I really love Marc Ford. Just a great person. The lifestyle of a Rockstar has to be difficult with all the temptations and getting caught up in the lifestyle and being worshipped by so many people. He was the ultimate lead guitarist of what was the best Rock band in the world for a stretch of about a half dozen+ years. He played the part so well. Thank God drugs didn't kill him. Such a seemingly humble gentleman. Love the fact he and his wife stuck with each other after I'm sure what was so difficult for both. His belief in God is inspiring. I just have mad respect for him.

Best part of interview; " Is it over now or " ? Yeah . Then smiles. Very touching moment to see.

Wow..The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion changed my life. This guy is a blues master. My first record was Elton John "Don't Shoot Me"

What a great guy. One of my favorite guitarists of all time. Broke my heart when he left the Crowes, came back, then left again. But Im happy for him and I really dig his playing still I think he has grown a lot as a musician and player, and he will always be a talented dude. I like when he jams with Ben Harper or other up and coming players.

Uh, the interviewer pushes pretty hard at the end, but he takes it so well

I've been following Marc since Burning Tree, and I'm really glad to see him back doing his thing. Leaving aside his brilliant work with Black Crowes, he's a talented songwriter in his own right. He kinda deprecates Burning Tree here, but those songs are really good.
Being the same age as Marc, I had to laugh at that first anecdote. I begged my mother to buy me my first record using the same criteria -- I liked the cover art. In my case it was The Guess Who. Good thing I liked the music :)

Kinda of a downer of an interview...but I'm pleased to see Marc looking healthy, he seems bored..from experience I'll tell ya when you're not high you feel bored and not too social...I am overall a Marc Ford fan. Southern Harmony and Amorica are in my regular playlist in 2018. I hope I see Magpie Salute, I'll be wearing my High as the Moon tour shirt. I will take a recording by Marc Ford and Rich Robinson any day over any other Black Crowes representation...i could only ask for more if Eddie and Steve and Johnny were in it.. but that would be a controversy and.... A conspiracy....ha ha ha ....
