I forgot to mention one huge upgrade that a lot of people want and that is the separation of throttle and steering on the avc setup so no longer do you have to have throttle control when using steering I know that will be huge for speed runners
Thank you very much it will be nice to actually see the screen outside unlike the dx5c you couldnt see anything with it changing cars was a struggle lol
Wow looks pretty cool I like the warning stuff for stuff over heating and the low battery alarm.....and that u can customize it to fit your hands is pretty cool to....
Well really enjoyed the video , and got to say really nice to see spektrum joining the new age handsets , Since owning the Radiolink RC8X i have to say i love the use of a tough screen and not having to dive through JOG wheels to change settings and this handset. I will say the 3ms response time on the handset again like my own you sure do feel the difference mind . So you know if the lower latency is available on all the compatible receivers or just a select few . Thanks for the in depth look at the handset and also the rundown . Again though yes its expensive , but will say its definitely a investment when you own a few trucks . Stay awesome Chris :)
Thank you very much for the support. I am not sure about the receivers they can make an update for them as well so maybe that will happen they just made a huge update with the plane receivers and transmitters they actually added channels somehow. I cant wait to use it
Will be very curious to hear your long term thoughts on this radio. It just too expensive for my taste. You can buy other radios in the $300 price range that will do everything you ever need for bashing. All that said it's an amazing radio!
I will definitely do a 1 year review. It is expensive and there are cheaper radios for sure I don't have any experience with them to say for sure if they compare as far as hall effect sensors and stuff like traction control and anti lock, launch control coice alerts. I forgot to mention in tbe vid you can set up avc throttle and steering separately I know that was a issue for some people they didn't want throttle control just steering and you can watch youtube on this 😆
How has this radio been working for you? I'm looking at getting one sometime next year if the reviews are good enough and i just want to say you do an awesome job reviewing this radio without sounding like a Futaba or other brand fanboy.
Thank you very much I just try to be honest in my reviews I just want my viewers to make an true and informed decision. So far its been great I really enjoy the radio especially to be able to slow a servo down I find is a big help.
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife I loved the review and i can't wait to get mine i have a diverse collection of cars racers and bashers. And i've always wanted a higher end radio especially from Spektrum like the iXSR and it's previous version the DX6R despite it's flaws. I mainly liked Spektrum for their AVC feature and coming included in a lot of Arrma, Losi and other Horizon Hobby vehicles. And i started to realize that if i buy vehicles from those brands and switching out radios out of the box i would be throwing away $55 - 75 receivers if i would be replacing them with Futaba or any other one.
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife I appreciate that since i'm doing my own research getting this new radio. i also bought a DX6C this month to get setup for the purchase of my own iXSR next year and i'm hoping it'll be the best transmitter i've ever owned. Since my RC8X turned out to be a massive letdown and potential liability if i kept using it since i've seen them have major issues worldwide. Even a member on my forum had major issues with his and eventually sold it and bought a Noble NB4+.
Thank you very much. I keep Traxxas on one remote then all my Spektrum was on another but I ran of memory lol everything else I throw on the dumbo cant beat the price and have a gyro I have about 50 cars that's a lot of remotes lol
I’ve had this since it came out. I absolutely love it. I have every RC bound. It’s outstanding, even for racing. Which by the way it remembers the last model so just after powering you can start controlling, which is great on the track for warmups. Battery life is outstanding and can be replaced. I picked up a different wheel and it uses the NB4 mount, just fyi. As you point out AVC throttle and steering are individually tunable.

Good for you bro. You deserve an awesome radio! Boy, you gotta lot of options to play with on that beauty 👍🏻…

@justinfolster2278 I like that too I think that's going to be real handy with the boat sure would suck to have it shut down due hitting thermal limits

@@T1Jafo lol thank you very much
Fancy. Got more features then ill ever ever use
lol yup me too I forgot to mention the one feature most asked for and that is steering and throttle are separate on the avc
I’m going to be a child here 1st ! 😂now I’ll watch the review lol
Awesome hope you enjoy the video
I debated it. But then saw the price. I didn’t pull the trigger. Can’t wait to finish this and see what you think

I have two dx5 pros and a radiolink rc8x. Love them all, I will be buying this one as it seems to adress all the issues I do have with the others.
