You got the combo perfectly! To think it started as a late night show with the conventions and all (and it's own bit of flavor, as all late night has), and now it's become whatever THIS beautiful mess is :)
As soon as you see the monologue is over 12 minutes you know it is going to be an instant classic. The best monologue section in late night TV anywhere. By unanimous decision! And still late night monologue champions!! The Late Late Shoooow!!!
It was honestly a little shaky the first day back with an audience. As I had only started watching this show after the pandemic started, I was worried they would revert to a tame, PG-13-ish show. This episode put my mind at ease though 😀
@@daniter4467 yeah that was much better this time. And we actually got to see it being played which is nice since it means more to us than any of the live audience.
I've been watching this wonderful, insane ride since it started, and this was easily one of the best!! I vote for a staff wrestling round robin on the cruise!!
My new favorite clip. You all shine when you’re talking about nothing. This is exactly the kind of content that I’m here for!! (And yes, James telling the audience to shut up twice was incredibly cathartic)
@@TheLateLateShow you guys should know that you did a great job keeping everyone entertained. As evidenced by me coming along with countless others after almost an year just to revisit random episodes
I’ve never clicked on a video so quickly that had the word “staff” in it. The crew and camaraderie make my whole day! Love Reggie tapping the salad bowl instead of clapping!!!
Best show in a while , I was laughing out loud for most of it. I thought bringing back the audience would take away from the new spirit of the show but it's nice to hear more people laughing at the interaction between James and the crew.
The show can literally start charging the audience. The monologue is literally a stand-up show now. They have celebrity interviews and musical performances to end the show. I would not be surprised and actually like it if James starts roasting the audience. And considering this show airs at midnight, it's perfect.
I’m actually kinda surprised they’ve never talked to the guy who holds the mic! They’ve literally talked to every single member of the staff it feels like 😂
EXACTLY! I got on my phone to say, they should've talked to the mic guy. Even if James just said "mic guy, have anything to say" and he just shook his head, gold.
Best news intro ever lol .. soooo very glad that you have kept the crew interaction and Hagar’s response was perfect I genuinely laugh out loud alone every time I watch you guys !!!
I don’t think I’ve loved a monologue more, this was all time the best and funniest one yet😂 the whole crew is about to fight each other and im sooooo ready to see Winnie vs Hagar!
This was one of the all time best monos! I loved that we got to hear from so many staff members. And we even heard more of Steve's news intro this time!
I used to never watch this show. I liked the other ones before. I still watch them. But; due to Covid and the changes - this is so much better. I watch daily now.
I’m so glad they are still interacting with the band and the audience so much still. I love all the off the cuff humor that comes out of it. It feels like everyone on this show is just having a good time, unscripted mostly. Love James too. King of Late Light!
James' laugh when he looks at the teleprompter and realizes it says "Well we can't just talk about the weather all day, its time for the news" and they haven't been talking about the weather for a *while* is the best
I honestly have no concept of what this show was like before this format as I have only seen short clips of interviews. But this seemingly newer format is fabulous. Reggie Watts casually eating a bowl of salad at the keyboard is amazing.
Have watched the show all during the pandemic and loved being able to see how a late night show is actually produced and seeing the people behind the scenes -so happy you haven’t change since adding the audience! But this one was awesome!! Off the rails and totally hilarious!!
We TOLD you a studio audience was a bad idea 😂. Telling the audience to shut the Eff up 😂. Wait until they try to clap along with something and completely screw it up.
I think it's cute that Winnie thought she could take on Hagar. The thing is Hagar could probably quietly destroy half of the room before the other half of the room realized what was happening.
I feel like they've got back in the groove now with the audience being there. The first few I felt like it was a bit forced but this one I forgot about the audience being there.
I'm still happy that the Late Late Trust Tree is still here with the banters. Additional laughter is good energy booster too. Thanks CBS, Nick and Late Late Show Producers.
Since we’re putting it all out there tonight, I will overshare that I actually peed laughing at “the night the wheels finally came off.”
it'd be a real shame if I were to pin this comment....

The USA chant wasn't even weird to us because we know what nonsense they go up to 😂
@@ader6673 i
this segment was downright amazing. if this is the wheels coming off... let 'em fly
So glad they are keeping the crew and all the shenanigans. Even after the audience came back.
Factz
Now if they could just quite down the audience, that would be great.
I literally came here to say those exact words.
100% the format is a great compromise!

My words 👍👍
10 mins of shenanigans; 5 mins of news....sounds about right to me!!😂😂😂🖖
We love the long ones too!
@@TheLateLateShow You nasty!
The monologue used to be my least favorite part of this show and why I rarely watched it.
I'm really happy the audience being back hasn't messed up what they started during lockdown...this is absurd in the best way
I can't get with the laugh-track tho. Live audiences are .... annoying.

4:00 I died laughing at "...but then HE decides when you're done"
I think it went over a lot of people's head
Oh man that was one of the best bits of improv I’ve seen, just hilarious!
Where was the improv?
@@travelwell6049 Watch this video, I think you can tell most of it is improv!
Telling the audience to shut up … twice. 😄 I found that quite satisfying.
And while they were cheering USA! Wow… this was EPIC
If only he'd said it before the news jingle. But at least they turned the volume up this time so you could hear it
@@daniter4467 yeah that was much better this time. And we actually got to see it being played which is nice since it means more to us than any of the live audience.
It's almost like a subtle way of saying "we were better without you."
🤣
Winnie: "I'd fight Hagar. "
James: "I think you would destroy Hagar."
Hagar: "NO FUCKIN' WAY!! Do you know Krav Maga??"
Best monolog ever! Lmao 🤣 🤣
Hagar probably learnt a thing or two being in the Israeli military...
Hagar is hilarious! 🤣
Nobody is destroying Hagar. I will fight them.

this is easily my fave mono thus far. far & away, THE fave. LOL
No offense to Colbert, Kimmel, or Fallon, but this is my favorite late night show, hands down!

By far the best show ever for starting an inner ring fight club you all are wonderful. I haven't laughed this hard in years.
Hagar was in the Israeli Army, she can probably destroy anyone in that room lol
In an average room, Hagar finds 43 items she can use as a lethal weapon, including the room itself. One of my favourite Chuck Norris jokes.
