I hate making that drive in any other vehicle! And the car is fun to throw into the corners too. @xdm1488 8 years and haven't even a blown bulb. Brakes and tires are the only things that wear a little faster than normal because of the extra weight. The infotainment is fine in the older models. The do what you need with ease. Newer models were upgraded

Thanks for the sub! The instant electric torque is always present, only downside is you won’t always have full charge. There is no performance difference on sport vs non sport. The sport comes with paddle shifters and bigger brakes and yes different bumper.

Bought this car when it first came out in late 2013. Still have it. I'm not one to keep a car more than 4 years. I have had this car twice as long as any other car I have owned. Best car I have ever owned. It was really ahead of its time when it came out, but now I feel the Infiniti are becoming dated. I hope they come out with a nice EV or something soon, or I will be leaving the brand.
I have the 2014 Hybrid as well, not the sport model. Have 36000 miles. Had to put on early tires and brakes and a driver's seat replacement - I dont drive the car hard. But I am always amazed at the acceleration and how much fun this car is to drive. It has more torque than my diesels. Its hard to upset this thing. The snow setting is needed tho when I need the AWD feature.. In the winter the mileage is still dismal but come summer I range around 33 MPG and for this much power- THAT IS impressive. For those drivers that remove the run flats- so what do you do when you get some tire trauma?? Is there a bike wheel you can fit with a small tire you throw in the trunk? Not much room there.
This car looks more exciting than the Lexus IS350 of the same generation. I like how this car is bigger and faster. Only thing that I'm absolutely paranoid about, is obviously the hybrid battery health and other components involving the battery. How reliable in general is this model? Do you reckon it's more reliable than the 3.0 s?
The 3.5 is solid the hybrid batteries you need to think about my dude. They’d already 7-10 yrs old at this point depending on the model year you get. Take into account degradation over time. Typically they can easily go 200k. Don’t expect them to be like new that’s for sure. The platform is wonderful tho I miss it
I have a 2014 Infiniti q50s hybrid, and I ran into a problem with the car. It says “chassis control system error” and whenever I come to a complete stop it says “warning place in park”. Do you happen to know what that means ? Any help works for me.

Shift pedals need to be on steering wheel not collum, imagine doing the nurburgring and you need to shift down during a turn.. Would be a nightmare, there is a good reason why it's on wheel
The throttle response seems to lag 1-2 sec. I literally floor the throttle in sports mode and it takes a few sec for the car to react. It's not instant torque as with other cars in its segment. Is this normal?

EV mode is mostly on in lower speed scenarios, This is a performance hybrid not a Prius. When the battery is going bad lights on the dash will turn on, and your warranty is covered up to 100k so don’t worry too much. My battery isn’t as strong as it was 35k miles ago but it still accelerates hard.
I’ve had a 3.0Luxe, and a very tuned 3.0 Q50s, and I think imma have to add this to the lineup.. Commyfornia gas prices are a literal pain and uh I think this’ll be a great decision. Perfect balance of power and efficiency.

@@AtlasWilder It's a shame Infiniti didn't market the Q50 Hybrid better. It's better stock than the Red Sport. I test drove the Red Sport too. I didn't think it was that much faster than my G37. I think Infiniti lost its vision as the Performance and Luxury Brand. Basically, the only performance they still have is the Q50 and Q60. They got rid of the QX70 too. I think the new Performance and Luxury Brand might be Alfa Romeo. They've got some nice cars in the Giulia and Stelvio. If they can get their reliability issues fixed, they might do well.
Honestly typical 3.6 maintenance google the maintenance schedule. I’m not a tech my any means and the hybrid system is bullet proof from what I’ve seen. Just don’t brake torque it lol
Depends what your budget is. But they being said the market is crazy right now so that’s not too awful. I sold my 2015 S for 16k lol 😆 it had about 100k miles. So 20k it’s bad. If I only had 20k I would do it again.
With the death of the Q50 hybrid, Infiniti is dead to me. Hopefully they bring EV models. I really like that new Nissan Arya. But, with my Model 3 recently totaled, I'm probably getting a Model Y. I still enjoy my 2018 Q50 Hybrid and 32 mpg without having to Supercharge is not too shabby.
I hope they can bring it back with some newer models otherwise I’m definitely considering other cars like an RS3 or AMG GLA45, model Y is still out of my price range. Every time I drive the hyrbid q50 I realize they were really on to something special and just didn’t give it that extra push.

Have you taken your car for an alignment already if so how much they charge in your area? Here in Pa it’s $300 due to the DAS or $100 without DAS
Been charged $250 in Colorado and $120 in TX varies on dealership. It’s not a basic alignment they have to calibrate steering wheel I believe.

Test drove a q60 redsport with a friend, it wasn’t mind blowing in the stock setup, however I know that platform is a monster with a tune.

unless the g37 is modified I highly doubt that lol. this car is much more refined so it may not seem like its going as fast.

I know this comment is a year old, but I have g37s sedan and no way is it punchier and faster I think the hybrid you drove is a lemon.
