This electric bike is hands down better than some of the 5-6k electric bikes, i mean even if the whole bike melts into a unusable blob, you could buy another and you'd still have change to 2 more
Kept replaying your music... Got the disco lights out... Wife and I traveled back in time to our youth...!!° Now about this bike and review...👍👍👍👍👍. Can you one day put all the electric bikes in a row from best to not so best and give us a rating on all of them at the same time...??? I think that would be a great video of all bikes side by side...!!!!
Good review. For those of us who hate cruise control, it comes with an off setting. Only thing missing is that with 3x5 assist levels, it should have a 100nm torque motor, where eco mode is slow acceleration. Regen is super important. Perhaps the stories about burning controller comes from people who live at top of hill and start at full charge. Actually needs 1-9 assist settings, with bigger +/- buttons, too.
My e bike the throttle overrides the level. So i can set the level higher than i want to go and twist the throttle about 3/4 to compensate. It really is handy.
I'm 2 years into ebiking, started at 64. The 20 inch wheels keep me close to the ground. For $300 more than my bike, I could of got this one. This ebike company has a good reputation online. Great bike.
I got a similar bike. Cmacewheel rx20. Not that it needed it but I've upgraded nearly every component on that it nit the same bike. Forks, rear suspension, rear rack, seat and seatpost, longer handlebars, full lighting rework with front and back indicators, rear action cam connected to phone for use as a wide angle rearview mirror, 4 piston brakes, larger chainring and freewheel. I know it's overkill but these ebike have turned into a hobby for me. I've even modded a 12" wheel 400w ebike for my 7 yr old boy.
So what’s your thoughts on the Wallke H6 Max for $1900…. How do you think it holds up compared to this one? I was considering this bike at first, but when I saw the Wallke H6 Max, damn… now I’m undecided… but that price tag is rough on a avenge guys pockets 😬
Thanks for the Super! The price gap makes them hard to compare. Wallke did reach out to me a few weeks ago, but I have not heard back from them yet. Without having the bike to test I can't say much. The H6 Max looks to have better brakes, lights, motor, top speed, forks, and a battery that is over 3 times larger. Personally, the Engine Pro would be my pick because of it's value. But if you know you want to push more than 25 miles per ride, The H6 would be something to consider for sure.
@@LAHover Do you think you’ll ever get the chance to review the H6? Your among the few people who’s input on e-bikes is well balanced and easy to understand… I’m pretty sure if you buy the bike and review it, you’ll get good views and make all your money back as well 👍
Energy recovery sysyem works im that way with a reason. Braking recovery would in most cases overcharge battery and that would lead it in destroying it. What I think they could do is reprograming controller that would do braking recovery when battery is at 50%. But then again, this recovery do recover so low % that it wouldn't be much noticed.
always watch your videos when they come up….The one where you had the red clay all stuck in the bike tires and chain was a challenge … that clay here in the Pacific NW goes for 50 cents a pound for us ceramic artists, Terra Cotta clay with high iron content looks plentiful where you are…ride on
Got mine today and my only issue is the narrow handlebars and how high they are. Apart from that its absolutely amazing! Peaking at 1400w! So they must have upgraded their motor.
Another great video review, Even though I would never own an electric bike it was a through review. Personally I will stick with my gas motor, After adding an aftermarket head and exhaust it took care of the low end bogg as well as midrange. It may only do 50mph, But that is probably more than my cheap Huffy can handle anyway. Keep up the great work with the videos.
Hi, love your review, with your video I have seen all the videos available in RUclips and in Engwe web site, I have had my Engine Pro Upgraded on order with just about every asessory on their web site now for a month, I am in europe, funny thing the Customer service told me that I should have it by this week, another funnny thing I have written 3 emails to the distributors here in europe and they are not answering my emails now,,, now it is not so funny, because they are ignoring me is there anybody out there that have similar problems? By the way, thank you for your excelent review.
I've done 4200miles on mine, I have replaced 2 tyers 1 chain 1 rear sprocket 2 sets of break pads and 1 deighlier, and this month the shock went and noticed that the centre mount brackets have worn so the frame is nackerd, the rear suspension swing arm bushes are worn at the top so the side parts on the suppention rub the frame, great bike but won't last and engwe are a joke for the cost of the pairs. Oh and the front light stopped working and the back light has water in it, oh and if you got the older version then the rear mudguard is dangerous.
My EP2 Pro is my go to bike. My XP 2.0 is my pavement queen. S till want your thoughts for a bike for my 79cc engine. My Schwinn is just too tired after 12 hard years of service.
There’s like 10 clones of this design with weird chinese names (lankleisi, myatu?) .. this one seems to pop up more and seems like it’s doing well.. wanna get two, for my family
can you try the "BBR Tuning Non-Free Wheel Heavy Duty Axle Kit" that bike berry offers? ive been looking into getting it but was unsure of if it was good or not?
You keep saying compared to the other electric bikes you have or have had, does that include a "Lectric Bike" which is one of the most popular bikes on the market and looks identical to that one. Larger tires and the regen system are the only differences, I think. I was going to get this for my wife and I am going to get the X26.
Do you know of any solution for a front rack/saddle to hold heavy cargo on the front of this ebike? It does not have front screws to install a front rack or something similar
Hello, maybe you can help? I just bought the upgraded version. But I noticed a small knocking sound in the pedals when I start without assist. I can also feel the knock. I that normal? 😊 Thank you.
On my bike the factory display USB port wouldn't charge my Samsung S22 enough. I fixed it with a T-Plug Y Wire Harness adapter from Amazon and a 48v USB port for the handlebars from ebay. Works a treat and power to it is controlled by the key and no power with key off

I do love your reviews. The country rough roads you take the bikes on our perfect for the torture test you do..
I don’t know when you bought this bike but my Engwe Engine Pro, (June 2022), the throttle remains active when I am pedaling.
Nice review, thank you
What is your phone holder? it looks really nice and secure!

Great vid! Cheers! :-) I just purchased an Engine Pro Upgraded. It's arriving Monday. So excited! xD
Great video. What kind of basket is that that you mounted on the bike?
When is the over the top LA Hover DIY build coming? Twice as expensive but overall much easier than building a reliable gas bike.

does it have 250w option or just 500w mini? for EU law :(
