      Hahaha, and costs more than 4060 ti in Europe, MSRP says NOTHING to real price because logistics and AMD overall sucks at market and 6700 xt slower than 4060 ti even without RT(where AMD cards die and without DLSS 3)

    • @timsrama7578

      @@rick39413 Idk where you live, but in Germany the 6700 XT is around 330€ and the 4060 ti 400€ and that counts for most European Countrys. And at 1440p the 6700 XT is Comparable to the 4060 ti because of the 4060 ti´s narrow 128 Bit Bus. Btw FG is mostly useless on the 4060 ti, cuz even at 1080p in newer Titles 8GB of VRAM is not sufficient anymore and FG uses more VRAM. Imagine buying a GPU for 400€ and it´s instantly getting to it´s knees. At this Point, the 6700 XT is the only 300-400€ GPU that makes sense to buy.

    • @syncmonism
      @syncmonism Год назад +10

      Yes, and even Nvidia had 12GB on their lower-mid-range RTX 3060 last generation. It's not a very fast card, but DLSS is a genuinely useful feature, and the 12GB 3060 is aging pretty well thanks to its large Vram capacity for that performance tier. Having lots of Vram can be very handy. Having more than you need is definitely better than having less than you want.
      If they can afford to put 12GB on that lower-mid-range card from last generation, they can afford to put 33% more Vram on their 800 dollar and 600 dollar cards of the current generation. Vram costs Nvidia and AMD less than 4 dollars per gigabyte, and increasing the bus width by 33% on the 4070 and 4070 ti also would not have cost very much, but Nvidia thought it would make higher profits off of this compromised 12GB design. The design makes more sense for the laptop version, where the GPU is clocked a lot lower, but Nvidia actually calls the laptop version of this graphics card the "RTX 4080"!
      It's sad that most of the 3000 series cards have so little Vram on them, because they really are otherwise very powerful GPUs with lots of good features. A 16GB 3070 (ti), and a 20GB 3080 (ti), would have been amazing, though probably pretty expensive (such models were planned, but got cancelled).
      The 3090 and 3090 ti were a terrible value when new, but they are both excellent cards, and you can find the 3090 used for around 700 USD, and some models still have warranty coverage left even if you're not the original owner. As long as you make sure that it's in good working condition, and have good buyer protection and/or warranty coverage, a used 3090 is MUCH better than a new 4070 ti, because 12GB of Vram is definitely very limiting at that performance level, and the 3090 also has significantly more memory bandwidth too. You're not likely to use anywhere near all 24GB, but you're very likely to benefit from having more than 12GB in an increasing number of games over the next 2-3 years.

    • @melexxa
      @melexxa Год назад +15

      @@syncmonismThey cant give High amount of vram for RTX (gaming centric) GPUs because then no one will be willing to buy Nvidia's professional AI use case GPUs which are generally the options left for higher VRAM requirements for creators or people who use CUDA accelerations.
      The reason they gave the 3060 12GB of VRAM was to give an option for creators on a budget to get into Nvidia's ecosystem, and yes 50% of the buyers of the 3060 12GB desktop variant particularly bought it for applications apart from games.

In Rdr 2, AMD cards also reserve the entire volume, but do not use it, in the cod series this applies to all gpu. By the way, it's funny that in this video the settings were selected taking into account the capabilities of the 6700xt chip but with ultra textures, but when testing 8GB vram rip Nvidia gpu, for some reason it was difficult to set high textures but ultra graphics

      @@MoultrieGeek Just snagged a XFX QUIK 6750XT for $200 out the door. Works great but has a little coil whine that you mostly can't hear. I run a 162fps cap on that PC which helps it from getting loud. 6700XT/6750XT have been the best bang for the buck cards for me even since the crypto times. I bought a Gigabyte Gaming OC 6700XT for $450 in early 2022 when they were still $900 on Newegg/Amazon. Sold my oldest card in the house a R9 290 for $120 not long before prices started to slowly come down. A year later in early 2023 I bought the other Gigabyte 6700XT Eagle for $250. All 3 are running strong in two Media PC's and my Son's rig.

    The Sapphire Pulse model of the 6700 XT is easily worth paying $20 more for. Some cheap models of the 6700 XT definitely have some questionable build quality, though if you buy new, they should still come with a 3 year warranty in most cases, and even a cheap model is likely to last a lot longer than 3 years as long as you keep your case well ventilated and you treat the card with care.

      When raytracing is implemented in mass and over 80% of players use it, it will be added in all new games from the ground which would make any game look as good as Minecraft with raytracing>

    This and 3060 ti were probably the best 1440p cards we have right now for the price. The new UE5 games are really resource intensive and I am pretty sure Nvidia might be indirectly involved with some game studios (considering they dominate the market) and telling them not to optimize the game at start since this would create an artificial demand for 40 series cards. Once Nvidia reaches their sales targets (maybe after 6-7 months), you will see games suddenly getting patches with better optimization. Thats been the trend for last 3-4 years.
