?
Can you makes video on the Bequiet 500DX case?
Temperature and wattage?
Sorry, I might have missed it in the video. Thanks
He showed the temp & performance graph just after the benchmarks finished. It peaked IIRC at just over 90C
I am confused, does this card not use thermal paste between the cooler?

Not sure why you put a question mark at the end. 6700xt is advised as a 1440p card.
what about the flex in the PCB??? i got one, i think its so bad it could die just cos of sagging.... is this normal ??? i couldn't find any place to attach a good braced. to secure the card in the case for long term use ,horizontal mounted , since the card doesn't have any flat spots on it that are strong enough , anything less than a custom cnc aluminum braced is gonna suck balls for a gpu this size and price.....why is this not in the box ????
Just ordered one after 3 weeks of deliberation. Hope I made the right decision
How was it
By passing the temperature of the GP chip, a second parameter, GP2, appeared. If GP shows 70c during monitoring, GP2 reaches 90c. What's it?is it not critical?up to 100 GP 2.
This’ll fit in a mid tower case, right?
I could barely fit mine after juggling some cables around, but make sure you can clear at least 320mm for this one.
This card says minimum 700w power supply. I have 650w, should I buy a 700w power supply.
Yea as you wouldnt have enough power or your cpu and mobo

The card was still sealed in its anti static bag so had never been used, and all the contents there, comes with warranty and works like it should, im happy with it.

Same here for 900€
Power supply requirement is 700W... it's on the product page. Why is a single HDMI an issue? 4k at 120 sucks.. worse than display port. Where is the info on the back plate??? Did it have thermal Pads or no??
How do I get the devil zone rgb software

I'm using a Powercolor Red Devil Rx 5700 xt & due to the present GPU pricing / stock situation I've had a few offers to buy it for £800. I only paid £420 for it. Is it worth selling my rx5700xt & buying the 6700xt as it's in stock for around £870. My thinking is I'm upgrading to the new architecture for little cost ? And will my setup be sufficient for this card - Ryzen 7 3700x / Corsair CX 750M PSU / B450 MSI Pro Carbon Motherboard / 16GB 3200 Ram ? Or should I just stay with my RX5700xt ? - Advice appreciated 👍

In my experience the Power Color RGB software is buggy, to the point where I have to just disable the lighting on the graphics card as I can’t get it to match nicely with the rest of my RGB, which is unfortunate.
What is the best 6700 XT? I don’t know which one to buy and I’m not really an expert on GPUs. If you guys have any recommendations I appreciate it. (But please don’t say that a certain model of 6700 xt is better than another one just because I have it, be honest!)
In my humble opinion The Asus Strix and the two Powercolor( Red Devil or Hellhound) are the best choices. It's useless speak about performance because their are all on the same level, sometimes they differ for 1-2%, . I'll pick one of the mentioned before for temps ,power consuption and dimension but just because i got a small Fractal case.
P.S: I got in this moment an Nvidia 730 so i'm more than impartial and honest :D . Have a nice day
