I dyno the car a few weeks ago after installing HFC - high flow cat. Now I’m getting 352.6 whp and 399.9 wtq. Dang awesome for only bolt on to the hybrid. 1. Takeda air intake 2. Hi I am looking to get a Takeda Intake for my hybrid. I haven't found any good reviews for them on the hybrid models. Do you recommend them? Do you think there'd be a preformance increase from just the Takeda intake alone?

Hey Guys! As a Hybrid Owner, there is a couple of things to clarify. Check out below this comment! There is no Tune for Hybrids - They said, is not worth doing because you will be making power to the gas motor and nothing for the electric motor. The parts are expensive (There is no Aftermarket for Hybrid parts) if something break and is not worth risk any parts of the Hybrid System. Second you will disrupt a harmony between the electric motor and the gas engine which combined is that the power comes from. Adding a super charge is possible, but you will not get what you really want out of it. In Paper - VQ 3.5 with 328HP and an extra 67HP 472 Lb-Ft Torque from Electric Motor to the crank. (According to Infitinti) See this video - ruclips.net/video/QQ0onLeCm48/видео.html In Dyno - Bone Stock Hybrid - 313WHP with 357 Lb-Ft to the Wheels - (Pretty DAMN good for bone stock) Fuel Efficiency - NOPE! This car have the same fuel efficiency of a 3.7. A 3.0TT is actually gives better fuel efficiency than the Hybrid. Infiniti said hybrid was meant for performance and NOT for fuel efficiency. However, they do claim to be lower emission. Also, the engine shutting down is annoying, but the cool thing is engine on or not, the torque response is instant. So I dont mind it. Totally agree about the missing trunk space, no spare tire and what not. But one thing that can be another reason not to tune a hybrid is that is HEAVY AS HELL. You already have an engine, transmission weight on the car. AWD makes it even heavier. Hybrid Q50s have of all that plus an electric motor and a heavy ass battery in the back seat. In overall, raced with a 3.7 stock and the hybrid beat it by 1 car in the quarter mile. Raced with a 3.0TT and the instant tork of the hybrid gets better take off, but then the 3.0TT wins over the hybrid by a half car. Any of 3.7 or 3.0TT tuned, the hybrid will not stand a chance.
My Hybrid gets excellent gas mileage in comparison to 3.7. Its not for everybody but i do love the torque response especially in sports mode. Im a person who dont care about trunk space because i have a 2nd car to lug stuff around in.
Yeah My M35H gets 26 and I drive pretty OKAY. My wife drives my car more then man and she doesn't even coast! Nothing to tune but a great daily since you can't mod it you cant break it. Also Cops have yet to pull me over in my grandpa car.
Thanks for the vid, I was starting to think you were hating on Q50 Hybrids. lol It's only a matter of time when you'll see these beasts quietly killing the competition, after getting a sick mod.
$noopyRUger I say we should try to get the hybrid notice for mods. The hybrid already kills the 3.7 in a race. We need tunes for them especially for the regular engine because they made them for performance and saving gas
Updating from my comments last wee. Did dyno yesterday with bolt on intake, catback exhaust and finally HFC. After 3 pulls at 7k RPM on 4th gear. 352.6 bhp and 399 lb ft torque.
I have a 2015 Q50s hybrid. And i hear what you are saying. I bought it for gas saving but still wanted the power. Then the mod bug got me... with Takeda intake and Ark catback exhaust I’m pushing 346 whp and 379 wtorque. Just installed HFC and it transformed the driving experience with gain through out the rev range. Hoping someone can tune the car there’s so much potential. Thinking abt super charge but will see.
Ey bro i got hybrid q50 too. I followed you in instagram and i was wondering where did you get your splitter and rear diffuser? Also the air intake? I like your cat back with resonator
Actually the q50 hybrid was the red sport before the red sport, it has 360hp and 400tq and it uses both the engine and electric motor to make it quicker
I started this video without watching and you sound exactly like rich rebuilds 😂. Ive been considering getting the hybrid version and been doing a little reaserch on these VQ35HR engines in particular and what does it for me is the over engineering on 80% of the internals for the constant high revolution. Someone mentioned these are the spawn on the GTR and i can see why
I have a 2014 hybrid sport q50 i raced an older v8 charger (2010-2014 model)and kept up i was so shocked i also raced a tesla model 3 and beat it. This is a sleeper car for sure. I love mine
I love mine too I've had it for 3 years but now I'm a little irritated because I was just told by the dealer at $83,000 mi that my hybrid battery will be going out soon there's no signs or nothing wrong with the car. Periodically the check engine light comes on and I was told due to that and the dealer shoved me away telling me good luck and it's 11,000 from them so I would have to try to find a rebuild one or either sell my car before it goes completely out I don't know what to do at this point but overall it's a good car I have nothing bad to say about it at all except for those hybrid batteries go out anywhere between 80 to 100,000 miles and the warranty only covers 8 years are up to 100,000 miles whichever one is first they knew what they were doing with that 😮💨
Yeah, these are performance hybrids.. Infiniti specified that the hybrid is not to save fuel but to add power.. I believe there is a lot of misinformation and miscalculation going on when it comes to comparison of these hybrid vehicles to other petrol only ones.. I noticed all the comparison sites are giving different figures when it comes to bhp and torque because due to their rarity there is less concensus on how fast they go 0-60 and how much power they produce.. People here are saying they beat tesla model 3s in their hybrids and judging from my 2015 rwd q50s hybrid I'm quite sure I can get from 0-60 in just over 4 seconds in manual mode.. But online they say 5.1 seconds.. Unless we are referring to a different car I really don't see what the hurry is to tune these cars.. I have noticed that some q50s on RUclips have way smaller disk brakes than mine, mine are huge.. I wonder if we are all regretting to different trims..
Admintuning Moncef can tune your Q50 hybrid through Uprev. The HFC and Catback are the exactly same as 3.7 q50. I've seen some stock tune q50 making 350whp just with test pipes and catback.
At the end of the day it still has 350 hp fast asf n I think you can switch to the gas engine if you want and the shifts are way crispier than a 3.7 or 3.0t
A guy I know has a P100 Tesla. Seems like that's the answer. I can't deal with the control "tablet", but FAST wow. Quite the machine. Have you seen the new all electric pick-up truck? 10,000 lbs torque! That's 20x the torque of a Cummins B59 and 400 mile range. Made in MI too. 0-100 in 7 seconds. I posted the link on the "forum"
Do you think you could do one more video about the hybrid models and try to get some shine on them about the mods they need. I know there is a bunch of q50 hybrid owners like me that wants mods on it and a supercharger.
Speaking of gas mileage. I wanted to see what others are getting on highway miles. I'm not sure if my car is giving the wrong mpg reading or not. I put my 18' Q50 Luxe 3.0t RWD on cruise control at 65mph, reset my mpg and I was getting 37.8mpg over a 24 mile stretch. I had personal driving set, my driving settings were on eco transmission/drivetrain and steering on sport. I maybe had a little bit of tailwind, 5 to 10 mph maybe. Has anyone ever gotten mileage this high?
