    I feel bad that my tax money is used to produce crap like this. What makes this all all the funnier you are allowed to buy AR15 perfectly legally in Finland. The name of that guy had was not very Finnish so I would suspect him being an American freelancer that got hired to do story and maybe Yle not even knowing what the agenda was going to be. Also for context Swedish speaking Finns have a reputation here of something akin to collage liberals. Don't beat your self too hard over it most likely the article got couple of thousand clicks and majority thought it was tosh.

      @@RattlesnakeDefense Well for one, you actually have to get a license to own a gun. The ar-15 this guy is talking about is for hunting or competition shooting only. Here, you have to prove that you're a competent, responsible owner and have an actual reason to own the gun you seek. That Swedish name part is nothing but a Finnish version of blaming the jews. This guy didn't give you any actual information. Just confirmation bias.
      edit: oh I forgot, one of our biggest political dramas recently was about a parliament member owning a gun unlawfully. Right wing of course, but that seems to be what right wingers do these days, break their own laws. Sending my regards to that puppy one of your potential vice-presidents killed.

  • @joshandmanuela
    @joshandmanuela 8 месяцев назад +4

    Politicians go after AR's mostly because of the fear people have due to media hype which is what politicians and the media want. It has nothing to do with how often an AR is used in a crime because the facts don't support a ban on AR's. Politicians know that if some sort of civil disturbance or civil war broke out that semi-auto rifles in the hands of the people would prevent the government from doing what it wanted to the people. I enjoyed hearing your rant.

    I think in the brief clips you showed you offered a coherent and cohesive argument as an answer to his question of "why"...
    But I'll also say that regardless of where someone lives whether it be 30 minutes up holler road or in the ghettos of the largest cities in America, all these people should be able to aquire an AR or AK... Our rights are not rooted in spacial demographics... They flow from vertical God given rights. And a couple horizontal documents namely The Constitution and Bill of Rights memorialize this and point us towards this transcendent truth.
    .... and I know you know this, and I also know the way you answered him concerning people living far distances from any help was also logical and appropriate...
    I'll finish by saying... ultimately I think the reporter was near fair... We are certainly going to feel very defensive with the way certain questions are framed and perhaps coupled with someone's mannerisms and cadence can certainly heighten our on guard-ness...
    It's to be expected... from both sides of such a heated topic of demarcation...
    Good job, thanks for sharing n' God bless brother

    The whole thing was in swedish. Because for some reason the national radio of finland takes my tax money and makes prodcasts in swedish wich i dont understant because i am not gay. Also i love weapons myself. Such beautiful peaches of history. Guns like stg, m1garand, mp40 and ak. I would love to work whit these guns and own them. Dont get upset if some swedish speaking finn tries to make fun of you. No one likes them even here. They are just babys who think goverment will help you always and has your best intrest in mind. You knew how to answer the questions you had a business mindset like you said you’re a gun dealer at one point in your life. Most of your experiences had a speak to people in general, but he was just trying to pick apart. What our deal is here in this country, there should be no laws against any kind of firearm and anybody who got problems in their lives. No strict way of dealing with what we have laws for.. but we don’t need federal government involved in anything totally corrupt. I don’t care what agency you picked.

    This is how this went: the reporter got contacted by his superior in FI or wherever in Scandinavia and was told to get a gripping story with an insider about gun violence and what the typical gun owner thinks, how those people tick. In the end that reporter had to do what he did or he has to go home no longer being able to enjoy God's own country. Trust me, FI or SWE, you don't wanna hang dead over the fence there. 😉 Comparing a society armed to one unarmed is totally useless. The lack of understanding of the constitution, which I'd consider a necessity to establish on the interviewer / reporter side prior to approaching a US citizen for an interview, is making it impossible for him to comprehend what guns are all about. That dude was lousy prepared and you were holding yourself admirable while talking to that moron. Just my .02$.

    • @DissedRedEngie

      let me tell you. When we gained our independence, I cannot overstate my appreciation that our government was built on making the government trust worthy that we didn't even need to consider going on a war against ourselves. Can it do bad, yes. I am very unhappy about our current government trying to emulate your government. But when the voting starts, we are not making that mistake again.
      We have guns, we just don't throw them to potential psychopaths all willy nilly, because some guy in the past didn't realize that guns were only going to get deadlier. We understand guns. Every adult is given the opportunity to join the FDF, I myself am an NCO. I was supposed to be a NCO gunsmith, but last minute bureaucracy changed my position. I applied to a gunsmith school. My uncle does competition shooting and I'm planning on starting too when I get enough money to do it. I was also planning on visiting that shooting range in Vegas with all sorts of guns, but I recently found out that we have those here too. We have guns. Do I think what you guys do is anywhere near sanity. No! It is you who don't understand how a normal country works. It's not normal to expect to be gunned down in a middle of a street by a thug. It's not normal to wish for the day a civil war happens. It's not normal that you have a perceived need for lethal force at a moments notice. And by far, I have never seen people I trust less than Americans to have guns, because y'all are not responsible gun owners.

    • @DissedRedEngie
      @DissedRedEngie 7 месяцев назад +2

      Well, you're forgetting one really important part. Finland has guns. Lots of them. We just uhh, expect our gun owners to be responsible gun owners.
