I have three Furls hooks. The most recent one I got is the rose gold metal one and it's beautiful! It's great for amigurumi. I have one of the resin hooks and I love using that for things like cardigans or shawls. My husband bought one of the Odyssey hooks for me during one of their Valentine's Day sales..it's so nice! I use that one for wearables and sometimes for bags. I mostly use my Clover Amour hooks, but I did just get the metal streamline literally last week. It's really comfy for crocheting a long time making amigurumi.

I like the resin the most. The streamline metal is a bit heavy. The wood does have a bit of drag.
I haven't tried the Odyssey.
Yes resin definitely has its advantages!
I bought 1 metal to try it out. I'm glad I got just the one. I cannot express how much I dislike it. It's heavy and counterproductive.

I will tell you the truth ( & why wouldn’t I?😊)
I bought my first Furls crochet when I was going on vacation and was planning to crochet in public( like in the airport and once again on the plane). I wanted people not only see me crocheting but crocheting with a beautifully looking crochet hook in my hand! 😅
Anyway I used it but really wasn’t satisfied with it not realizing what some people were saying about having to get used to the hook… it does take time for your hands to get used to the feel of them. I put the hook away and continued to use other hooks. Then as I continued to watch RUclips & see the beautiful choices in Furls hooks, I gave it one more chance.
I only purchase hooks when they are on sale, which they are every so often. In fact I got 5 hooks when they had an awesome buy 2, get 3 free!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I have continued to purchased Furls this way and I totally love these hooks…. Even non crochets are amazed at how pretty the hooks really are!!!!

Thank you for such a great review! I have several furls and absolutely love them! The odyssey is my favorite. (Wish they were not discontinued) I recently ordered and am now😅 anxioisly waiting my first alpha. I use different furls depending on what project I am currently working on.

I love the Furls Streamline Metal. They are superb and ergonomic (minus the expense). Also, love the ergonomic Streamline Resin (Zodiac) and Wood series.
I love Tulip Etimo hooks (minus the expense). They are superb and ergonomic.
I taught myself to crochet using the Boye hooks (real world inexpensive affordable). They good and get the job done (however, not ergonomic).

I bought 6 Furls Odyssey hooks in purple and blue and I wanted to love them. I love how they feel in my hand, however, I just cannot like them. They are inline and I prefer a tapered hook, so despite repeatedly trying to get used to them, I just don't like them. I wish I had just tried one before I purchased 6 of them. They are beautiful, but not for me. I am going to sell them.
Completely understandable! Good thing is Furls has a great resell value.
@@cozicrochetco I hope so. I had started collecting the BQueen hooks, as they are more to my liking, however, their house burned down in 2022 and I do not know when, if ever, they will re-open, so my search for my perfect hook continues.
How is their return policy? I have seen on their website that they have 90 days return policy if you don't love them? I just bought an entire set.
@@KenGud I think you have to return them within 90 days. I have had them for a couple of years now, so I don't think they would take them back.
Did not know they had such a good return policy. Mine broke a few years ago. Gonna see if I can get store credit or something. Thanks for the video. I have 4 Furls hooks. 2 wooden and 2 resin (one of the resin ones broke).

I love my Furls Odyssey hooks. However, they are discontinued. I bought several of the metal Streamline (newer) and although i can manage the weight, the length of the shaft is just a bit too long for my small hands. As are the rest of the Streamlines. I'm disappointed that Furls never has a consistent supply of ANY of their hooks, whether metal, wood, or resin.
Good point I heard that they are working on a more consistent supply with a new manufacturer!
I just recently received a resin streamlined hook and a metal hook. Although beautiful, I am not sold. The ergonomic portion does not go close enough to the hook for my hand placement. I have also found they are slowing me down because the yarn doesn't want to stay on the hook, it continuously falls off and I have to start my stitches over again. I am hoping this is a learning curve issue, but if not, I may be returning them.

I have all the candy shop furls hooks and one oddsey hook. I love the candy shop ones because they fit my small hands. I don’t like the oddsey hooks because they feel to heavy.

The Furls Odyssey have been replaced by the Furls Streamline Metal and they are superb.
