- There's a mood on Stage 56 - it's the last night of #LateLateSheeran week and our last show before summer break, and we're not quite sure what our studio and show will look like in the fall. But we know we've had a really good time hanging out with each other and all of you - to the Summer of Susan!

To Be Honest, I hope that They Prolong this Setup. This Setup with the Staff of The Late Late Show feels Natural. Everyone is Just Having Fun which (to me anyway) makes this show Better. James Corden's Interaction with his Staff is Just the Greatest!
Why all the capital letters? I'm not criticising, I just found it difficult to read! My brain was telling me it was just odd and didn't run right on the page.

I was on the verge of tears during Corden's acknowledgement of how special this format has been and then Steve played that news intro and the dam breached. 😭😭😭 Thanks James and team for an era of television that I will treasure forever ❤.

Even James knows this was the best format ever, but they all have to bow to the corporate will, that sucks the fun out of it.
@@scratchy996 I'm really hoping corporate looks at out comments and realize they'll lose a lot of their audience if they go back. They've said in the show that they actually read comments so I'm hoping they'll take our advice. 😊
It's been a blast. I loved each and every one of "whatever this is". And I'll tell you what this is, it is the show that kept us sane during this crazy time and for that I'm grateful guys. Love you

Y'all have brought me so much joy during this weird time that we are coming out of. When you started having just the staff without the audience, there was this intimacy that was built between everyone and we the virtual audience, absolutely love/loved it. I think that it was a genius move that y'all were more intentional with one another and it only brought the humor and joy up several notches. I hope that after you have your beautiful summer break, that when you come back, you don't have the audience because lets be real, we the people of RUclips, are all you need 😂🙌🏿
I totally agree. I really grew to love everyone on his staff, the band, his side kick, everyone. I think it's a much better show without an audience!

I didn't like this show until they didn't have an audience. Now it's the best of the US late night talk shows on RUclips for me to wake up to here in the UK in the morning. The banter between James and the crew/band is much better than anything they could do with an audience.
I hope they keep this format. Hopefully they'll read the youtube comments and see just how much everybody wants them to. There's not a single comment asking to bring back the audience and that says something.
For me, I wouldn't say I disliked the show before this format. But it was just the same as the other shows to me, didn't stand out And if the producers return to the old format, the show will fade into the woodwork for me, and be just another cookie-cutter late night show.
Yeah, James is funny, love his humor. But his rapport with his staff is special. If they cut that out, they cut out something special. I probably wouldn't watch as much, but t I'd check in once in a while like I do with Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert, etc. I check in, but I'm not a regular fan for their shows like I've been with this show during and after quarantine.

#TheLateLateShowwithJamesCorden, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING FROM THIS FORMAT. It is much more friendly, much more funny, genuine, natural, intuitive, impromptu, unpredictable, and connects to us as your audience much better. This format is missing in all comedy programs, and you can see that so many people have become your new fans because of this new format. There are all other late night shows with that old traditional format which is kinda tiring, repetitive, theatrical, and too scripted and structured, and to be honest in the old format, the parts with audience (e.g. "were you paying attention" part) and celebrity sing-along part were less enjoyable and less relatable to us as your audience. The other parts of the old show (e.g. "celebrity noses" and "dogs wearing sunglasses") were also personally our least favorite parts of the old format of the show. I personally mostly only miss the "Cooking with chefs" part of the old format where James cooked with chefs, and you can easily include that segment in this new format too. This NEW format without audience is what we are happy with, what we enjoy, and would really want it to continue, with no or really minimum tweaks (if any of it would need any change, which we really hope not). We also like the full (specially open-space) musicals in this new format like the one for no-lockdown with Ariana Grande. If you can make more full musicals like that (rather than the old crosswalk musicals) would be great. So, PLEASE, be unique and keep this same format that we really like, this is your super-power skill that not all other late night show hosts have, and is really special only for this show. This is what majority of your audience want from your show. Just scrolling through this thread of comments you can see that everyone want your new format to stay as is. Also how long would be your mini summer break? we miss the show in your break, is there any chance we can watch your cruise show? or could you please have some small episodes still prepared and published on youtube during your summer break by any chance? Please come back sooner, summer gets pretty boring otherwise. Thank you for considering our most important request from you! ♡ #TheLateLateShowwithJamesCorden

That's actually a really good idea! Have the current format segments for online services, and if they they can still get viewers on TV, have a segment with a live audience.
That's a really good compromise for those of us that enjoy this banter.

Dont change the banter with the crew, dont change having no audience, listen to your fans. Dont turn it back into a boring late night format everybody is fed up with. I'd rather listen to you and your crew talk about the perfect sandwich, than any celebrity bs. You have something special and i fear it will be lost after you'll return.

May the only change that happens be those two to three inches Reggie talked about. The show has been amazing as it's been in these past months. The laughs I've gotten from it have always been needed, and the summer will likely be filled with me watching them again. All of you have earned this break, and from the sound of James' voice alone, you all deserve to stay like this when you return.

Seriously, is this when we start a letter writing or tweeting campaign to get the show to keep this format? I know other shows have used a variation of this the last few months but none have the vibe of this due to all the personalities of this crew. I was genuinely feeling "Oh no, don't say the audience is coming back to the studio!". To quote Kid 'N' Play, "What a blast, Kid! We sure had good fun while it lasted."
This is why I love the late late night show show with James. It’s all love, laughter and passion.

I agree. I've never seen the actual show because it's on too late. And I occasionally watched the you tube of Trevor Noah or Stephen Colbert. But never looked at any others because they are all the same talk show stuff. Then I found this one just a few months ago. I look forward to each new post. I enjoy this group so much because they all seem genuinely nice and they are all so funny. It's like being at a party with friends. I'll miss it a lot. It's sad that it's over. The Ed Sheeran appearances must have been pre-recorded this week, as Ed has been back in the UK - at Wembley on Tuesday for the Germany v England Euro game and on Wednesday he was meeting Prince Harry at a Wellchild charity event - both live events... Unless, he can teleport.
They have been wearing the same clothes all week (except Ian) so they must have shot a lot of the episodes in one day. None of the news is actually very recent.
Summer break?????? No!!! Please CBS just put out everything you have recorded for us to enjoy this summer, I could listen to these people talk about nothing all day. Also please don’t bring back the audience in the fall. The people demands this format to stay forever!

my boyfriend of 4 years recently passed away and I used to show him clips of this show and we'd both laugh together, every morning I would watch your monologues on youtube and they would make my day. after he passed on April 29, these silly clips meant even more to me & are one of the only things that have brought me a semblance of joy in my mornings. thank you guys so much for making an amazing show & for making this sad girl, a bit happier.
