I complained to Horizon about the bearings and the dirt that kills them. They said they’d send the parts. When I went to open the box I found a new 57t spur gear, the center diff housing and the drive ends! Yet no bearings! They basically gave me a new center diff minus the sun and planetary gears! Horizon is kinda hit or miss with the warranty lately! Great video! Still love my K4s!
P.S. Double check your spur gear to see if it’s loose! It makes a crunchy sound when the pinion slips!
Wow you got some nice parts they sent me a whole diff when I got it because it was dry and new bearings twice I give up I just want it to work even if the bearings survive its only a matter of time before the pinion and spur are shot. I check every time and no noise from the pinion so far. hopefully they will redesign this case to prevent this.
Yes they definitely have a flaw in the design of how some of these things are designed but you also have to realize they do not accommodate for sand like bead blasting the head on your car and not cleaning it before you reinstall it but if you watch old Racers they replace the bearings after every race the only Savor you might have is to use a dry lubricant such as powdered graphite or a silicone spray the evaporates other than that I think you should just get on your 3D printer and design something Innovative to keep the dirt out LOL anyways keep up the good work I love all your videos❤😊😊 PS but keep in mind Engineers design stuff to accommodate their particular assembly process but not necessarily with mechanics in mind LOL😂😂😂
I have a 6yr old who’s been outside maybe 10 times this summer! If I didn’t have kidney failure we’d stay at the park or backyard instead of him on the tablet and me on dialysis! As a kid I was never indoors!
Damn bro I hate to hear that your having problems. I was never inside as a kid either they would have put me on a.d.d. medicine or something I couldn't keep still in school I would look outside and had to go. Maybe you can do a small crawler track inside or race around in some kind of smaller micro cars?
Holy crap that bearing is toast. I wonder how many more are like that?
I would never have known if the center diff was not dry from the factory this thing would not wheelie it was ballooning the front tires so I took it apart first run and every run the bearings are gone! So I imagine there are a lot like that
