@markvar2000 my dad and mother got married in 1980 and at the time he had a 69 convertible with a 500. He left it at his uncle's house for years and at some point it got drug out into the pasture and his cousin's busted the windows out of it and shot it up and shot it up. When I was about 9 he went and got it and brought it home but it was too far gone for him to fix so he scrapped it
Thanks Dennis & crew for great videos. I actually drove one like this back in 1975 or 76. It was all white outside and inside. I was just a young Norwegian kid working at a resort on Lake of the Woods, Ont. Canada. The old American owner used to be a regular guest at New Moon Lodge for many years. He never liked to back his Cadillac onto the narrow dock to unload his luggage and fishing gear. So he made me do it and then drive it up to the parking lot. Never drove one again, but I will never forget it. What a CAR! Greetings from Bergen, Norway.
Man you can't say enough good things about Dennis and his crew! Super polite well spoken respectful and never sarcastic. Even if they don't exactly agree with someone. THANKS AGAIN FOR AN OUTSTANDING VIDEO GUYS AND YOUR CAMERA WORK AND EDITING ZACK! ✌️
Other than I was just about to mention when they ordered their food the only person that said please whilst ordering was Alex, was probably noticeable to me at the moment is because I have a 3 year old and we are on her with please and thank yous whenever she might forget.
My dad took me to a movie called Thunderbolt and Lightfoot starring Clint Eastwood. At the end of the movie he drives a red Eldo with white top. A month later my dad had a one just like it. Thing was a beast.
My dad had a 1975 Eldorado when i graduated in 75. Was an amazing car. Big and heavy but he would punch it off the line and it would leave about 10' of rubber. Fairly quick for the time and being so large. Great memories. Thanks Dennis and crew.
I saw one of these cars my last year of high school . Thar was 77 and I looked at the engine because I did not believe it had a 500 cid . I actually worked in a Caddy dealer and fell in love with the 1977 it had fuel injection .
OMG! ❤ When the garage opened my heart fluttered. I bought a 71 Eldo Convertible in Cypress Green from a former Professor @ Notre Dame in South Bend, IN sometime in the early 90s. And yes the 500 did make a good bit of HP. It surely seemed odd though when you punched it off the stop and smoke flowed passed the front windows!!! Most folks had no Idea they were front wheel drive! And man, did they go like a tank through snow! I only had it for a few weeks and flipped it for $500 profit which was huge back then but it surely was a dream to drive while it was mine!
Cool drop top cadi. This reminds me of the clint Eastwood movie. Thunderbolt and Lightfoot where at the end of the movie clint buys a brand new 1973 white with lipstick red interior convertible Eldorado Cadillac for his friend. After they got robbery money. Cool video. Jeff bridges is in the movie too. I always look forward to seeing Coffee Walks with Dennis Collins videos . Thanks for preserving the cars from the past for future generations to see. Its like going back into time every time I see old cars resurrected back to life😊. Great video 😊
My Dad worked for Bland Cadillac in Houston for 26 years as a mechanic. He was able to purchase for our family car a pre-owned 72' Eldorado Cadillac which I drove, one of my brothers also drove and it ended up being a complete family driven car. Our family was only the second owner of the vehicle. The first owner was an elderly woman that just drove the car to church and home. It was silver-blue in color. Beautiful car and one of a kind with the huge engine and luxury at it's best.
First time I stepped into Buck Owens Chrystal Palace and he had his Eldorado mounted side ways behind the bar with all hand made saddle leather with tooling on every inch of the Interior back in 2001. Wonder if it's still there. I was impressed. Great save Dennis, Great video, Great memories.
I drove a 74 mk4. Lincoln. Nothing this big. Rag. Wow. Nothing mentioned about fwd. Back then. How many bodies.😂 That baby is a tank. My favorite food truck .😋💙💜❤️👍
I had a 71 before children came along, the word is opulence! I had the parade boot and wow was that classy! I look forward to seeing what becomes this one.
I've driven these before in the 70's was a lot boy at a BMW dealer and drove every car on the lot and showroom new and used they drive like a very large pillow 😎
Good evening Dennis . Well everything is bigger and better in Texas including an Eldorado !! Well done Dennis l guess this won't be around for long ? And only acouple of weeks ago l found out what the CJ stands for .......obvious when you think about it ! 😊😊 .......Civilian Jeep for those who don't know !
I have put the 70, 500ci in a few pickups, an 80 Malibu, and a few 76 GMC motorhomes, they pull the motorhomes thru the mountains better than the 403 or 455.
I have a 75 coupe deville. It's a great car but wouldn't stand a chance protecting you like modern cars do. These old cars don't have crumple zones like the newer ones do.
I do love coffee walk. Good to see Dennis and his daughter together again. She’s so pretty and intelligent. Dennis has to be proud of her and she’s such a hard worker at CB Jeeps. Break a leg this week fellow Texans!! 🤠🙋♂️✝️
Great video and a beautiful Eldorado. I just picked up a 1970 Deville that was color changed in the 1970s to a dark blue metallic. Debating going back to the original burgundy firemist color. Keep up the great work.
I had a chance to buy a 1969 Eldorado for $2500 in the mid 90’s. It was an older relative. It had a new paint job and needed put together. 40,000 miles. I was 19 so too dumb to appreciate it. Awesome video.
I was the proud owner of a 72 Eldorado convertible during my Army Career. Had it shipped to Hawaii for a two year tour. It truly was a lady magnet in 1986 and 1987. Interestingly, in the early 70's, the United States was far from having the use of the metric system common place in every day life. Yet, there it was on the front fenders 8.2L instead of 500, which seemed more American to me.
A customer of mine in 1977 at a French restaurant I worked at has a white top, red with white leather 1976 Eldorado convertible. Serial#1. No idea what ever happened to it. he was the heir to Piggly Wiggly store chain. This was a great find.
My Dad had a 1976 Eldorado and I'd slide in the back seat from one side and slam into the other with every turn. It got 7-8 MPG and I remember we tried to take it on a trip to Disney World and could watch the fuel needle move with every mile. Had to fill up like 2-3 times per hour.
In the late 80s. Some of us discovered the 472/500s as a way to daily driver G body that’s fun. Caddies would drive in the yard purring like a kitten. Body all rotted out. Wasn’t much for aftermarket cams or intakes. Had a 70 eldo 500 and a 71 472. The highest compression and first year for dropped. 71 ran well on 93.
My friends dad had a 70 Cadillac el dorado. We were in high school and we would meet at his house on weekends so we could take that car. Leaving or late 80’s Camaros Mustangs custom trucks parked. I remember it was front wheel drive and would smoke the front tires with ease. 8.2 liters with an ayog horn good times
My father in law had a 79 Eldorado here in the UK in the early 90's. However, fuel being around 4 times what it is in the US, it was a little expensive to run. He had it for a couple of years though. Sadly this was before i met his daughter.

A true Land Barge and I absolutely love it!

@howardclements7871 awesome parenting..I did not notice that myself wife and I don't have children is probably why I didn't not notice it.
My dad took me to a movie called Thunderbolt and Lightfoot starring Clint Eastwood. At the end of the movie he drives a red Eldo with white top. A month later my dad had a one just like it. Thing was a beast.
Love everything about this video, seeing an old Cadillac and Kelly Farms in the same video.
0:42. Dennis is like Rudy Russo (Kurt Russell) in the the Used Cars film! He would have made a great used car salesman back in the day 😂
I had a 71 cad de ville with a 502 in it, huge land yacht, 4 Dr huge trunk, 10 mpg, loved it! So did everyone who rode in it...sweet old boat...
Wow that old Cadillac is a whole lot of real estate!!! WOW!!!!!
My dad had a 1975 Eldorado when i graduated in 75. Was an amazing car. Big and heavy but he would punch it off the line and it would leave about 10' of rubber. Fairly quick for the time and being so large. Great memories. Thanks Dennis and crew.
Very nice Caddy. Something different. Always enjoy a new Coffee Walk. Thanks Dennis!
Love that car. Another great video guys. Dennis and the team are super polite and very respectful. 🤠
I saw one of these cars my last year of high school . Thar was 77 and I looked at the engine because I did not believe it had a 500 cid . I actually worked in a Caddy dealer and fell in love with the 1977 it had fuel injection .
I see that car with that hood ornament and immediately Curtis Mayfield’s “Pusherman” comes to mind
Great video & always nice to see older cars get another chance in life . amazing how they made cars back in the days. Thanks for showing on RUclips..
Love these classic American luxury road yachts,
These Cadillac Eldorados have so much presence, pure automotive exuberance 🇺🇸👍🏻
I'm eyeballing my high school '79 Z28 on the lift....🤩
I had a copper with tan interior '78 Ttop Z28 in Hi Skool 1983-1985 until 1992
It's going to BAT soon

I do believe that hood ornament is the "Flying Lady" off a 1941 Cadillac 🤔

Hi there folks I was out trick or treating with my kiddo and I spotted two jeep beasts... A yellowish Comanche Honcho and an early 2 door wagoneer...
I've driven these before in the 70's was a lot boy at a BMW dealer and drove every car on the lot and showroom new and used they drive like a very large pillow 😎

L-O-V-E this year Eldo!! What a fantastic car!
Hey Dennis ! Nice Eldo! Three Stiff Trunk!
My Dad’s 75 Fleetwood had a 500 in it. You could get 500’s in other models.
Not in 71, it was Eldorado only
You all needed to talk about that Z28! That was badass!
What a machine! Thanks for sharing
Those are some good looking Tecovas. They somehow manage to look cooler the more worn they get.

King of the Road!
A customer of mine in 1977 at a French restaurant I worked at has a white top, red with white leather 1976 Eldorado convertible. Serial#1. No idea what ever happened to it. he was the heir to Piggly Wiggly store chain. This was a great find.
Great episode!! Man that burger looked good
My Dad had a 1976 Eldorado and I'd slide in the back seat from one side and slam into the other with every turn. It got 7-8 MPG and I remember we tried to take it on a trip to Disney World and could watch the fuel needle move with every mile. Had to fill up like 2-3 times per hour.
Nice land yacht, Denny.

So clean remember when I got my Buick in Texas like new 65 air car with power v6 , I made money on it after a drove it 3 years collector in Alabama .
Very cool great vid!!!! 👍👍
Alex orders food plain and simple like i do, lol
Good video. The Dodge Ramcharger is still available in Pasadena, CA.

The front inner wheel wells look like tubs that you’d see in the bed of a lowered pick up truck with huge wheels!! Haha!
Great Find 👍
